Don’t go this dental office! It has ethical issue.
I went to this place for a routine teeth cleaning. First appointment they just do an x-​Ray which was repeated again and again nearly for every position and some burabura … Then told me I need a deep cleaning and refuse to do a normal cleaning for me. I know the story back is that my HMO plan doesn’t give them enough juice. I refused to pay hundreds of bucks from my pocket plus insurance money to do this deep cleaning and walked away. Days ago when I called to make teeth cleaning appointment for my kids they again started playing with me and finding all excuses to not give me a date.
As a health care service institute, this office care very little to its patients’ medical needs but the maximum money they can grab from the people visiting them and from their insurance. Shame on this place! DON’T GO !!!

Stay away from this guy. I’ve had healthy teeth all my life and only one cavity.
Once I started going here my original cavity «needed» to be replaced and the next visit I suddenly had three of what he called «pip» cavities. I let him do it but was suspicious and switched to another dentist.
My new dentist says my teeth are great and there is Mo such thing as a «pip» cavity.
So this guy was drilling my teeth and billing my insurance just to add to him bottom line. This is unethical.

I have been seeing Dr Bo since he was at his other location on Artesia in Redondo. I am surpised at the negative reviews because he has never been anything but fair to me and my son over the 15 years I have had him as our dentist. He removed all of my horrible metal filings and replaced with the beautiful white ones. He allowed me to bring my son there at a very early age after he was traumatized by a pediatric dentist office, and now my son would rather go to the dentist than get his hair cut and he is 15 yrs old.
We have never had dental insurance but he always helps us with payment plans etc. and even though I can find teeth cleaning at a much lower price elsewhere, Kathy is just so personable, thorough, professional and nice, we just continue having her clean our teeth.
I would highly recommend Dr Bo especially if you fear dentists because he is very gentle and takes his time.

I got a new job moving from OC to LA area and needed a new dentist. I am still within the 90 days no dental insurance coverage because of the new job. My colleague Katie told me about Dr. Bo and said call up the office and schedule a consultation. Dr. Bo looked at my situation and told me I need an endodontist. The consultation and xray was free because it was a referral. He was friendly, attentive and listening to my needs and gave me advice to what I should do. I’ll definitely come back as he is now my new family dentist.

took my son here the other day and he told his dad his visit to the dentist was AWESOME! his exact words! i always have fun when I go see Dr. Bo and now my son does too! everybody has been so sweet to us here and I have two beautiful new crowns! thanks Dr Bo!

My sister, who lives in Redondo Beach (I live in Burbank, work in Torrance), always struggled with her teeth and would even cover her mouth when laughing. One day I noticed she is smiling with confidence and her teeth and gums were amazing. So she told me about Dr. Bo and Kathy. It took me months to decide and switch from my regular dentist (whose office is just half a mile from my home) to Dr. Bo.
He found and fixed several problems I thought were impossible to fix (my old dentist tried to fix, which cost me a lot of money too). I was amazed, such a talent.
Kathy, the awesome hygienist got my gums healthy back again, and is doing everything possible to keep it that way … which involves some work on my part too :-)
Getting X-​rays done was not so bad, I tried to cooperate best I could, not move and stop breathing for a few seconds during exposure. Only my troubled teeth needed pictures taken from a few more angles for Dr. Bo’s «troubleshooting» purpose.
So, my wife now (who works in Glendale, lives in Burbank) switched over to Dr. Bo after her crown broke, and our previous dentist put temporary fix very poorly but charged us sooo much. Almost as much one would pay for a new crown.
Dr. Bo fixed it correctly. Even his temporary fix was so good that it took my wife forever to go get her permanent crown.
So highly recommend Dr. Bo and his team, it is worth every dime!

Dr. Bo and his staff our great. I had a lot of anxiety when first coming here after years of not going to the dentist. I’m glad I did. They are always friendly and I love chatting with Dr. Bo. I saw him on a flight at LAX once and he was exactly the same: friendly, joking, and caring. Yes, my treatment plan had a lot on it and I was intimidated at first but they worked with my insurance to time it so as to minimize out-​of-​pocket expenses. I went to this place to make my mouth the best I could. I’d say if you are looking for a place that will just do a filling, you should look for a bargain place a little more inland. If you want premium service and peace of mind, then you won’t regret it going here! Remember, you don’t have to do everything so just let Br. Bo know what your concerns are– I’ve never known him to be unreasonable.
It’s worth mentioning Kathy and Alexis are great too! Kathy is so quick and efficient with the cleanings.

Dr Bo is AWESOME! My family (myself, hubby and 21 y. o daughter) have been happy, satisfied, devoted patients and fans of Dr. Bo and his entire staff for more than 10 years. We have had full services performed there ranging from cleanings, fillings, crowns, veneers and even an implant. His work is impeccable and he is extremely gentle and really cares about his patient’s comfort and ease. The office is state of the art and features digital X-​rays, ultrasonic cleaning techniques, the latest and greatest equipment and is spotless! I have even had fillings done that didn’t require Novocaine! His staff is efficient, well-​trained and really, really nice. They do everything that they can to make sure you understand exactly what is needed and never, ever have done anything that wasn’t necessary. Appointments times are very flexible and they stay open late. Dr. Bo is easily reached after hours if there is an emergency that can’t wait! We recommend him to all of our friends and anybody else who will listen to us rave about dental care. We love you Dr. Bo and your entire team!!!

After checking out Unilocal for different dentists, I chose to go to Dr. Bo. I read all the reviews about «unnecessary dental work» and chose to go to Dr. Bo because of the wonderful reviews regarding the work that he does.
I suffer from severe anxiety in my regular life and due to several traumatizing dental experiences, I waited about 10 years to return to the dentist. The first thing I loved about Dr. Bo’s office is that his assitants have an office cell phone – so you can text your appointments! This was by far the most amazing thing to me. The women at the front were kind, personable, and were able to work out payment plans for me for whatever my insurance didn’t cover.
Upon declaring my dental terror, Dr. Bo offered me these amazing noise cancelling headphones he has that help drown out the sound of the drill. His dental chair had this back massaging thing, and one of the chairs has a television. All of this was fine enough to make me like the place, but not enough to make me comfortable being there – until I met Dr. Bo!
Dr. Bo has an incredibly calming personality. He makes jokes, always seems happy, and seems to genuinely enjoy his job. Aside from the amazing work he did on my teeth, he also noticed that a cavity I had filled as a child was covered up by another dentist I had as a teen, rather than being removed. Needless to say, he showed it to me on a camera and took care of it.
I’m surprised to read the reviews regarding upselling and whatnot with Dr. Bo’s office, because that is FAR from the experience that I had. In fact, I was so scared my first time that he didn’t charge me for the laughing gas. After surviving the first visit and ACTUALLY NOT FEELNG ANYTHING, I was willing to return. Wonderful place. I highly recommend. =)

Love, Love Dr Bo he’s the best gentle and caring the staff is amazing. This is a very nice upscale place and they really aim to please… They will work with you on payments they have great financing and offer discount on cash patients. They helped me considering i was on a budget they went the extra mile to make sure i was happy with both the work and price… Keep up the good work.

I started going to Dr Bo over 7 years ago when I lived in Redondo Beach and am still a loyal patient even though i have moved to Sherman Oaks. Not only is the office spotless and very modern and innovative, the staff is amazing and Dr Bo is the best. Ive seen a lot of dentists in my day (im anal about my teeth) and Dr Bo is by far the cream of the crop. For example, today i had to get a crown and they provided me a cozy down blanket and music to listen to during the procedure. My jaw got tired and a little sore and i got a little jaw massage in the middle of my procedure. Does your dentist do this? probably not! The dental hygienist is gentle and very thorough as well.

I have been going to Dr. Bo for several years and have been completely satisfied with his services! His office is super clean, his staff is really highly trained and professional. He takes his time with me because he knows I’m a Chicken at the dentist office. I have referred several family members and a bunch of friends and business associates. Every one I refer to Dr. Bo has come back to me and said «Thank you for referring me to Dr. Bo. He is really professional and I really like the service». I personally don’t mess around with second rate dentists, because my smile is too important to me. My plan is to keep the teeth I was born with for my entire life and with the help of Dr. Bo, that is exactly what will happen. Oh, and I wanted to mention that his oral hygienist is the best teeth cleaning I have ever had. She is OUTSTANDING!

Stay away unless you like having UNNECESSARY dental work done.
I walked out with a treatment plan that would take your breath away (no pun intended) over $ 6000 out of pocket AFTER insurance; and Im not the type of person that lets several years go by between dental visits.
The dentist also inisisted that I have some of the work done at the same time. Got a 2^nd opinion and my out of pocket came to $ 1000 w/​insurance. Maybe they should spend more time being honest, then they wouldn’t have to recoup the money they spend on Full Page Advertisments.
They ask for bank account numbers on the forms you sign; they also require you to sign a form that indicates they will send you to collections if you don’t pay on time. I completely understand that payment is due at time of services; but it was a bit intimidating.
I do realise for a full mouth of x-​rays approx 18 images are required. Dental x-​rays are low dosage;however at least 10 of them needed to be REPEATED !!! The person taking the x-​ray obviously did not appreciate the hazards of repeatedly exposing someone to unnecessary radiation.
Ever heard of measuring twice and cutting once? They also took my vital signs even though I was there for a cleaning/​exam very strange. It would have made sense if I was having surgery done. I would avoid if unless you have the desire to be separated from your money have unnecessary dental work done and be exposed to extra radiation.

I have no idea what other are talking about.
I have been going to Dr. Bo for over 10 years, and am SUPER satisfied.
The staff is great, I was never offered something that I didn’t needed.
Couple of years ago I lost the insurance, and Dr. Bo’s office worked with me.
He is the best and his staff is just great!

I have to agree with the others, first off getting X-​rays done was a hellish experience, they pic were not coming out right and the tech kept trying to do them over and over
Also It was recommend that I need thousands of dollars worth of work done, and the two fillings that I had redone I am not happy with, happy to have the silver out but the white does not match my teeth.
I could go on with the other things that that happened such as billing issues, waiting in the dentist chair forever, etc. but suffice to say I won’t go back nor would I recommend this office to anyone else

We totally got ripped off by this dentist. Don’t go to him. He will try to get you to do all this work on your teeth that doesn’t need to be done. He told my husband he needed to have deep cleaning on his gums that would have cost $ 2000 total. My husband had one set cleaned for $ 1000. I was suspiscious so we went to another dentist (recommended by my co-​worker) who said my husband’s gums were fine. The other dentist also told me my teeth were find and I didn’t need to do any of the work that Dr. Bo had recommended. I definitely believed the other dentist since I have always had pretty good teeth based on all the other dentists that I have gone to in my life.

It’s very refreshing to a have dentist that not only has an excellent chairside manner, but comes from a family of dentists and he has a superb understanding of how to improve and maintain a patients smile!

One of those dentists who upsells and does work that keeps you coming back week after week. If you enjoy spending hours in the chair over and over again, and writing bigger checks every time because the dental insurance has maxed out, (they don’t keep you abreast of the remaining insurance) then go for it!
