My last experience at Jimmy’s Bar and Grill was deplorable! The food is always pretty good, but on this night the food was over cooked and our order was wrong. Hey, I am no complainer, if the food is only so so… Jimmy’s Bar and Grill isn’t pricey, you won’t see a complaint out of me just because the chef was having an off night. My issue is with the distasteful service. Aside from the fact that there were very small children running around the restaurant and in the kitchen where food was being cooked, the waitresses went out of their way not to give me and my date direct eye contact. The managers concentrated their attention on one somewhat large party no more than 4ft from us. But never, ever walked over and asked us how our meal was, even though he seemed to do so at the other tables. There was a distinct feeling that we were unimportant, and that we better be happy we are being served at all. When we finally alerted the other tables waitress that our order was incorrect and that our service was incredibly slow, she rolled her eyes and notified the girl who was supposed to wait on us, Erin. Erin never came over to apologize, explain herself, and try to make things right, she simply placed the check on the table and walked away. BTW the check was wrong and no one ever came to us to try to correct it, because guess what… Erin never came back to collect our check. My date and I finally took the paid tab to the manager, expressed our discontent, and he made ZERO attempts to rectify the situation. I am used to managers who at least attempt to make things right with their customers, he didnt credit our bill… he didnt offer a free drink voucher, I don’t even remember hearing an apology. Trust me I wasn’t looking for anything free, but an apology would have been nice! I have never wanted to get the hell out of a place so fast or felt so cheated… even if the meal was cheap. I won’t ever EVER frequent this establishment again, and that is sad because it was me and my boyfriends favorite go to spot.

This is our go-to neighborhood family spot. Easy parking, great food and friendly servers. They are always happy to see us and when several families dine together they happily split the checks. The Jimmy’s Loaded Burger, Chicken Club, and Bread Pudding are our faves. Chef Marc often hosts special events like Beer Pairing Dinners.

Service was great. Downhill from there. Beware their craft beers are not priced and for good reason — the Japanese hef was $ 9.25OUCH! not knowing this caused me to assume and asking for a list of craft beers before I ordered was the most frustrating part since I would have skipped a $ 9.25 beer!!! Print your beer list and provide pricing so patrons feel in control of their bill.

I enjoyed this place very much. Food was good, from the chili, to the artichoke dip, to the calamari taco, nice menu. Definitely will go back.

Service is good, beers are local, and the bar area is not too big, can still give an intimate feel with about six big screens surrounding you. Food wasn’t bad, but not great either. Interesting spot with a kinda small parking lot, but the two times I’ve been, parking’s been ok.

The Tri tip poutine is the best thing I ever ate! The fries are great and the cheese curds are like heaven in your mouth. The gravy is so flavorful and the Tri tip is tender cooked to perfection. However that’s what my husband had lol… I got the kale quinoa salad which is honestly one of the best salads I’ve had in my life. The tomato vin egret is what really makes the salad. And the salty feta is such a great flavor booster. I can’t wait to come back when I’m not on a diet and just pig out on all the dishes making my mouth water as I read the menu. As for the atmosphere… On game day it’s awesome everyone’s cheering and clapping my two year old found it very enjoyable as he loves football just for the Ohhhhhhs and ahhhhhhhs. I’m sure the hubby and I will be back with out the babe for a fun chill date night.

The waiters/bartenders here are super nice and very interactive and considerate in making sure you’re having a good time. The atmosphere was nice, very open with a large open bar. Their food are also very good. Definitely would recommend their Filet Mignon Poutine(steak, fries, cheese, and gravy). It’s salty and very filling. One plate could feed two to three people(or one very hungry person).

I’ve been to Canada and had the real deal when it comes to poutine. Now here at Jimmy’s, I was blown away by their Filet Poutine. It consists of braised filet mignon tips as well as mozzarella cheese curds. It was absolutely delicious and on par. Some of the best poutine I’ve ever had.

Nice sports bar feel. Games going on, on multiple TVs. Extensive menu with appetizers, entrees, salads and desserts. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and loved it. The fries were just the way I liked them and the pastrami was moist not dry. For dessert I had the bread pudding!!! That was the best part of the meal! Going back again because there are a lot more things on their menu that I would like to try.

Many thanks for the warm welcome from owners Michael and Susie. They have created a craftsman feel to the bar area and it is very large. I have only recently became a fan of craft beers on tap from local breweries and had a very fine IPA from Torrance of all places! The pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. The menu is diverse and has a Jimmy theme, hence the bar’s name, not the owner. High recommend for their everyday(!!) Happy Hour specials from 3 –7PM. I came on an off day with few customers so look forward to perhaps a game day, special function as I enjoy meeting new and interesting people.

My boyfriend and I been here a few times and always find ourselves coming back! The food it’s really good and they have beers from local breweries. Another plus, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Also this place has a great atmosphere, there’s multiple tvs, which makes its a lot of fun for any sporting event! Definitely recommend! And would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Happy Hour Every day 3−7…YIPPY! Stopped by for lunch. YUMMYBYO Burger so good. Environment was super chill. Sat myself in the bar area and went for it. Waitress was cool. Televisions throughout the location, family friendly. There are standard tables toward the back, if you dont feel like sitting in the bar. It appeared to be a busy spot, people kept falling through. I can totally see myself returning.

In Torrence again for work and needed some food in my belly, Jimmy’s looked expensive from the outside but, my go to spot was packed so I thought why not. Very clean up-scale place, patrons went from casual to business attire. The head chef roamed the floor and stopped to talk to many tables and knew them on a personal level. I had the Calamari taco appetizer and a Golden Monkey(I believe) craft beer. The tacos were good despite the what seemed to be raw(it was ready to eat just not heated up) corn tortilla, I didn’t care for the mango salsa/mixture topping but scarfed it down due to my hunger and enjoying the scenery. Now to the $ 8 tulip craft beer, wholly molly pump the brakes, I sipped on this deliciously crafted triple Belgium and enjoyed every moment. Take a backseat Bluemoon, you were never my favorite nor will you ever be now. My server was Amanda and she was great, very attentive and she made sure I was taken cared of at all times. I’ll definitely be back to taste the other 10 out of 11 craft beer’s offered on my next trip as well as try a different appetizer and shoot out another review. Till next time!

We’ve been there a few times since moving to the area. Our first time was great, it was early Sunday. The following times after have been terrible and just plain odd. One time, our waitress kept asking us what we wanted to eat, but after every single thing we chose, she continued to say over and over again, «we don’t have chicken wings, we don’t have fries, we don’t have burgers, we don’t have beef, we don’t have -» you get the point. So we asked her, a couple of times, «ok, what DO you have?» «I don’t know, you tell me». Um… ok. We decided to give it another chance last night. The server/bartender was super nice at the beginning, and brought us our beer order right away. Suddenly, his friends show up, and they wanted to sit at the bar, though there were plenty of tables in the restaurant area. He grabbed a small table and placed it next to ours for them — which was awkward, but I guess it’s what they wanted? Then he decided to ignore us, literally going to every table around us multiple times and not even looking at us, or even just bring us a check. We threw some cash on the table and left. That was incredibly rude and unwarranted treatment. If they needed the table for their friends, they could have told us, or simply put a RESERVED sign on a table if you’re expecting someone like a normal person. Needless to say, that’s the last time we’ll be trying this place, which sucks since it’s so close to our place.

We visited Jimmy’s a whole back and didn’t have a good experience. However, we decided to give them another shot. Thank you Mike and all the staff at Jimmy’s for taking care of us the night we went back! Completely different experience from the first! Food was good and so were the drinks! Mike and his staff kept coming around and seeing if there was anything else we needed. Can’t say enough about the service that was provided! We will be going there much more often now!

Went to Jimmy’s for happy hour with coworkers. I didn’t know what to expect because I’d never been there and I didn’t choose the place where we would go. It was very crowded, due to a special event. Service was a little slow, but I understand that they were a lot busier than expected and the servers were very nice. However, the drinks and the food were only ok. I would say it’s more of a family restaurant than a bar. If I were in the Redonde Beach area, I would go back for a meal with my kids. But it definitely isn’t a happening happy hour spot or a young hang out type of bar.

I’ve been here several times for a fundraiser, Sunday lunches since it’s steps away from my church and on a weeknight dinners with coworkers. This place has been different types of venues but so far, I like this sports bar the most. The separate dining area can accommodate familes with kids. I’ve been here on weeknights and weekends and the crowd varies. Despite the darkened windows, it always appears to be closed but don’t be fooled. It’s open literally all the time! There’s parking underground, in the lot and in the street. The bar is nice and gets full on certain game nights. The place is very tastefully decorated, more than what you’d expect from a sports bar. The food is high quality and reasonably priced and delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is friendly. Sometimes with a large crowd, the service may seem short handed. For Dodger fans, there is Time Warner cable. Sports fans, this place has a happy hour DAILY. I met the owner who is totally cool and of course, I love to support family owned businesses in the SouthBay. Anyway, the location is on the southeast corner of 190th which makes it tricky if you are arriving eastbound. So hang a left on Inglewood and make a quick right into the parking lot. This used to be an office building which appears to make it logistically a little more challenging sometimes. My next visit will be an actual happy hour which is from 3 – 7 daily.

A great happy hour bar and grill family friendly sports bar Food: we had smoked salmon and fries. They are both good. By the way. Their fries are humongous for 4 bucks!!! Parking: this place is lasted in a small business building. Interior: I think The business try tot make it cool side but somehow landed in a family restaurant zone. To prove my point, you see a lots of family with kids I don’t think you can use it for dates but for family dinner with kids. A great chose for good price. Service: our waiter was great. He was friendly and service was great too. TFI: this place has a lot of TVs. TIPS: they have happy hour everyday till 7pm.

The last time I went, there was a sewers problem that was dripping down to the parking downstairs. I was a tad concerned and we sat to order but shortly after, the chef came out to personally apologize that they have to close due to the sewers problem. I’M SOGRATEFUL! Instead of staying open, they immediately addressed sanitary issues and that was an A+ in my book. Next time I came, the bar was full so we sat in the dining area booth. -$ 6 margaritas all the time :) –great beers on tap –Filet Mignon Poutine– delicious… however it was shreded beef and was a bit dry. Still worth the bite! –Calamari– not incredibly breaded, outstanding cocktail sauce, and perfectly crispy –now…Fish and Chips– standard but what stoody out was the tartar sauce. If it was homemade, it is incredible… However.our waiteress asked us to choose a side salad that came with the entrée and the salad never came. When I asked another waitress about it, she claimed that it does not come with a salad. Our other waitress had been MIA after delivering the food and we had to catch everybody else that walked by. Also there was an obnoxious loud party smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. I understand it’s a bar and grill but holy crap, we were looking at all the other booths all confirming they just did not enjoy their dining experience. Only thing that compensated for the service and atmosphere was the chef who came out to check on everybody’s meal. So maybe it was just a bad night to go but there’s my two cents.
