We’ve come here several times for their Sunday brunch buffet and I love it. It’s the time I get to sample their menu without being obligated to sticking with one dish. The buffet itself can be seen as small, but when dishes run out, they’re replaced by different things. There is the ‘set’ stuff of rice, refried beans, ground beef, taco shells, lettuce, crema(aka sour cream), cheese and a couple of other things I’ve overlooked. Then at the last cluster of hot food is where the fun is — it can rotate out from flautas/taquitos to their chimichangas. It’s never the same. I’ve also seen chilaquiles there a few times! Their chilaquiles have some kick, so be warned. They also have soups, but I haven’t tried them yet. …and for the vegetarians, they will do an omelette for you chock full of lovely veggies. Honestly, it’s a great hearty brunch where you can hang for a bit after and watch some soccer and football. I’ve also been back here for dinner — we’ve brought co-workers and out of town guests here. Honestly, my new favorite sit down Mexican restaurant. Hope to see you there some time! :)

Good as ever. Still love my #4 combo. I love to get the tostada on a separate plate so the sauce from the enchilada doesn’t make the tostada shell soggy. I also like to get the verde sauce for my chicken enchilada. Always huge chunks of excellent white meat chicken. I do miss the old owner he was always happy to see us & would make the rounds checking on everyone.

I like coming here with my family on the weekends. The owner of this restaurant is really friendly and very attentive. Always asking if there’s anything else we need, or asking how we’re doing. And it’s never annoying or obnoxious; you can tell that he legitimately cares about you. The food and the service are both great. Service is quick, they bring out the food within a reasonable time and you don’t ever feel like it’s taking too long. Food size is just right. I tend to order a traditional plate and I always struggle a bit towards the end to finish it. Today’s food was a bit on the salty side thou. As a whole the restaurant has a nice homey environment and the employees definitely make sure you feel that way. It’s definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.

I’m incredibly glad we stopped in here for lunch today. The specials are incredible. The smells are more incredible. It’s quiet and out of the way. The booths are deep and comfy. Here’s the idea. Take the best taco you’ve ever had. Now, smother it in cheese, avocado, sour cream, beans and rice, and then add fresh, vibrant pico de gallo. You won’t need to find more than spare change in your couch to pay for lunch. The most expensive lunch combo was 12 bucks. Way to go guys, you take Tex mex to a whole new level!

I think I would rate this 5 stars personally but, since I’ve grown up with east coast Mexican food, I think nearly all the Mexican restaurants around here deserve 5 stars. Also I had the burrito al pastor which was, besides from being a little salty, was so flavorful. The avocados also helped offset the salt from the pork. I also shared a 27 oz margarita with the hubby which had a kick that cannot be denied. To start, we had the guacamole which was everything a good appetizer should be: cheap, appetizing, and quick to come out. Instead of mashing the avocados a la traditional guac, they left the avocado in chunks(thus the speediness of our appetizer) which made for easier dunking and less chip loss(don’t tell me all of you guac enthusiasts have not thought about this). Also, such a minor detail, but the staff all called us «amigos» which is a friendly service detail that made me smile . All of this plus 2 kinds of fresh salsa with our free chips made this an amazing meal. The only thing that was worrisome was hearing the microwave from the kitchen constantly. Everything tasted fresh and not microwaved but I’d rather not have that thought while I’m eating a fresh meal.

We recently moved to Renton and we were looking for our Mexican food fix. This place is awesome! Nice ambience, very clean. The staff is really friendly. The pico de gallo and salsa are just scrumptious, and they are bottomless along with the chips! I had the Quesadillas de Espinaca(spinach quesadilla) and my wife had the veggie enchiladas and they were just DELICIOSAS! The servings were generous and there is so much to pick from the menu. Definitely we will come back!!!

They provide you with a plate of pico and a serving of salsa to start which was very good. My vegetarian enchiladas involved a white wine sauce which was new and different and all together welcome. Worth a trip I’d say.

Very nice employees. My gf and I stopped in mainly for the tequila and then had the nachos with Carne asada. It was huge. The fresh pico with the chips was perfect. we had sooooo many chips yesterday! Got to meet the owner as well. Very nice man. We’ll be back soon. Brought home my hubby the pollo creama and he also loved it.

This place is always the place to go. My family has been going here for years. Great food, great service, great prices. But i to was disappointed when they changed things up. Service is ok now, food still good, but price wise it sucks. Oh well we will still enjoy going bc its tradition for us.

Stopped in for lunch because I was in the area. I asked for whole beans instead of refried with my order. The waitress said no problem, but I guess there was a problem because I got refried. I would have pointed out the mistake if she had ever returned, but the next time I saw her was with the check. The food: blah The service: terrible

New owners, new name new décor. I had eaten here many times under the old owners. I was concerned when the name changed. I ate there this evening with my girlfriend. We both had the Carne Asada and it was the best that either of us have ever had. The meat was tender and flavorful. They asked us how we wanted it cooked which is something I am rarely asked when ordering Carne Asada. Good service, stiff drinks. I’m really glad that the new owners have surpassed the standards of my old haunt. While the old restaurant we really good, the subtle changes have been an improvement. We will go again.

New management, new prices, new bad taste in my mouth! We have been going to this restaurant for what seems like forever! It was our go to restaurant when we wanted something close, yummy and affordable. We booked it for parties, girls nights, family get together’s and loved their brunch. The staff would remember us and we felt that wonderful sense of comfort and familiarity that would keep bringing us back. BUT… Fast forward to now! The place has undergone changes during the last 3−6mths, at first we thought for the better! New décor, newly revised menu… But that is where the positives stop! I heard that Jaivier sold it to his newphew who has now inflated prices for the same old food, made portions smaller for the same food which we are now paying more for. No custom orders like we used to be able to make. No customer care! They are clearly out to make money to afford the new renovations. When we questioned our bill, as we were charged for an adults meal instead of a kids meal, they refused to change the bill. A family of 4, we used to eat there for $ 45+ tip. This time we paid over $ 100+ tip… For the same food!(except the kids meal they would not change). 2 adult meals, 2 kids meals, 1 beer, 1 root beer… $ 100 = shocked! Seriously! We were beyond shocked, not only at the price but at the reluctance to change their billing mistake! We understand that yes, it is a business and that they need to make money. But really, we have been regulars with this business for years. It would not of been like that 6mths ago with Jaivier there. We are sad to say that we will not be going back and that we will be sharing our horrible experience!

This place makes me happy. The service is so fast and friendly you can’t help but smile and want to talk to everyone. We always sit in the bar, mainly cause I don’t like sitting next to kids or babies. I’m from Mexifornia, so I am very picky about good Mexican food. This place has my vote. Although I’m not a fan of their tamales, I see a lot of people order them so they must think they are good. If you shop at Fred Meyer in Renton, on the back of their receipts is a free dinner coupon that I strongly recommend using. I don’t think they are too pricey of a place, but when you start adding on the Margaritas and Tecate’s with your food… the $ 10 off coupon comes in handy.

Yum. Yum. YUMMM! how have I not come in here yet? Excellent service, great food, good ambience! Nice décor without looking like a parrot threw up all over. Mexican colors n all, but muted :) there some games on TV, and music on. Neither overpowering the other or if you had a conversation going either. Now the food. Chips n salsa are good. Salsa is better than mist Mexican restaurants. Has some spice to it! Tortilla soup is all I got today, but based on it I’ll be back for entrees! Great broth, served hot! Good sized to large chunks of tortilla, lots if it and chicken n cheese too! Look beyond the odd flat chicken squares, its delish. Good amount of avocado compared to other places, but I’m a fien so I could always have more: p all in all, great place!

Stumbled upon this place, after a long day moving a family member across the state. We had a large group(10) and they fit us in at 8pm on a Saturday night. I had no idea what to expect, but was relieved they were willing to get us in. We were all so happily surprised to find our new favorite restaurant! Everything was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. They even helped us celebrate my Mom’s birthday — all very last minute on a busy night. The drink selection was great. The food was fabulous. Spicy Camerones Diablo reminded me of the spicy chile dishes I enjoyed in Santa Fe. The burritos were enormous and delicious. We were all exhausted and hungry and just wanted something to eat, but we got a wonderful dining experience as well. I will certainly go back often.

My friend and I stopped in for a drink at the bar. I ordered a piña colada and he had a mango margarita. Both were incredibly tasty! We ended up ordering food as well. I had the chicken taquitos, which were on the appetizer menu. It included 2 very large taquitos, guacamole, sour cream and pico. It was way more food than I was expecting, but delicious so I was able to take half home. The food came out in less than 10 minutes and everything tasted great! I would totally eat(and drink!) here again.

This was my last stop of the Renton Pub Crawl and then it was my bedtime, my friends went onto Local 907 and Berliner. It was a Friday and they have a guy singing and he was super good. We got him to serenade our friend and it was amazing. Service was very good. Chips and salsa for everyone even though our drinking was slowing. We left a large tip, it was a good break from the bar scene. I really appreciated the water and chips and salsa– I know lame but responsible. This visit made me a La Hacienda loyal customer.
