Specialties
The Redding Civic Auditorium is a great place to see great concerts, family entertainment, a wide variety of conventions and trade shows, and fantastic community events.
History
Established in 1970.
The Redding Civic Auditorium was built in 1970 and has been maintained by the City of Redding until January of 2012. It was built with a Brutalist Architecture Design, which was popular during that era. The Redding Civic Auditorium is in the heart of the city, next to the Sundial Bridge and the Redding Rodeo Grounds. Its concrete walls have never changed but the interior has had many updates. The latest updates include a new sound system, projection capabilities, internet and alarm systems. We now have large monitors in the lobby for customer viewing and enjoyment, and new non-theater seating chairs to be used during non-concert events.
