Milehouse Apartments

Milehouse in itself is a great apartment with good amenities. However, their customer service is horrible. I originally applied for one of their penthouses #601 through their online application after viewing it in person on January 24, 2016. I was informed via e-​mail on the 25^th that their online application was not available at the time, despite having filled it out online and submitted my payment online, and that I would have to submit a physical application. I was in California at the time and did not have the capability to do such a thing, therefore, I asked them to go ahead and cancel my application and to refund me the processing/​holding fee of $ 250 that was used to hold unit #601. I understand that the extra $ 88 for the two background checks are nonrefundable, and only asked for the holding fee since it clearly stated that if the application were to be denied/​canceled the holding fee would be refunded. They told me that it would be no problem and since that their online system was not working at the time the refund should be processed automatically. A week later I call asking for an update on the situation, and they told me that they would get on it ASAP. Some time goes by and nothing happens, therefore I send an e-​mail on the 9^th of February again asking for the refund. Again, they will get on it ASAP. Lastly, on the 22^nd I called and they said they would talk to corporate, and I asked them to send me an e-​mail with an update of the situation. No refund and no e-​mail. Terrible customer service, and appalling to think that their staff is improperly trained to handle a refund from their online system, as well as their lack of proper communication between their housing unit and their corporate headquarters, lastly why offer the option of submitting an application online if they are not capable of completing the entire process online. It should not take a month to process a simple refund.

Milehouse is a brand new, modern-​style, pet-​friendly apartment complex right in the center of downtown Redmond. It has all of the ingredients for high-​quality, active lifestyle. If you work near Redmond, I could hardly give a better recommendation than Milehouse.
I was one of the first tenants to move into the complex. It was a relatively simple move, as I was previously living in another apartment in downtown Redmond, a couple blocks away from Milehouse. While living in the other building, I kept an eye on the construction for Milehouse, and was intrigued to find out more when the pre-​leasing office opened.
The first thing I noticed was how great the Milehouse team is. Having lived in many different apartment complexes in several states, I’ve had my share of experiences with apartment staff ranging from inattentive to extremely friendly. Kanika and her team are the best I have come across. It is rare to find a team whose mission is clearly to put a smile on each of their tenants’ faces. There were some delay in the construction, which was out of their control, but they did a fantastic job keeping me updated on the progress and were very helpful and accommodating with the move. They also go through great lengths to personally get to know every one of their tenants — they are always open for dropping by and chatting. Tenants at Milehouse know that they are in good hands.
The building itself is up-​scale, sleek, and modern. It is now the iconic building in downtown Redmond with its bold colors and exterior design. The interiors are similarly well-​designed and filled with amenities, including lots of lounge areas, a conference room, movie theater, gym, wellness studio, hot tub, outdoor courtyard with bbq equipment, workshop space, and even a ski storage closet. A large garage under the building keeps your car out of the rain.
I am very fond of the layout of my one-​bedroom unit. It has a good distribution between the living room, bedroom, and bathroom, with no hallways for a very efficient use of space. The walls are painted a comfortable beige, with one wall in the living room boldly accented, in my case with a deep red, contrasting well with the dark hardwood floor. Appliances are (obviously) all-​new and high-​end. By far the most convenient aspect is that the washer and dryer are located in the bathroom right across from the bathtub — I don’t even need a laundry hamper to hold dirty clothes anymore! The balcony faces the south east, with gorgeous views of downtown Redmond and even Mt. Rainier in the distance. The sun shining into the bedroom in the morning is a wonderful way to start the day.
Milehouse is surrounded by all of the necessary businesses for a walking lifestyle. Countless restaurants ranging from Chinese food to a British pub. 2 (two!) QFC’s and a Trader Joe’s within two blocks. Pet stores and an animal hospital. A medical center next door, and urgent care only a couple blocks away. If you want to visit the city, the Redmond transit center is a block away, with buses on a direct route to downtown Seattle. The Sammamish River Trail is a great way to get your exercise in, away from the hustle bustle of traffic.
All in all, I feel happy when I wake up in the morning, and happy when I go to sleep at night. There’s not much more you can ask for from your apartment home.

Amazing experience, from our tour to our move in to every time we deal with anyone in the building. We had maintenance work done recently and the staff could not have been more accommodating to our schedule, our pet, etc. It’s a great place to live and even better knowing that everyone who works here truly cares! I’m a current resident and the customer service here is stellar. Angel is the reason I chose these apartments and completely recommend it. I cannot possibly disagree with Ari T. more. I love the team here and they’ll bend over backwards to help in any way they can.

So the leasing office was basically abandoned for our appointment to look at an apartment, which sucks because I loved the location. For the price you would think customer serice would be a priority but apparently not. After waiting 15 minutes in the cold because their leasing office is in the secure part of the building, we left.
Anyways, aviod this place because if this is how they treat people before they rent I can’t even imagine the horrors in store for those unlucky enough to rent there.

New high-​end residential property in downtown Redmond with the full suite of amenities; well appointed fitness center, yoga studio, covered courtyard with barbecue grills and outdoor fireplace, hot tub, fenced dog run, dog grooming room, bike storage and work area, ski storage, private theater, clubhouse area, coffee area with wireless.
The apartments have stainless steel appliances and full size front-​loader washers and dryers. The refrigerators even have ice makers. There are even USB-​ready charging stations in each home.
It’s a secure building; you can buzz your guests in to the lobby, but you’ll need your security fob to bring them up the elevators. This provides another level of security and privacy.
