Irish Eyes Pub and Restaurant

This location is closed and is now a Green Turtle, however there are two other Irish Eyes locations, Milton and Lewes are still open and a good place to go.

Very good specials at this restaurant. Hamburgers were delilah. Steak sandwiches are Hugh and delicious. Prices are reasonable for the selections.

Don’t bother with this place. Tuesday night bartender (7÷1÷13) was inexperienced and rude. Dishes remained on dirty bar from previous guest. after a five minutes, I moved away from them to the other side of the bar. I was ignored there. When i asked why, i was told i essentually was «out of sequence» to be served. After 15 minutes, I asked why newer customers were being served before me. I was told I shouldn’t have moved. When I said that wasn’t a good system, I was called «ignorant and rude». Manager heard me out, but didn’t seem to care. I left. Seriously, don’t bother. Go to Purple Parrot down the street.

1 star because it can’t get lower. Ordered the drink of the day tasted like tang. The beer wasn’t bad. Ordered oysters and fish and chips. Took at least 30mins for food to arrive they were not busy. Oysters arrive on ice but they were not cold must have been sitting out hope I don’t get sick. Fish and chips the fries were good but the fish had no taste and was deep fried to long. It had a very hard crust. I should have left after I tasted the drink. Don’t waste your time or your money their are plenty of other places to eat.

Serivice was ok until they brought the check. They tried to bait and switch my drink for one several dollars more expensive. They gave me a hard time when I called them on it. They ended up fixing it in the end but made a huge scene. Will not ever be going back.

I can’t believe I never wrote a review for this place. So my review is regretably 3 years late. I can only hope that the food hasn’t changed. I liked their food so much I joined their mailing list; it was VERY tasty! Mom and I got 2 dishes to split– Bangers and Mash and the Beef and Guinness Stew. They were both GREAT. We had awesome service as well. I’m not sure what the reason is for the bad reviews because this was a very memorable meal for me. Yum yum!

This was a pretty cool place. We were there for St Patricks day. Food is pretty good. The music is always entertaining. When in town it is a nice place to stop in and relax.

NEVER go here! Local drunks fight club! A very messed up guy, with an obvious issue with the bartender, threw a bar stool into a table and slammed into the glass door. He returned 3 times, each time getting worse. When I asked for the check to get out of the drama and asked if the cops were called, we were treated like WE were the ones who did something wrong n got harassed. Mgt did NOTHING! No I’m sorry, no anything. Do yourself a favor… SKIP this place on your next Rhehoboth vaca!

This place is the perfect place to have a beer and a bite to eat while at the beach. The food was great.

My wife and I decided on eating here before the 4^th of July fireworks on the beach. I actually enjoyed my overall experience with Irish Eyes. I only had two really major issues. One, the hostess definitely cost one of the servers a table by not seating us in an almost empty restaurant. We were shocked that with at least 10 – 12 empty tables that we had to wait to be seated! Very weird start, but we decided to set at the bar because I was ready to eat my hand off I was so hungry. The bartender, Amanda, gave us great service and attention and even made a delicious drink for my wife called a Red, White, and Blue I think. We ordered an appetizer, the quesadillas with crab meat which was very tasty. For entrees we decided on a salad with bleu cheese crumbles and walnuts as well as a NY strip with crab imperial. And this is where my 2^nd issue came into play, my wife commented to me that the mashed potatoes and crab imperial were very salty. I did not say anything until she did, but I almost immediately noticed it also. The chef needs restraint with the salt seasoning. But other then that the meal was really good. We asked for the check from Amanda and when we got it, the total was around $ 63. I was not overly shocked, but to others who don’t work in the restaurant business this might be considered very expensive. I really felt that 3 out of 5 stars were warranted, bottom line this place was good, but they still have some things to work on to get a better rating! Congrats to Amanda for making our visit worthwhile!

Pricey bar food. Substituted a side and was up charged twice the difference based on the actual item prices. Come on.

One of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived around noon on Columbus Day. OK, it’s after the season and it may have been a little busier than expected because we were still having near 90 degree weather, but there were only 4 – 5 tables and a couple of people at the bar. There were two waitresses and a bartender. There was no delay getting our drinks, but our food… After a while we overheard a nearby table complain it had been 45 minutes since they ordered their burgers. We knew we were in trouble because those people got there before us. At about the 40 minute point, clearly sensing the natives were restless, the waitress came over and said she was coming out with our food next. A minute later she came back out and refilled another table’s iced tea. It’s bad enough to have slow service, but there is no reason to make promises you can’t keep. It just got me more annoyed. Another 10 minutes went by and we just left. I left some money on the table for the drinks and we went to Subway. The rest of the day was great.
