Lance Chu – State Farm Insurance Agent

Worst experience with insurance agents ever… The coverage is good but their customer service was not very good. I called them/​email them so many times so that they explain to me why I would have to pay different amounts of money for my coverage every month and they never got back to me. I also bought a business insurance; let’s say that they never covered my business because I was lacking an alarm system. I paid two months; later they sent me a letter saying they couldn’t cover because of this alarm problem. Turns out, I never got my money back. Also, if you talk to other people that are not Griselda or Lance they tell you that they can’t give you any information because they don’t know what’s going on!!! What kind of service is that. Worst experience ever! I don’t know why I had my insurance coverage so long with them.

Easily the best insurance experience I’ve ever had. Called to set up auto insurance by phone, and the amazing Griselda helped me out. She was superbly nice, very knowledgeable, and overall a total delight to work with. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Lance has been great in explaining what retirement options I have and my family has. My mother is planning to retire in a few years with a pension that may not be enough to cover her life style but Lance has shown us some options we can implement today to get the coverage we need. I personally use Lance to setup a HSA account for me and I am very happy and would recommend him to anyone.

I was buying a car a few weeks ago and I was in a tight spot because I was starting a job on Monday and I needed to buy a car the weekend before. Thankfully, Lance’s office was open on Saturday, unlike many other agents. Griselda helped me directly over the phone to setup auto insurance for me and she did an excellent job. She was very patient and kind while helping me, despite our call getting dropped one time and the fact that she was trying to help other customers at the same time (she was the only one in the office that day). She even faxed my proof of insurance over to the dealership so I could drive the car off the lot the same day. If you want a customer-​centric experience, I would recommend Lance Chu’s office.

Lance and his team are awesome! They are friendly and take care of any questions I have– big or small. State Farm is a great insurance company to be with, but Lance and his team make it over the top in greatness.

When it comes to insurance, I’m not very savvy. In fact, I just want to make sure everything is taken care of and be worry-​free. Lance provides the peace-​of-​mind that allows me to focus on the things that really demand my attention. When I do need an explanation he breaks things down for me and takes the time to make sure I understand. He’s great at filling in the gaps in a way that makes sense, and it’s clear that he cares about his customers because he has directed me elsewhere when it was in my best interest (not his though). He’s the only insurance agent that I’ve actually gotten to know and trust.
I no longer live in the bay, but I can still count on him to provide me with the same great service he’s provided me all along. Usually a call is all it takes for him to spring into action.

Lance is an expert in his field. He looks out for your best interest and does not pressure you to join State Farm if it is not the right fit for you. After 6 months of continued discussions, there came an opportunity for us to make a switch. Lance was top of mind and his rates were comparable if not better. I love saving money. Lance Chu is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience.
Before he became an agent he would always help me out with any questions I needed answered. Through those years he was my personal agent. Till this day I have never spoke to my own agent and ever since Lance left I don’t get the same service or knowledge from the other or my current agent. Lance Chu is an agent you can trust.
