History
Established in 2003.
We have been in business here in the Reno/Sparks area since 2003. We started out with a mobile window covering business. We opened our Hunter Douglas Gallery in 2013, Accent Window Coverings which is adjacent to Accent Lighting & Home Interiors. Over the years, we have been asked countless times to assist our clients with their home decorating projects. We have helped clients select paint colors, shop for furniture, select the perfect lighting and find the perfect area rug for their space. We had the opportunity this year to acquire an additional space located right next door. We opened the wall and have created a unique shopping experience for our clients. Now our clients can come to us for their entire home interior project!
Meet the Business Owner
Michelle W.
Business Owner
I have been in the window covering/home décor industry since I was a kid, literally. My father owned a successful lighting and home décor business in the late 70’s through his retirement in the mid 90’s. I grew up spending afternoons and weekends at either his store or my moms store. Once I was old enough, I would open the store myself on the weekends and work with my parents clients. After college, I went to work as a territory sales rep for several top gift and home décor manufacturers. I did this from about 1992 through the late 90’s. I was then hired as a national sales manager for a gift and home accessories manufacturer. I managed over 200 outside sales reps as well as was in charge of product development and design. After many years of travel, I decided I wanted to follow in my parents footsteps and open my own business. My husband and I moved to Reno in 2003 and opened our window covering business, which we still own today. It’s locacted adjacent to Accent Home Interiors.
