Our vast selection of mouldings and matboards allows us to offer museum preservation options, including conservation glazing, acid-​free matboards and substrates, as well as everyday value-​priced options suitable for posters and decorative wall art… and everything in between. All framing is done onsite by our experienced framers, so your artwork never leaves our care. Forty years ago, The Frame Shop at Lakeside opened its doors in the Moana West Shopping Center, where it continues its long history of excellence in quality custom framing today.

I’ve done business with The Frame Shop at Lakeside a number of times and have always received such an incredible level of quality and craftsmanship. They do absolutely phenomenal work and the rates are very competitive. They’ve been in business a number of years and they’re not a chain, so supporting local goes a long way. I’ve needed a few wires done for pictures and a wood buffalo caricature and they did such an awesome job.

I recently visited several framing establishments in the Reno area seeking ideas for my poorly displayed treasure. When I got to the frame shop I was very pleased with the innovative ideas and the very reasonable prices. As I am moving from Reno in short order, I was also impressed that the owner volunteered to expedite my work to meet my short time schedule. I picked up my beautifully framed masterpiece today as promised! It is everything I had hoped for and then some. Thank you very much!

I recently had two prints framed here. I found a nice selection of framing and matting options and very helpful and knowledgeable staff who spent a lot of time with me helping me to chose the best option for my print. They were both done in a timely manner and when they said they would be. The really good service started after I got my prints home and noticed one of them had a speck of floating something that was distracting to look at towards the bottom of the matting. When I called them back and told them about it, they were very gracious and told me to bring it back in and they would fix it at no extra charge. I did and when I got the print back, it was perfect. I would definitely go here again, but only with a piece that was worthy of the price. Their options are lovely, but before beginning the chosing process, it would have been helpful if the staff had asked my price range.

Just moved from SF to Reno. While hanging pictures, I dropped a stretched oil painting in an antique frame, the painting came out of the frame. Took it to The Frame Shop. Lori knew exactly what to do, and did it… at no charge.
Besides that, this looks like a fantastic, serious frame shop, and I will be back.
