Tonkin Park

Tiny little park across from the Renton Vehicle and Vessel Licensing office on Williams Ave. South. There are two tables to sit at and one of them is very dirty. There is a place for pet bags of you have your pet with you and a few trash cans. There was no garbage in the park… Oh no spoke to soon, someone just thee trash on the ground! There is a small stage at the far corner of the park and all of the cement by it is not suitable for grinding your skateboard. There is a statue of a donkey entitled Dinkey Run Away From. Mines. No idea what it’s about or why. There is also a stone monument saying the Tonkin family donated this land to the city for the park.
A good place to wait for friends or family on line at the Vehicle and Vessel licensing office next door. At least it is green, shady and outdoors!
