Easy Rooter Plumbing

Plumbing discomfort but not an emergency. However I had a mainline clog that was backing up a toilet and tub. Mike came out in less than two hours on a Saturday and fixed it within 30 minutes. He even took the extra step of cleaning one of the laterals just in case. $ 90 all in. I’d definitely call them again. BTW I’ve got two high-​energy boys that have a million questions, which Mike handled like he was a museum docent explaining the Mona Lisa.

Mother’s Day brunch, 20 people, flooding basement! They were here in 30 minutes, $ 133 to fix my «problem» in 5 minutes.
Best $ 133 I’ve ever spent!
We will call them again for plumbing help.

Had an issue with my main drain line and the septic system. Jeremy showed up early in the promised time block and took care of the problem very quickly, providing a lot of information about the septic system and how it can function properly. What more can you ask for than friendly and efficient. Thanks Jeremy.

Appointment was at 5:00, they showed up at 6:10 without calling.

RUDE! Called at 7:30 this morning and they were supposed to be at my house by 10 – 10:30. It’s now 11:00 and when I called and asked when they would be there the guys said another hour to hour and a half. I asked why they didn’t let me know, have people waiting for them he said we are busy. Canceled my appointment and will NOT use them they just don’t give a crap about customer service!

I just bought a house and was looking to have a gas line put in to replace my electric oven with a gas range. I called practically every plumber in town, and even did all the research I needed to do it myself (i.e. permitting, materials, etc.). I decided not to do it myself just because I realized I’d have to drill through the 10−12″ foundation and that would have been a pain.
Every quote I got was for $ 700-​$ 750 all included, so I was feeling discouraged because that was way more than I expected. Many of the plumbers I talked to said, «Oh yeah I can do it for $ 600 no problem». At first I was excited at the lower price, but then once I started prying into it they’d admit, «Well yeah plus $ 100 for materials and $ 150 for permits». So be sure to ask for the full cost of the service.
Finally I decided to just go with Easy Rooter. They quoted $ 750, but during the estimates were by far the most responsive, courteous, and upfront. No hidden costs, just $ 750 assuming nothing went terribly wrong (obviously if the house’s plumbing was about to fall apart anyway we’d have to have a talk).
So the plumber (Jeremy, great guy) showed up on time to do the installation. Once he really got to starting he realized it would be harder than he expected (he also found that he’d have to drill through the foundation to go with his original plan). So he came up with a new plan to use the existing piping and rethread it, and came to tell me his plan. Worried about what it was going to cost me for him to do it the hard way I asked what the price delta would be, and he said it’d be $ 100 *cheaper* since he would actually be using less materials this way. Yeah, that’s right, it turned out to not be as easy as he expected so he gave me a discount. In all it took about 4 hours from when he first showed up until I was making lunch on my new gas range.
Take it from someone who called every plumber in town and went so far as to get the permit from the city of Sparks to do it myself: Easy Rooter was the way to go.

Easy Rooter is the biggest joke! My fiancé called them this afternoon to help us with our leaking water heater and their technician showed up with stains all over his shirt, a tooth pick in his mouth and had an attitude to match his attire. As if all of this wasn’t enough, he took one look at the heater and told us the only way to fix it is buy a new water heater for $ 1,700. We chose to get a second opinion and boy are we glad we did. $ 300 later our water heater was fully functional. I would NOT recommend Easy Rooter to anyone’

My main line and my toilet broke at the same time on a Sunday afternoon, and flooded multiple rooms in my house. My toilet, washing machine and bath all overflowed.
I called Marge, who was VERY polite and helpful, and Raul came within an hour to take a look. After seeing it would be a more complex job than usual, he recommended I wait until Monday to get it fixed, as it would be so much cheaper. He didn’t even charge me a callout fee!
Great service and friendly people. No callout fee is a big plus.

My wife and I had a mainline back up that caused both our kitchen sink and washing machine drain to clog and back up. Called Marge on a Friday evening for a Saturday service call. Set our appointment for noon and when Raul showed up he had the job done and cleared in 30 minutes.
Marge was awesome.
Raul was awesome.
While other places wanted time and half for their technicians to come out ($ 115), Easy Rooter was $ 85.
Drains cleared. Job done. Fast. Efficient. Friendly.

Fast, responsive, efficient. 30-​minute response on a busy Friday night (midnight!) for our bar. Only plumbers in town with the technology to add pipe liner to shore up existing pipe and avoid extensive and pricey tear up that entails jack-​hammering, permits, utility marking and potential weeks of delay.

They told me it would cost $ 85 they charged me $ 195, that’s all I need to say about this company. D– grade. If your menu said 5 dollars for a sandwitch and your bill came to 21.50 would you EVER eat threre again??! No. EOM!

Mike R. just came out and cleared our main line sewer blockage in about 20 minutes. $ 120 and we now have functioning showers, toilets, sinks, etc. He showed up about a half hour after I called, after hours on a Friday night. Absolutely professional, knew what he was doing, and got the job done. Highly recommended, and ask for Mike!

Our sump pump alarm started going off around 11am on a Saturday (go figure). I’ve been fortunate enough to never need a plumber before, so I wasn’t sure who to call! Then I remembered that I had a magnet with a bunch of emergency numbers on my fridge that came in the mail with a plumber advertisement. So, I decided to give them a try.
I called the office and spoke with a very nice lady, Marge maybe? She assured me that service on a Saturday wasn’t going to be any more money (yay) and she would send someone to my house the same day. Within about an hour, our plumber (Jeremy) showed up. He was kind and knowledgable. Within about an hour of arriving, he had our sump pump fixed and told us what the problem was. Apparently, our two year old had flushed some wipes down the toilet (whoops). The price was very reasonable, I actually was expecting to pay more! Anyways, Easy Rooter is now our number one choice for plumbers!

To make a long story short, the lady I did business with over the phone was wonderful and had a great sense of humor. The owner, Bruce was pleasant and interested in my story. Since my husband passed a couple of months ago all I have gotten is the go around with several businesses. This was not the case with them. They righted everything and was very reasonable. I will definitely call them again. Thank you Easy Rooter!

I would give ZERO stars if I could. The dispatchers are rude and the technicians do not show upon time, if they show up at all. This company has caused tremendous angst, wasted time, and general ill-​will. I plan on contacting the better business bureau. Dispatchers are rude, ill-​informed, have ZERO customer service skills, and frankly they lie.
I asked to speak to the owner and Dispatcher-​BRUCE (probably earns $ 8.00 per hour) refused and then hung up on me… I called back and some woman transferred me to a bogus voice mail that hung up on me.
Once, they did not show up and they claimed my voice-​mail box was full (I received NO missed calls on my call log), and the time before that, female dispatcher told me it would be fine to leave the home as long as I left the front door unlocked. Oh, by the way, she also told me that again on Friday June 27, 2013, until I questioned her on it, and she placed me on hold. She came back after asking someone and was informed that, no, in fact they cannot enter the premise without occupant there.
Being a dispatcher for a roto-​rooter company is not a highly skilled occupation, however one would think that they would have at least some semblance of customer service skills. I have been dealing with them for the past 30 fays that I have lived in this new house, the have been awful awful awful.. I will NEVER deal with this company or its’ dispatchers again.
I would suggest hiring different dispatchers who are not rude, offensive, passive– aggressive, verbally inept, and obnoxious. Good luck with your business. As a business owner myself, I would never allow people like Bruce/​female dispatch to represent my company… but, to each his own.

Took a while (4 hours) to get to me with a few phone calls, think this was just organization. The plumbers that came out were great — explained everything clearly and got right to work. Had my sewer line cleared in about 30 minutes. As my clean-​out was on the roof it cost more — still much less than others in town.

They sent someone out within 30 – 45 min of me calling. Jeremy, the repair guy, is awesome and the price ended up being lower than I imagined. I’ll definitely give these guys a call if I’m in need of emergency plumbing work in Reno.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Easy Rooter today. Called at about 8:45 this morning, and someone was out before noon. Just needed help winterizing the drip system for the landscaping (bought a house & had no idea how to do it), but the young man who came helped us with about five other things while he was here! Friendly, professional, and fast. I would definitely call them again.

Below was my complaint, and they called today and split the difference with me. I raised my rating because of there response to my complaint, but my comments are below just to warn others of what to beware of when ordering with them.
This company is misleading and overcharges for their service. I ordered their $ 49.00 drain repair and asked them what it would cost to tighten my sink and check my shower head for water pressure issues. They said the tech would tell me onsite the additional cost. Long story short, Charged me $ 144.00, $ 49.00 was the cost to drive 30 min each way to to use a special machine to clean my drain, then they charged 95.00 to tighten a screw on my sink (not even able to tighten 100%) and check 1 shower head. I recommend using a company that does not need to advertise like this company does. Tell me 95.00 for the hour up front and I have no problem, charge $ 49.00 for 1.5 hours or travel and work, then $ 95.00 for no travel and 10 min of work is not good!
