I live in NW, like to pick up sandwiches when we go hiking. Second visit here. 3 young ladies with very poor customer service working. Was the same at our first visit, plus they got our order all wrong then. Think I’ll drive the further distance to Deli Town where both the customer service and sandwiches are consistently excellent. They also need to clean the filter in their soda machine.

I love Beach Hut Deli, and this was the first place I came to for a bite when I arrived in the Reno area. The sandwiches are huge, the environment is friendly and they even have an old school arcade room. My biggest complaint, and why they lost a star is the prices. 18 bucks for a large sandwich, drink and chips. Granted the sandwich is great, but it’s essentially 5 bucks more than other sandwich places. Throw us some specials, rotating sandwich discount days, a loyalty card or something and maybe it would be better. If i was in the Reno area again I’d have to think hard before going back.

DELICIOUS! A menu with tons of sandwich options and an awesome arcade area to hang out and enjoy your food. Oh, did I mention the arcade is only 25cents! Instead of $ 1 like most places

First of all, I love Beach Hut Deli. This location, not so much. Having frequented Beach Hut for the last 12 years in various locations, I have learned that you must order the dressing, but also the sprouts. When they put the dressing directly on the sprouts it keeps the bread from getting soggy and makes for a very flavorful sandwich. I went in today and ordered my normal and was sure to specify that I wanted sprouts with the dressing directly on them. When my name was called I asked, did you get the sprouts and dressing. The lady told me yes, and I went to leave. She called me back and told me she forgot the sprouts and offered to give me a side. I let her know that the sandwich was not made correctly and that was not acceptable. I explained what happens when the dressing is not on the sprouts and that my order was togo, so the bread would be terribly soggy. Her response was that she would take everything off the bread and use the bread to remake the sandwich.. . yes you read that correctly, same bread and ingredients taken apart and remade. I took the sandwich and left. Before leaving the parking lot I called to speak to the manager. I was then put on hold for 13 minutes and found that the manager was the one who suggested the rebuild of the sandwich. When I explained how unprofessional that was she said she saw no problem with that, for a $ 16 sandwich. My suggestion is to find another Beach Hut and go there. This one is not consistent and does not know how to fix it when they screw up.

I wanted to try this place out and I was glad I did. The sandwiches are big, I ordered a large since I was so hungry but should’ve got a regular, it isn’t bad but I don’t like wasting food. My boyfriend tho had no problem eating the large. I got a turkey with avocado and my bf got the bbq chicken, he said his was delicious and so was mine. The deli meats were cold and tasted fresh and so were all the veggies it came with and the bread was soft and tasted so good and fresh as well. I will definitely go back when I’m craving a sandwich and recommend this place as well.

Beach Hut Deli is a great sandwich shop! They have an extensive menu with different interesting options that you don’t find at other sandwich shops. It’s a little more expensive than most sandwich shops, but the quality of sandwich makes up for, although my wallet does cry a little every time I step into their doors. I usually get the spicolli but I’ll be branching out on my next visit for sure! I’m a creature of habit. The customer service is always great, and they have a great selection of beer for a sammie shop. I would absolutely recommend anyone come here for a sandwich, it’s worth every penny!

I was so happy to see The Beach But Deli pop up on the Unilocal app. I thought when they closed there location on Mae Anne they did not open a new one. I was so wrong and boy am I glad I was. Now located in the center as the Squeeze Inn, a quick left off Las brisas and you are there. Parking is plentiful with lots of spots available. The actual store is medium size with a couple booths and tables. The décor inside will transport you to Hawaii or the Caribbean. Straw thatched roof and a bamboo bar beckon you to come inside. Speaking of the bar, they have nine beers on tap including Tahoe Beer dirty wookie. I ordered a salami and Monterey Jack sandwich. The thing that separates the Beach But from other deli’s is how thick they carve there and cheese. It is not paper thin but has some body, kind off like when you cut a piece at home. The sandwich was delicious, I felt like I was eating a sandwich and not bread with a bit of meat hidden in the veggies. I definitely will be back, next time I am bringing suntan lotion and eating outside.

It Beach Hut! Almost all of them are great! This place is extra special because they have some good looking girls doing a great job building a fine sandwich! It is winter and the are still wearing tank tops and looking great! The are very quick and every detail is done just right! You can tell they like working there because of the work they do when serving you! The bread is fresh as well and the produce and meats. I love the Surfin Birld it is my fav! They have some cool variety’s of chip I have never seen before. The store is very clean from the front door to the restrooms. It is a very short way off I 80 but will for sure be a lunch stop for me when traveling through Reno! Well done Reno Beach Hut!

This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had it’s been over 4 years sense I’ve been to this place and today I was there. It’s worth the $ 17 I spend on a 12″ inch they put 5 times the meet than any place I’ve been too. and so much avocado it’s truly amazing. I would like them to be closer to where I live to go more often.

Being pregnant has really thrown my tastebuds on a wild ride. I have noticed myself headed to Sushi one minute and mid route flipped directions and wound up in the Super Burrito drive thru. Beach Hut Deli however, is always a for sure bet that does not disappoint. The other day I was really craving a «big» sandwich. I didn’t want a little puny one with 8 pieces of shredded lettuce and 3 little round slices of turkey. I wanted the daddy of all sandwiches. I found myself ordering the medium Surf N Bird at Beach Hut with a big cold soda to wash it down. Yes, my total was $ 17, but I was prepared to eat a $ 17 sandwich, all of it. The sandwich came with ripples of produce, turkey, bacon and cream cheese. My big mouth was finally too small to take this baby down so I nibbled at the sides like a little rabbit. The bacon was thick and crisp, the cream cheese was soft and the produce was packed in and fresh like it was just picked and washed. I devoured this sandwich faster than the army man who came in before me who was twice the size of me. I will be back beach hut… My baby and I thank you for a delicious and satisfying lunch!

This is the best beach hut I’ve ever been to. The staff is friendly and quick, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is fun and hip, and there’s a classic arcade full of games to play while you wait. I’ve been going to this beach hut since they moved from, and it has never disappointed me. The sandwiches are big, and tasty. I typically get a shark bite, which is basically a pile of ham slathered in BBQ sauce, with bacon, cream cheese, lettuce, and a little hot sauce to give it a nice kick, all between two pieces of toasted garlic bread. There is always some good hip hop music playing, and normally some sports show or whatever big game is going on playing on the TV. The staff is always very kind, and sometimes they have ideas for cool new sandwiches that you can try. The owners are also fantastic and I think the main reason why this beach hut is so much better than the others. My only complaint is that it’s a little pricey, but when you consider how much food you are getting it’s not unreasonable, it just prohibits how often I can go. Beach hut deli in northwest Reno is a great place to get lunch, catch a game, play some arcade games, and have a beer. I highly recommend this place.

Mostly great– I got the Hightide– basically a variety of meats with melted cheese on garlic bread. Tasted great, quite generous with the meat. Fun, casual restaurant, with some old school arcade games(you can sit at the frogger table!). But for a $ 10 sandwich, I’d really expect something on the side included. It was a thick sandwich, but on standard slices of white bread, so it looked so lonely not taking up much real estate in the basket. Yeah, you could at on a $ 4 potato salad or a drink, and soon enough you have a $ 17 meal. I’m not getting cheap, it just seemed chintzy to have a 4“x5″ $ 10 sandwich all by itself. Give me a little something to munch on… Idk a couple grapes or a pickle or orange wedge or something. Or make a meal deal. That said, there were a number of other menu items I’d like to try, I could be convinced to come back. The sandwich was enjoyable and filling.

I don’t know why I haven’t been in here before! I can recall a friend bringing me a sandwich from here many years ago, but this was my first time dining in and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Finding a quick, hearty sandwich later in the evening is a near impossible task. Imagine my excitement when I learned Beach Hut stays open until 10pm on weekdays! We went in around 9pm and the deli was calm with just a few customers. Their menu was seriously intimidating; I must’ve stood there for five minutes gazing at the board. The cashier was very nice and helped me decide on the California with a few minor changes. Our sandwiches came out quickly and we both gasped at the size when we picked them up from the counter. These sandwiches were so stacked it was a chore to fold them closed. The toppings were fresh and of great quality and quantity! My only disappointing remark was that the bread seemed really dry. Maybe the sandwich was just light on oil and vinegar, but I was hoping for a more moist and fluffy dutch crunch roll. Besides the bread, I loved my sandwich and am looking forward to coming back soon! I was happy to see they have a happy hour offering a discount on beer. The atmosphere was really fun and beach-surf themed,(obviously, hence the name) and they even have a nice, large TV. I can picture myself having a lot of fun here sipping beer during happy hour while watching a Giant’s game.

HOLDTHEPHONE. Why have I never been here before? Oh, I know why… like a year or two ago my boyfriend and I attempted to try to check this place out twice, on two separate occasions, and each time it was closed. This was when it was in a random shopping center, tucked away, where no one could find it. Now, it’s next to Keva Juice and Squeeze In, in a much more accessible center. After hearing how great the sandwiches were from Alyssa S., it was an obvious choice for lunch today. The options for their specialty sandwiches were different, but I decided to deviate from my usual turkey and cheese go-to, and I got the Surfin’ Pig. I even got it warmed, which I never do. It was a genius choice, because it was DELICIOUS. I’m pretty sure it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Seriously. The combination of Canadian ham, melted cheese, banana peppers, and cream cheese was just mind-blowing. I cannot wait to get another one of these beasts. Also, the coke machine was super fun. I concocted a peach Fanta, and it was fabulous. My only teeny, tiny gripe is the seating area. There aren’t many places to sit. Additionally, they have these surfboard booths that are HUGE. It was the only seating option left, and my friend and I felt it was a huge waste that just us two took up such a huge space. Other than that, this place is legit.

Gotta say i’m a fan! Have been here twice and not had any time to take advantage of their vintage video game selection. The menu is huge and they truly offer something for everyone. Sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, nachos, etc. Why not five stars? The price. My go to sandwich is the Skinny Dipper for a medium sandwich it is $ 12. Great sandwich, but I think $ 12 is a bit steep.(Of course i’ve been there twice so I paid the price.) Just went with my wife and our bill was $ 28.(Small and medium sandwich, two bags of chips, and a regular soda) I’m sure i’ll be back, but it won’t be as often as i’d like.(Gotta watch the dining out budget!)

I was pleasantly surprised by everything that Beach Hut Deli had to offer. It had a great interactive space that included an arcade and great patio space. The menu is unique and offers tons of different options for subs and hot sandwiches. I ordered a small Surfin’ Bird sandwich and it was delicious! It came completely overloaded with turkey, cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, peppers, avocado, and bacon. It was a very flavorful and delicious combination. Prior to trying Beach Hut Deli, I never considered the power of cream cheese on a sandwich. I highly recommend visiting this deli on a nice day: enjoy good food and the nice patio space. It is a bit expensive, but the sandwich is overall worth the splurge.

Pros: Food, service, beer, art, arcade, outside seating, coke machine, owners support local arts, music, television, and location. Cons: None If the Beach Hut Deli is not one of your favorite sandwich shops in town, we cant be friends. Just kidding, but seriously what more could you want from a deli? They have it all. Great food, cool owners, local beers, and even an artcade! This is easily one my favorite business’ ever. There is not a single sandwich that I have had here, that i did not like. They are all amazing. I could close my eyes, randomly point at the menu, and still have the most awesome sandwich regardless of what I chose. Every single person who has ever eaten out can tell you about how fake, advertisements or menu pictures look, in comparison to the food you actually receive. The Beach Hut Deli never fails when it comes to quality or presentation. Each sandwich(or salad) looks as if it was taken straight out of magazine where the business owner spent hours to perfect and exaggerate their product. You will never be surprised to see people here, taking pictures of their food before they bite into it. Some of my favorites that I wold like to recommend are the Dark-bite, Shark-bite, Haole Taco, Pig Kahuna, and the Islander(taste like a double double from In N Out). Not only will the sandwiches at the Beach Hut catch your attention and separate it from every other deli in town, but the vibe, creativity, and amenities on the inside will as well. They are always playing the best music and the walls are covered in paintings buy local artist that will blow your mind. Tables are appropriately surfboards and everything has a Tiki/Beach feel to it. They have a ginormous Television which is awesome for catching a game, while eating lunch, and even a great beer selection to compliment the games as well. Connected to the Beach Hut Deli is the Artcade. This is another advantage this deli has over your previous favorite. I say«previous favorite» because after coming here, I doubt you will find there to be any comparison. The Artcade is a beautiful combination of just what it sounds like, art and an arcade. Remember all those classic video games you enjoyed as a kid? The ones that are a rare find but bring back fond memories? The ones that you would save up all the quarters you found in the couch to play? They are all here in the Artcade. Everything from Rampage to Pac-man. You will be immersed in a place that you remember begging your parents to take you to. The Artcade is truly an original idea and a throwback, all in one. They took traditional arcade games and fused them together with modern art, music, and food. I want to address a couple things that people speak negatively about the Beach Hut Deli: Small and limited seating= a successful business where people are eagerly filling those seats. Expensive= You get what you pay for. If you want the freshest and best quality sandwich, you should realize that comes at a price(which is not much higher than most sandwich shops). Wait time= They are crafting a true work of art. Quality takes time, if you want something thrown together and don’t care about its quality than this is probably not the place for you. In addition, the wait for your sandwich just gives you more time to enjoy the Artcade!

I’m not even sure where to begin, but I’m going to anyways. As sandwiches go, no one can touch this place, I mean no one! That is not just because it is a deli that also serves beer. On a quick aside, I’d be, oh so happy if they put Guinness back on one of the taps, but I completely understand why it isn’t; I won’t be a hater and recognize, I am Guinness elite. Having got that out of the way let’s just say, the deli that serves beer on tap makes me a happy guy, and the choices are pretty dang good. The staff is great, they are always so friendly, polite, accommodating, and on a few trips the owner(I’m fairly sure he is the owner) was here and also equally cordial. More than cordial, he was gracious. On to the sandwiches: for the record they are amazing! I almost don’t even know where to begin; guess I’ll break it down. Today’s trip was the Dark Bite and wow! Layers of flavor, sweet, then succulent pastrami, cream cheese, then jalapeños, then the onion, and it is just waves of flavor in your face until you swallow, and then standby for the next wave of flavors. It is just waves of deliciousness punching you right in the tastebuds. Ask for it in a roll, but unless you have a big appetite, bring a partner, otherwise be warned: it is a lot to eat, and comes in only one size. On to the rest of the food, it is all so dang good. Several to choose from and they make sandwich science here. The bread is so fresh and simply amazing. The sandwiches are overstuffed and beautifully prepared. The meat is all top notch and the ingredients fresh. I am a huge pastrami fan so it’s not a stretch for me to enjoy it as part of my meal, but my wife who’s not a fan of the cured delicious meat even likes Beach Hut’s pastrami(and she can really be the picky one). To wrap it up, you just can’t go wrong here, it is all, oh so incredibly good. Great location(’cause it’s close to my home), great beer selection(and they serve beer in the first place), and great sandwiches made with fresh tasty ingredients. Almost forgot, they’ve got 80’s arcade games that are mostly in great shape, and does it get any cooler than that? No, it’s not COD, but I’m a Galaga, Ms. PacMan guy anyway.

For a «sammich» you can not beat this place! I know it’s a chain, but it is still delicious and incredible! Let me start by saying I don’t usually care for pastrami. I’ve tried it countless times and always hated it. About a year ago I accidentally ordered a Hobie which had salami and pastrami on it. I forced myself to try it and it’s been what I order every time we go there. The last two times I FORCED myself to try new things and I couldn’t be happier! About a month ago we split a Pig Kahuna. I loved the combo of pork, bbq sauce, and Tabasco. Today however was the highlight. We shared a Dark Bite, on a roll, sans the mayo. Perfect is all I can say. It’s hot pastrami, bacon, bbq sauce, Tabasco, melted cheese, cream cheese, and jalapeños. I ate until I almost burst! They have local and craft beers on tap and ice cold mugs but the best part is the 80s arcade. The games are well maintained and they rotate new ones in occasionally. Currently they have a Joust game which is my all time favorite and one of the few we don’t own at home. Be patient, our location on Las Brisas gets busy at lunch and there’s not a ton of tables. There is usually plenty of parking except on Sunday mornings when the Squeeze In packs them in :) Enjoy!
