Gabino’s Mobile Mechanic

I called this place yesterday about coming to check out my car, and they said they’d come by this morning at 9 to check it out for free. I was super stoked that they weren’t going to charge me!
Then everything went downhill this morning. My apartment is hard to find, so the mechanic called me to ask where I was. I gave directions, it didn’t seem like he was listening, and then he told me he was going to «call his friend» and then call me back. No idea why he was calling a friend. An hour passed. No call back.
I called back, and he said he’d called me. Told him I didn’t get a call – maybe some tech issue – and he told me he’d call back and that I «need to start answering the phone». I said I never got his call. Then he said a bunch of other stuff, and I told him I couldn’t understand what he was saying. Maybe it was the phone or his thick accent; I don’t know.
Then, he hung up on me.
Super unprofessional, even if they were going to give me a free service. Wasted a bunch of my time when I could’ve just paid someone else to show up promptly and not be rude.

I called them this morning to basically take a bolt out for the thermostat. .they worked on it for a 20 minutes and I payed 60 dollars. right after they left I drove a mile down the street and my car overheated. .I had it towed to a shop and they said the thermostat seal was put on sideways. I never signed papers or had a recite. I’ll be wiser next time

Excellent job! My husband called on Monday morning to schedule an appointment at our house because our car wasn’t working. The crew showed up already an hour later and immediately started doing diagnostics on it. My car had some electrical problems that needed to get fixed at their shop and they moved the car from the house to their shop which made it a lot easier for me.
The crew worked 15+ hours going through the entire car and trying to find the problem part that was draining the car battery. Once they figured out the problem, they were very quick and efficient about fixing it. The best part was that they only charged us for 8 hrs worth of work which saved us a lot of money!
I would recommend Gabino’s to anyone who needs a (mobile) mechanic who does good work. Don’t let the language barrior discourage you, the work speaks for itself.
