Mark is really nice and helpful! He knows what he is talking about and does good work! He is willing to help and they work on older vehicles.

I came to excel on an emergency basis car was having severe mechanical issues making it almost undrivable I called and was immediately told to come down within minutes of being there they checked my car and determined that it was probably a transmission issue something which they could not fix or deal with however they went beyond the call of duty to contact not only the Ford dealership but also two other transmission shops to get an idea of what I was looking at the ultimately referred me to a place that he often referred to and I could not be more thankful for their quick work and their kindness in helping me try to figure out the issue and what to do with my car. I cannot speak to the work that they do on the vehicle since I had none done on mine but if their kindness and professionalism are any indication of their workmanship then I would go back again for any other issues I have without a second thought.

I’ve been going to Excel for years. Always follow them when they move. Alas, Fernando has retired from working there, but he has left a great team of people like him, always ready to help. Even odd requests, like taking a look at a vintage, 1972 Datsun Truck that is running rough. They could have easily said, «We do not service older vehicles.» But, rather, «Bring it in and we will have a look at it.» So great to be one of their clients.

I hesitate to post a review only because I don’t want Marcos to get so busy that I can’t get in. He is the best, most honest mechanic you will ever find, and often goes beyond for his customers. I won’t go anywhere else unless he recommends it.

Excel Automotive lives up to its name. I had my daughter take her car there and I spoke with Mark who was very very helpful, professional and got answers for every question I had. He worked with me on prices and was very good on diagnosing the problems. He saved me money and I was shocked at the price for the amount of work done to the vehicle. He is very accommodating and shows outgoing concern and care for his customers. I’ve sent my mother there also and he treats seniors with the same professional and outgoing care and doesn’t gouge his customers. Very fortunate to have found him. He won’t STEER you wrong!

I had a problem with my battery. I called them that morning and they had me bring it right down, no appointment. They got to it right away & sure enough it needed to be replaced. They had it done earlier than they had projected. Plus they found & fixed a mystery noise I hadn’t even told them about but had planned on having them look at the next time I could let go of my car. I’m very happy with the service I received, Mark was very helpful.

Fernando is the best and most honest mechanic in town. Not easy to get in, but once you’re in, don’t leave.
