This is my favorite brew & burger establishment. The service is pretty friendly & my kids love the back room!
I love the blue burger & the apricot ale! Looking forward to their expanded menu!!!

We love Woody’s and how they are always changing up the specials! I usually order that, and I have never been let down! The beers are great and the staff are knowledgeable and seem to genuinely love their job. Cheers! On a side note, it would be great if they served wines from the Manton area wineries. Local and very nice wines!

Great beer, good food good service. This is a restaurant that will develop into a real gem in Redding. Not that it is bad, it will eventually refine itself and be a real hotspot! A must try are the tatter tots with one of the many toppings, they are all great. Go, eat, drink and enjoy yourself.
The only downside is there are very often unruly kids there. I just don’t believe kids should be in a brewery, pub or any other adult serving type of restaurant.

Bavarian hot pretzel good. Beer good. Service on a busy Thursday evening … Long waits in between visits from waiter, but friendly.

Love this place. We came here a couple years ago based off good reviews, and hunger. It is now our one and only Redding stop anytime we drive from SF to Eugene. We actually schedule a stop here. I love the updates they have made to the menu and the brewery. They have have put in sound dampening on the ceiling which is great. Lettuce wraps available on every burger/​sandwich, yes plz and thank you! They are brewing their own beers now and still have great wine and hard cider selections. I wish u guys were in Eugene, but alas at least we get to visit a few times a year.

Came here with the family after stopping at Fallriver brewing company (which had amazing beers and a great variety).
Service here was downright awful. From the first encounter, the waitress was short, rude and inattentive. We appeared to be an inconvenience by asking for simple items such as: napkins, water, silverware and the items we ordered.
The table next to us had a similar problem when asking for a straw. The poor girl at that table actually looked to us for confirmation that she wasn’t nuts for feeling she had been «given attitude» from the same server we had.
The beer was nothing special. I guess it was cold and had alcohol in it, but the taste was lacking and couldn’t bring myself to order a second.
There were a total of 6 – 7 tables occupied and 5 people up front working, yet it was near impossible to get anyone’s attention without us feeling like we were inconveniencing the servers. As another person has said, they need someone to manage this place more effectively and work on training their staff.
Wouldn’t return or recommend this place to anyone, unless of course they want tots and want to serve them to themselves. The tots were pretty good though…

Very good sampling of beer and the food was a pleasant suprise. If you order the home made tater toots make sure to ask for one of the toppings they offer. Their burgers on pretzel buns are very good as well.

Went to Woodies for the first time for lunch and beer before the Redding Rodeo. The Ambiance we nice enough, the customer service was top notch, the food was excellent, and the beer was proper. We tried the nut brown, Porter, and a citrus ipa. All excellent brews. I go to a lot of breweries on the west coast and all in all Woodies is top notch. Highly recommended.

Without question, the best burger in town! Reasonably priced, cool atmosphere, good beer. This is our go to place!

Shrimp Louie special today. So good, I wanted something lighter and this home made sweet pickle, citrus vinaigrette dressing on it was really good and creative. Sampled the new dry hopped pale ale which wasn’t on the menu, killer. I can definitely tell the difference with brewing on site now, more creativity, more variety and way good! The other special was basically a Reuben inside an egg roll. Corned beef, their house made sauerkraut and Swiss cheese in an egg roll w house made thousand island dipping sauce, friggin genius. Neil was my server, great job Neil. Love the food here, love the beer, the atmosphere, keep it up guys!

If this restaurant were in Sacramento we’d eat here all the time. Our waitress Karen was dynamite!!! We both had burgers & tots and the entire meal was amazing. They have the best tots we’ve ever had. Karen said someone comes in to make them from scratch. The burgers were juicy and at the gourmet level. They also have a good beer selection. It’s a really cool industrial pub vibe and everybody is down to earth. If you’re in Redding, this restaurant is a MUST. We’ll definitely eat here every time we’re in town. We’re crossing our fingers that they expand to Sacramento.

This place is only a couple of years old, but that’s time enough to do some upgrading of the menu.
The salad I had was, well, pretty ordinary: Greens, marionberry dressing (kind of sweet for this type of savory salad), tomato, cuke, artichoke hearts (big chunks, but no knife to cut them up with), feta, walnuts (which could have been special, but were just raw).
Spouse’s fish & chips came with house-​made tater tots. Kind of like deep-​fried mashed potato balls. A bit salty. And I love salty mashed potatoes; still these just missed.
If you go for the beer, but with reasonable expectations for food, you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome brewery, Kellie was amazing and kind, her knowledge of beer was outstanding, and her personality lit up the room! Beer was great! I got the flight and it was 6 beers from blonde to porter, they were great, also! Service was amazing and food was wonderful!

This place was not only incredibly noisy but the beer was not good. The food was good but overpriced and the service was awful. We went here with a group of friends and we all got separate checks, we found out the next day that everyone’s separate check had been charged to our card, however, they were all separate bills that everyone signed. Sooo there were three different checks but all had been mistakenly charged onto our card. One was obviously signed by us and the rest signed by people we were with. We went in the next day to point this out to the owner and rather than have him say he would refund the money he said «so basically your friends owe you money.» Needless to say we called our bank and they reversed the charges since WE had not signed the receipts approving the charges and we called those that we were with letting them know that they needed to return to pay their bill. The owner was very rude and did not apologize for the mistake or take responsibility at all. We have not returned since. This took place a year ago so hopefully things have changed but I have never had an experience like this anywhere else and being treated poorly by the owner for a mistake that was not ours was very unprofessional.
An addition in response to the comment below:
As I said in the review this happened one year ago, and although no one may recall it, I and the group I was with do because it was not handled well. I’m sure if you would like I could have those that I was with verify along with my bank. As I said above, I spoke to the owner himself who sat down with my husband and I to go through receipts from the prior night to find the ones with signatures on them that were not ours and rather than say no problem I will fix this he told us that «our friends owed us money.» I hope that this has not happened since our visit but this did indeed take place regardless of the owner «not remembering it.»

First time at Woody’s and loved everything. The service was great. Karen was super nice and made us feel like regulars. The burgers were awesome! We couldn’t eat all that we ordered. The tater tots were delicious and the smoked onion rings were sinful! Loved Loved Loved the Apricot wheat ale.
Atmosphere was very good. Lots of regulars and people looking for a great night out. Will definitely go back and try more of the appetizers. Thanks for giving us a great new place to enjoy a well deserved night out!

On our way to Seattle, we were looking for something to eat and a great brew in Redding. The Fairfield Hotel sent us here and oh, are we happy they did! He got the Porter… I tried the Amber — we both really like them!
We ordered the Smoked Onion Rings to start. Quite greasy, but hey, what do you expect? Great tasting!
Then came the salads and burgers. Salads had house-​made bleu cheese dressing… really good.
He ordered the Jalapeño Burger and I got the Mushroom Burger with veggie patty. He LOVED his burger, and mine was good enough… the bun was super tasty.
Overall — we will def stop here again when traveling down I-​5.

Woody’s is just what I’ve been looking for in Redding — fantastic pub food! The burgers are seriously the best Redding has to offer! My husband and I ordered the jalapeño burger and the smokehouse burger with fresh tots. The homemade pretzel bun is out of this world, and the patty was thick, juicy and flavorful; the burgers had fresh toppings and just the right amount of sauce. The homemade tots were light, crispy and seasoned well.
The aesthetic of the establishment reflected their brand clearly and was consistent. It was clean and up-​to-​date with quality furnishings… the feel of the place just felt good. The staff was also friendly and attentive.
I will definitely be going back in the near future to explore their other menu items — their beer, wings, specials, nachos, etc. Can’t wait!

So, it’s really 3.5, but I’m feeling generous (usually).
4 stars for the food.
The Woody’s Tots — just the tots, nothing fancy on them. Fantastic. Crispy. Fantastic. 5 stars.
The Smoked Wings with Buffalo Sauce. Decent. Not the best wings I’ve ever had, but I’ve had some amazing wings
Woody’s Pork Wings. Also REALLY good. Super tender and flavorful. And the candied bacon on top — wow. Only two so that’s kinda sad, but so tasty. 5 stars.
3 stars for the Beer, which is sad cause it’s a brewery.
We got samplers — which is a plus — I always appreciate when there is a sampler that has all of the Breweries main beers on it. We weren’t super impressed with any of them. They weren’t bad, but I didn’t feel inclined to buy any to take home. The Teacher’s Pet Amber was probably my favorite. The Apricot Wheat was kinda impressive I guess. It really did taste like apricot — so one of the more fruity fruit beers I’ve had — but I didn’t want to drink a whole one really.
Lots of space, which is always good.

We came here by the suggestion of a friend, Phil, who works behind the bar. He bragged that the food was phenomenal, and we live in the Bay Area, so we are pretty snooty about food being good. But we couldn’t resist a brewery that had all house made beers, so we came here to try it out.
The beers were delicious, the food was really phenomenal. We ordered the jalepeno burger and the spicy chicken burger (phil’s suggestion), they both came on a fresh pretzel bun, clutch! Homemade sauces, great service, atmosphere awesome. The tater tots are handmade and life changing, honestly.
Now our favorite place in Redding.

The nachos were huge and tasty. I really enjoy when restaurants aren’t afraid to make things spicy– Woody’s is that kind of place. Their habanero crudo was legit and the chicken on the nachos had a great flavor. They used a really nice, soft jack cheese on the nachos that didn’t melt totally, but it didn’t get weird and hard like some shredded cheese does.
The beers were good, but not mind-​blowing, but I’ll come back if I’m driving through Redding for sure. Their menu and setup are awesome and I always enjoy reading the story of how the brewery got its start.
