Master Kim came to do a full class demonstration at our school. He was insightful, patient, and attentive to the skill level of every student in the class, which was about 190 students over the course of the day. I was so impressed by his professionalism, his ability to involve every student at their ability level, and to quickly assess student’s behavior, discipline,
and readiness for martial arts. Overall, a wonderful educator and martial arts coach. I highly recommend Master Kim.

My son joined this studio in Redwood City right after it opened (we recently moved back to the Bay area from Texas), and it has been an amazing experience. Master Kim is a great teacher, and Brandon is always eager to go to his next lesson. Brandon has already learned great discipline and form. I am a 30 year old man and I can sincerely say that spending time with Master Kim is inspiring. Master Kim, founder of Tiger Taekwondo, is extremely genuine and focused in his work. He is a kind, sincere and patient instructor. Mr. Kim has taught Taekwondo in 4 countries around the world (the USA, Canada, Israel and Korea) and has a strong understanding of the art. He radiates authenticity in his teachings as he was born and raised practicing in Korea. He is dedicated and passionate and both are very apparent in his character. For all of these reasons you will find he stands out when compared to other martial arts instructors in this industry.

My son has been training with Master Kim for 2.5 years now. He has not only become more focused, but he is proud of himself when he completes his forms. He has an added confidence in him, since he has been working with Master Kim. I, as a parent (and one who is around bunches of kids all the time), is in awe at how Master Kim can demand the attention of all the children in his class, but in such a kind and peaceful approach. This is a talent that only people who were born to teach have. We feel very fortunate to be training with Tiger Taekwondo and Master Kim.

My daughter loves her lessons and I love what she’s learning! Not only is she getting stronger with great physical skills, but Master Kim helps the kids see just how important focus, discipline, and practice are… while always keeping it fun. I like to come to pick her up a few minutes early so I can see how he combines this work and play – effortlessly! She is such a «happy tired» after class. It’s her only after-​school activity that she truly looks forward to. I have never had to cajole her into going to class here! I appreciate that all the kids get the careful and thoughtful attention of Master Kim himself. She knows she’s learning from a true expert, who combines attention to detail & skills with stories and cultural background in a way that brings the art alive and keeps them motivated to improve! The new studio is conveniently located for shopping at Target and Marshalls during the kids’ lesson :) win win for all!
