If you look just bottom left of «About this business» or sometimes it shows above this sections, instead – You’ll see that Yelp has filtered 18 of my students reviews. This is because they signed up to review me, and have not written other reviews. This makes the yelp! computer search critia think they’re not really into Yelp, and not really cranking out a lot of reviews, So, Yelp supresses them. But they’re 100% wonderful people who I teach every week. I’ll hope their experierea will match what you’re looking for in your drum mentor.

One fun thing I do, is convert Rock Band Gamer-drummers into real-life drummers.

Whatever music you want to learn, I’m in.

I judge my weekly success, not by how many hours you managed to practice, but by how much improvement you made from my direct coaching during your lesson. History

Established in 1978.

I started teaching when I was in high school and have undergone continuous and sometimes tumultuous transformation as a teacher ever since. My students continue to mold me, as do my currrent teachers. I have degrees in English and Clinical Psychology from Tufts, and have studied and continue to study music with some very inspiring people.

Additional influences sculpting my teaching style are the dance teachers at Premier Dance in Redmond, professional and college athletes who’ve taken an interest in what I’m doing, peak performance sports training, principles of physical therapy, neuro-muscular retraining, etc.

Some or all of these worlds come to bear when I’m looking for doorways into each student’s most productive system of learning. My students are like audiences. They want me to succeed. What inspires me is being open to finding, then providing compelling, functional training systems for them.

I have an extensive bio on www.nedzeppelin.com.

It does not mention that I’m continually updating my drumming. I practice new stuff at least an hour a day 6 days a week.

Most of my students come from Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, Sony, Microsoft, Adobe, Digipen. This particular population and I relate on a level other than drumming in that I’m starting a one-man software company to make a privacy app. I use my teaching income to pay software coders all around the world. Progress is CRAWLING right along!
