Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames

Unimpressed. Small store organized in an odd manner.
Very small selection of scrap booking and card making supplies and overpriced at that.
Stood in front of two employees gossiping for 45 – 60 seconds before they attempted to stop and address my question.
Skip this place and head to Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

I love Ben Franklin! They have everything you need for craft making, sewing, and needlework. And, the employees are super friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend this store for all your crafting/​sewing needs.

I’m a beader and really enjoy perusing the shop’s selections and I almost always find new fun beads, findings and tools here. The staff is comprised of very gifted artists. They often go to trunk shows in Arizona and bring back amazing treasures.

I am not a crafter in the least but I have to say I am unbelievably impressed with the Redmond Ben Franklin. They have just wonderful service (especially helpful when I need to help my son with his art projects and have no idea how to proceed). Their framing services are excellent and I recently had several projects completed there. They have absolutely everything you might need not only for big projects but also to entertain the kids on a rainy weekend, from stickers to art supplies to Seahawks-​inspired crafts.
Highly highly recommend!

Had what we were looking for. The employees were friendly and I was offered assistance by two different ones. The lady at the frame counter offered my son a balloon even though we were not in that section. He gladly accepted and she offered him a choice of color. They had a nice selection of things. Would definitely come back.

I love this place! It usually has more than Michael’s and the staff are always knowledgable and friendly! This place has been here since I was a kid and I will happily keep supporting this business. They have everything! Fabric and framing supplies. Check! Paint and dyes… Check! Whatever you’re thinking yes they have it. They used to have zen gardens here and I hope they bring them back!

The nicest and most knowledgeable staff in the industry. Terrific family owned business! This store has a lot of everything I need and no junk. They pick their inventory carefully and the quality is great. Even their fabric selection is amazing. Small-​ish selection but enough of everything I want to make lovely gear for my grandchildren. Prices are competitive. The framing department is absolutely the best anywhere. They really know what they are doing and deliver on time.

Love this craft store. Been going for almost 17 years and never tire of what’s in the store. There’s so much to choose from that making decisions is often hard. Their classes are great too and love spending time with my family doing projects and this store has it all! If you haven’t been here… go and find out what a treasure it is to have in Redmond.

I love this place! It’s not as large and overwhelming as some other craft stores but they have plenty of people to help you with whatever you are working on. They also always have a lot of project ideas with how to guides. The staff is always very eager and willing to help you find what you need or give ideas, which is wonderful for someone like me who needs it!
I have come here for home décor, party decorations and supplies, gift ideas, wedding supplies and sometimes just for fun.
The prices are right and it’s always my go-​to spot.

If it’s crafty, and you need it, Ben Franklin probably has it: departments for scrapbooking, stamping, beads, floral, framing, quilting, yarn, and on and on. The selections are generally quite good and well chosen, not simply the mass market brands. When I scrap booked, I loved Ben Franklin for the excellent quality papers and glues — you couldn’t go wrong.
The yarn department is less thrilling, though it has a decent array of basics (a wall of cascade 220) and all the tools you might need, but they allocate a lot of space to lower quality yarns and the department lacks the oomph of the local yarn shop. Points, though, for having the good old metal crochet hooks instead of the fancy wood hooks that don’t work as well.
There are lots of ideas on display and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I wish they would update the store one of these days: it feels old and could use some updating and expanding. The checkout lines in particular are poorly laid out — it’s a bit confusing where to line up, and not a lot of room when the store is busy. In spite of the shortcoming, it’s a better than average all-​purpose craft shop.

The only craft store in redmond so this is always our one stop shop for the kids school projects. While it is small, I’ve never left without finding what I needed. I gave it a lower score because their prices are considerably higher then that of the bigger name stores just a few miles away and there are no coupons available. Very few sales as well.

Best place for art project! Very friendly and helpful.
Two years in a row, I’be gotten so much help on school art auction project from them.

Poor return policy!
I bought a pair of Seahawks-​colored earrings. Super cute, but after wearing them for one hour one of them fell open and 2 out of 3 beads got lost. The clasp was defective. I tried to return them (they were $ 10.00 and I had the receipt). They refused to give me a refund. It probably cost them a dollar to make. I had spent over $ 40 on that visit and was prepared to purchase more goods on this visit. I’m VERY disappointed in Ben Franklin. I will take my business elsewhere.

On a recent trip to Barcelona I found a couple of great water paintings that I needed framed. The problem was we were going to be doing a housewarming about 10 days after I stopped in at Ben Franklin, and we really wanted to be able to show off these pieces.
I wish I could remember the name of the woman who assisted me in the framing department. She started with the stock frames first to see if there was a good match. We quickly agreed we needed a custom frame.
First sample she grabbed was the absolute perfect match.
And — they were ready in time for the housewarming. And they look absolutely amazing! I couldn’t be happier. Next time I need something framed I know exactly where I’m going.

They have a great selection of beads, yarn, decorations. What I love most about this store is that they have projects on display and cards on how to do them. I can wander around for hours in this store and get inspiration. The sales staff is very nice and very helpful. They don’t bug you as you walk around but as soon as you need something they are there to help!

Super friendly and knowledgable staff. The selection is great for different crafts. Their fabric department is small but you can probably find the basics there. It’s got lots of parking and they have a lot of season decorations as well as ideas for crafting your own.

These guys are the absolute best. Not necessarily the cheapest but the staff is so wonderful and their inventory is so great.
I adore their dye cut center and have made multiple awesome crafts using it. The staff back there have gotten me going and worked on ideas with me.

The girls peeked in to pick up some crochet projects, so much to choose from! Granddaughter Amber sez I should mention that there isn’t much in the way of quilting projects and supplies. In and out in 15 minutes. Life is good.

I’ve been to this location twice. In addition to every craft hobby tool and supply you could need, you can also take various arts and crafts classes. I signed up for a crochet class that will meet one night for three weeks.
The class registration of $ 56 included class instruction and a manual, plus a 10% off coupon for purchases at the store. A list of just three items (crochet hook and 2 skeins of different colored yarn) was required as a separate purchase, but those totaled to $ 10. The item list was handed out upon registration. The staff at the facility had great things to say about the instructor and helped me pick out the items I would need for the class. Who knew that there were so many things to learn about yarn and crochet hooks? No worries though, the staff here are very knowledgeable and will get you started without breaking the bank.
I’ve attended my first crochet class. The instructor arrived early, had all of the necessary supplies needed to teach the class, and was very knowledgeable, patient and proficient at teaching crochet techniques. In addition, she offered her contact details and provided information about ways for us to get help and practice outside of class. I was highly impressed and I will definitely return to this location for supplies and future classes.
By the way, free parking is available on the side lot.
