Reseda Mufflers & Brakes

My car was making a funny noise, thought it might have been my muffler. They lifted my car up and checked it out, no charge. Everything was fine. They gave their opinion on what it could be and were very helpful. I do not live in the Reseda, but if I need anything done in relation to my muffler I will drive here to come to this shop. Honest and helpful people. Thank you!

So recently I got some mufflers installed but didn’t like the sound so I brought my car here to get my old mufflers installed back onto my car. They attended real well and did an awesome job, given that the mufflers were bolt on. I was in and out less than a hour.

I brought in my ’67 Mustang in January of 2015 after an engine swap, running on dual dumps from a ’64 Ranchero and they knew exactly what needed to be done to raise the pipes closer to the body of the car and over the rear end instead of letting out under the back seat. He did a great job, for a good price, and it only took a day.

Had grinding brakes and called for appointment. They took me right away and checked front and back while I waited. Told me front brakes were good and I only needed back brakes. Quoted me the price, very reasonable. Was done very quick and for the price quoted, no hidden cost or surprises. Would recommend 100%.

They suggested me to put an used part with cheaper price when already having the necessary part.
Full warranty for six months was provided. Hope this new installed part is reliable enough.

I was in a desperate need of my brakes repaired so I decided to look on Unilocal and found this 84 5 stars shop called Z technic .I drove to them with no brakes, just to hear «we don’t do AMERICAN CARS!!!
So I looked up again and found this 46 (now 47) five stars shop. Called them up and the owner answered and told me «yes we do» within less than two hours I had my brakes done with new rotors for a affordable competitive price and they even adjusted my emergency brakes at NO COST! .
I am sure this place will have 500 five stars soon!

I am by no means a mechanic, but have spent hundreds of hours working on my ’79 VW bus. I only try to get work done by professionals when I feel it is ‘out of my league’. My point being, I subscribe to the idea that «if you want it done right, do it yourself» — I pay too much attention to detail.
This place, I really feel, has the same appreciation for craftsmanship and not just doing the work you paid them to do, but to do it properly, and do it well.
I’ve come here several times, once to install a turbo muffler and bigger pipes from the manifold all the way back on my Suzuki Samurai. There were details that I felt would have been neglected if I took it to a shop that had no consideration for details and workmanship, simple things like the turn-​down on the muffler tip.
I came back twice afterwards to repair an exhaust leak from a broken EGR pipe on my VW which kept vibrating off. Not their fault since it was a stop-​gap measure when I bought the bus 8 years ago from Oregon and had to do some edits to connect the EGR filter to the exhaust. The original hack just wasn’t holding up, and I was getting tired of being ripped off by other muffler places to do a quick weld. This time, I asked them if they can make it beefier to prevent the recurring problem. It looks good so far, and will update if required in the future. As for now, I am a very happy camper.
TLDR; The prices are competitive, the work is done well. This place is my first choice to do any muffler and exhaust jobs. Highly recommend.

Great service, friendly people. They’ve installed my exhaust system and couple days later, the bolts and screws from the header connected to the exhaust pipes came off and days later I went back and they’ve fixed both Bolts and Screws and I told them to Weld one side of each bolts making sure it wouldn’t come off lose again. They supported me and did all the fixing for me FREE!

I was looking for a good shop to do a muffler delete and called a few places, reseda muffler was the only shop who said come in and we can take a look. I went in they told me exactly what needs to be done and explained to me they will make it so it is easy to replace. This was a big concern of mine because the car is a lease and i will have to replace the original exhaust before returning the car. Took about 1 hour and came back and WOW the exhaust sounded better then expected, tips looks amazing and the workmanship was exceptional. The price was a little higher then I expected but you get what you pay for. Awesome service, exceptional quality products and exceeding expectation. Thank you Reseda Muffler!

Thieves, worst communication skills ever! So I was here before and had gotten my exhaust done with these guys. They gave me this off brand cat they said would last 2 – 3 years, it didnt, lasted like 6 months (but I got my smog done and passed so it worked out). So I come back to get repairs and they just blow me off, saying they can’t do the repairs and to get out. It would be fine that they didn’t want to do the work, but they could at least tell it to me in a professional manner. Yeah, these guys weld and make exhausts, but they don’t have the right professionalism, they just work.

These guys are great! My car sounded like a lawnmower driving down the street. These guys took a quick look. They repaired it quickly (under 45 minutes), and inexpensively ($ 60). 5 stars!

Ended up here on the day after Christmas because the other 3 shops I went to were closed. I’m sure glad the others were closed because I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I was in and out of there with my two new mufflers installed in less than an hour. The guys are friendly and know their stuff. The pricing was very reasonable and right along the lines of what I was expecting. All in all, I will definitely return whenever I need any other exhaust work done and I urge you to give them a try.

Went here based upon Unilocal reviews, wow was I thankful I did! I called earlier in the week and was told to just bring my car in and they would definitely be able to squeeze me in. I had my doubts. However they did just that. Zee didn’t try to convince me to have unnecessary repairs done to my car, he actually told me I DIDN’T need rear brakes until probably the end of this year.
They provided me with an estimate on the projected bill and explained they wanted to use certified Honda parts. In the end, they charged me exactly what they said they would, showed me the box for the brakes and were finished a half hour before they told me they would be. I will definitely refer them and will see them at the end of the year! Thanks guys!

Called them once, the gentleman over the phone was very kind, and helpful and I did not feel rushed. He seemed very eager to help me out and was able to give me a quote over the phone about switching out my catalytic converter for my 2004 Celica. I told him I’d be over in just a little bit. When I got there (less than 10 minutes after the call), it seemed like the whole shop knew that I was coming.
This says allot in my opinion as it shows that they have confidence and value in their customers and are very welcoming. Right as I pulled up, a different gentleman, Sako knew what I wanted and knew who I was. He said «you called about the cat?», and at that exact point, I knew I was going to be taken care of. I didn’t even think it to be necessary to ask if the cat would pass smog due to California regulations, however I did anyway as a bridge into conversation, he assured me (before, during and after the install), and thanked me for asking as apparently people show up with online prices and expect to pay as such for a cat that is only good for 49 states… well guess which state is the one that does not accept those cheap $ 50 cats? yup, you guessed it, California.
He proceeded to drive my car up onto the lift, they opened the hood, brought out their ipad, checked to make sure that the right cat for my car was available, and matched the correct numbers needed to make sure that it would allow me to pass smog. They brought it down from storage, a different gentleman started working on it, and you could tell this guy was a pro, based on his handling of the tools, welding skill and professionalism. All in all, I was in there about 20 minutes, had my cat installed and paid EXACTLY what the gentleman over the phone stated. Thank you for an awesome job, and you have earned a customer and a friend for life!
