Specialties
I specialize in bringing yoga to people who didn’t think they could do yoga; people who have tried other yoga classes but found it too confusing, the pace too fast, the poses too challenging. I believe that the greatest benefits are achieved when a person learns how to customize the practice to suit their own body, mind, and spirit. I teach Integral Yoga with influences from Jivamukti, Kripalu, Dharma Mittra, Anusara, and other schools. My main classes are Restorative Yoga (the yoga of deep relaxation and stress relief), Beginners Yoga, Yoga Basics, All-Levels, LSD (Long Slow Deep) Yoga, and mantra and meditation.
History
Established in 2012.
I have been practicing yoga since 2002, and was certified and began teaching in Charleston, South Carolina. Since moving to the Bay Area, I have taught public group classes at the former Be Yoga studio in Redwood City, Menlo Pilates & Yoga, and Yoga of Los Altos. I also teach private classes for individuals and groups on request, and offer occasional workshops on the Bay Area Peninsula.

Business Owner
Stephanie believes that yoga should be fun, even while challenging! She encourages students to find their own personal edge — that place just outside the comfort zone — and practice there. When she’s not in a yoga studio somewhere, Stephanie can usually be found performing on one of the Bay Area’s many theatrical stages, or working on a marketing project somewhere.
