Description

Specialties

Inspired by Head Chef Sato’s French roots and love of Japanese food, SATO Japanese Cuisine specializes in a thoughtful and artistic fusion of Japanese & French cuisine. Fresh ingredients and specialty in-season fish are imported from all over the world, from Alaska to Japan, to prepare our sushi and Japanese-French dishes.

Head Chef Sato’s Edible Art Collection is offered as a full-course ‘Omakase’ showcasing his aesthetic and culinary vision as an artist and chef. A Japanese phrase meaning, «I’ll leave it to you», Sato’s ‘Omakase’ is personally prepared from the choice of ingredients to the final touches of the plating and is guaranteed to be unique every single time.

History

Established in 2000.

Inspired by his French roots and love of Japanese cuisine, Sato opened his restaurant in 2000 to share his vision. The food offered at SATO Japanese Cuisine is an artistic and thoughtful fusion of Japanese and French cuisine and a showcase of Head Chef Sato’s unique style: Edible Art. Delicate preparation and personal detailing go into each and every one of Sato’s creations. Now located in the heart of Rego Park, Sato hopes to satisfy his customers from the plating of each dish until their very last bite.
