Reseda Super Thrift Store

Super Thrift (despite the name) is a solid «eeeehhhhhh» on the thrift store scale (the scale going from «eww stay away» to «I want to live here»). Nothing exactly «Super» about it. As a thrift store addict, I could easily walk past here and not really care if I went in or not. That says A LOT. I usually stop in to browse if I’m not too tired after spending two solid hours at the Goodwill up the street.
Now, not to get down on Super Thrift, they have a large selection of stuff. However, over the course of 3 months and scouring the racks, I typically see the same stuff. So, I’m guessing there isn’t a big stock rotation. Most of the clothes are either crummy, 80s or weird foreign mall brands I’ve never heard of. Rarely ever find vintage here. Either the prices are awesome at $ 1.99 for a dress… or completely overpriced, charging $ 30 for a 1970s muu muu. Still trying to figure out that logic. But I will give them a slice of credit for actually having a whole rack dedicated entirely to muu muu’s. Way to go, guys.
Housewares are hit or miss. Most of them are pretty icky. I did get some cool 1960s large wooden bowls for $ 3 that I use to hold my lucite bangles. But, that’s about the extent of my finds here.
There are no fitting rooms, and this is a place where people let their children run loose… so it’s not always the most pleasant environment. I do like the neon Jesus sign, adds the perfect element of kitsch.
If you like outdated early 2000’s mall clothes that may or may not fit you… then this place is for you. Otherwise, I advise going elsewhere.

Paid for parking, got out, and it was 7:45. They had locked up. If you close at 7:45, just say so.

I love to go thrifting but nowadays I hate paying the price that Goodwill or Salvation army set for their clothes. Seriously I rather pay $ 10 for a new dress or a new shoulder bag rather than for used ones. Like seriously $ 7 for a used blouse?! For used clothes you are going to charge me that much even though they are USED? Come on, don’t be outrageous. Anyway then I discovered this place and was in shocked at how inexpensive everything was.
This store is huge! It has a second floor for little kids. This place is breathable compared to other thrift shop if you know what I mean. They also have parking in the back.
My biggest find was a Kate Spade shoulder bag for $ 8!!! My little brother found some Pac Sun pants for cheap as well. I have found many good clothing here for cheap. I have came back many times and I am please with this thrift shop.
The only downside is that they do not have a fitting room. For a thrift store I think that is a very vital asset. I hope they will make one soon.

This place doesn’t have a dressing room. Everything else great about it becomes pointless. I spent about 45 mins in this large thrift shop and found about 10 things to try on. Couldn’t find the dressing room. «Oh, we don’t have a dressing room, but we do have a mirror over there». I just put everything back. I need to try on clothes. If you’re cool with not trying on before you purchase then maybe this is the place for you. I would have given them 4 stars. Cute things if you sift through the packed clothing at a cheap price but I won’t be back.

Let me first say, I had never visited this thrift store even though I and my children love finding treasures at thrift stores. So, I was in the San Fernando, trying to be on time for an important meeting, went way past my address… Then I saw this huge super thrift store… After my meeting, I stopped by and immediately I felt like this was a very clean and well organized thrift store.
Every section I visited, I was totally impressed how my basket was filling up and I mean really fast. I kept pulling things off one after another. This thrift store’s prices were amazing. There were brand name items for economical prices I had come across in thrift shopping in a long time.
I like the fact the children section was in the upstairs loft… big enough for my children to browse the puzzles and toys while I could peacefully shop for great clothes for my crew… Amazing…I was really satisfied.
I have been back several times since my first. Please keep up the great work Reseda Super Thrift Store.

I’m not really into thrift stores but Jack B. likes to check out the stuffed animals and turn them into distorted creations. This is one of the spots we check out. While he looks for his next victims, I find animals that I like and put them in prime locations where they are most likely to be seen, purchased, and loved.
Since I tag along Thrifting with Jack B., I’d say I’ve seen enough stores to be able to rate them.
Reseda Super Thrift Store has a lot of stock. It’s big and open and even on a Saturday afternoon, I don’t feel boxed in by the amount of customers.
The main floor is huge. There you can find Mens, Womens, Household wares, Books, and if you are in the market for some VHS tapes, this is the place to look. lol.
The second floor is maybe a third the size of the main one but it’s still a good size. There you will find Childrens, Toys, Boardgames, stuffed animals.
The only downside, which sucks to say it’s a downside but it’s true… I’ve been here a handful of times and only seen them once so I don’t know what day or how many days they do this. But they had 4 or so mentally disabled people «working» to organize or whatever they were suppose to be doing and they were all loud and rude and frustrating. They did have a caretaker looking over them and she was definitely doing her job and making sure they were behaving. It was just annoying. I think its great that they do that. I just want to do my own thing, undisturbed.
The store is bright and clean. Even with the amount of stock that they have, it’s not as cluttered as other thrift stores.
There is plenty of parking in the back.
The prices are also cheap. I know, I know, it’s a thrift store. But I remember walking into a Goodwill one time and walking out because it was close to the prices of a Ross or Marshall’s.
If you like Thrifting, then definitely check this place out.
And if you are new to thrifting, know that if there is no price on an item, it’s not for sale.

I love this thrift store! They have great prices and a great selection. If you look hard enough you will for sure leave the store with something. This thrift store is way cheaper than Salvation Army or Goodwill. I got a pair of vintage high waisted Calvin Klein jeans for $ 1.59! Which is probably one of my most favorite finds at the store. My friend also got a pair of timberland ankle boots for $ 7 definitely will come back again

I really like this thrift store. Its large and has a great selection of clothing for cheap. I found a few really cute shirts and and a skirt. nothing was over 3 $. Highly recommend this thrift shop!

I had an emergency– I went from working in a vet clinic in scrubs, and boarding dogs at home in PAJAMAS sometimes; suddenly, I found myself working for a financial group! I needed decent business attire ASAP.
I literally arrived with only 17 minutes left before closing– I walked out with 3 skirts (one even had the tag from Ross, it was new!), 1 dress pants, 2 suede/​soft leather jacket and blazer, and 6 work blazers. How much? $ 40.
I could make a better song than Macklemore.
ONLY con? No fitting room! The skirts ended up not fitting, the material in those pencil skirts did not like my curves.
Otherwise– clean and fantastically cheap. With 100% of profits aiding the homeless and children in the community.
On a scale of one to Mike Shinoda, this store is a gorgeous Mike Shinoda.

Came here looking for «vintage» items without the vintage price for a school play. Found a few extra items at a great price.
Plenty of parking in the back. Jeans $ 2 – 5, short dress $ 5

This place is AMAZING! Such a huge selection, clean, organized, extremely cheap prices. I walked out with 6 pieces of clothes and a purse for only $ 22! The employees are really nice too. The only downfall is that there’s no fitting room. If you go, make sure to wear thin clothes that you can try other stuff on top of. There needs to be one ASAP!

I would say this is a pretty good thrift store. Nothing that I’d want to go to every week, but they have a large selection of hammy downs. Since I’m picky, there really hasn’t been anything much I could find for my self here. However for my parents, there is.
Everyone who worked here is pretty nice. There isn’t too much to say from my experiences here, so that’s why it’s only 3 stars. Until next time!

I’m in the mood to make a list… so here we go.
–Inexpensive… way less than Goodwill/​Salvation Army. Sweaters for under $ 3, dresses for $ 5 and under.
–Huge. Entire upstairs is devoted to the kiddos.
–They take credit cards.
–Small parking lot behind the store plus plenty of street parking.
–Smallish section of housewares/​bric-​à-​brac… it’s mostly clothing here.
I found a vintage cardigan, an Xmas sweater vest, and some suede shorts… $ 7 for all. Not a lot of vintage here but definitely worth a stop if you’re nearby.

I went to Goodwill earlier in the morning to only see how expensive they have gotten. Who is seriously going to pay $ 6.00 for a shirt someone has sweated in for who knows how long? You get shirts brand new at that price at Ross! Annoyed at the prices there, I looked for another shop and found this one. I needed sweaters for a sewing project and was happy to find several for really cheap. Most were under $ 2.00 while Goodwill’s were a flat $ 5.99 each and were not going to be on sale till winter. You’d think summer is when you’d like to have them on sale to get some out the door.
Go to this place. Don’t waste time at Goodwill. I got 4 sweaters today for the price of one over there. The selection is HUGE and it’s arranged very well.

I love the store they have a bunch of cool random stuff in the store. They also accept all major credit cards BUT they don’t have fitting rooms and they do not accept exchanges… how am I suppose to know something fits me right
I love to go to thrift stores looking for work pants but if I can’t try them on to see if they fit me right then what’s the point.
Pros:

–clothes are separated by sizes (saves a lot of time)

Cons:
— No fitting rooms
— Do not allow exchanges, all final sale
Parking is in the back

A friend and I go thrift store shopping once a week or so. We usually go for the odd sundries we find.
This store we actually buy clothes at. For me that is saying alot.
A good clean store with good prices.
Also if pressured, the sales clerk will give thier honest opinion on how you look in potential purchases.

This is by far my favorite thrift store near CSUN. The prices are always reasonable, and the selection here is pretty great. Out of the 5 times I have been here, I have only walked away empty handed once. Also a good place to shop for extra goodies for a DIY costume.
Some notables I have bought:
–Purple dress from urban outfitters, 2.99 (half off that day, good thing!)
–Camel colored blazer that fits perfectly, 1.99 (half off that day, woohoo!)
–red high waisted shorts for a costume, .99
–Men’s J Crew sweater, 3.99 (they tend to have GREAT men’s sweaters around feb/​march!!)
–Orange silk top, 1.99
–ALMOST bought a vintage D&B bag, but not enough cash ($ 18, pricey, but still a good deal)

Came here after work yesterday since it was only a few miles away.
Free parking is behind the store (metered parking out on front on Sherman Way). This place is located right across from the Wells Fargo Bank.
This store has a TON of clothes… although there are some knic knacs of drink glasses, vases and such, the main thing they have there are the clothes.
Pricing here seemed very reasonably priced (maybe even cheaper for some clothing items that I saw that is cheaper than other thrift stores I’ve been too).
I didn’t buy anything here this trip, but will have to come back and see if there is anything that really catches my eye (but the thing is that I usually come to thrift shops looking for particular things and then occasionally come home with some things that I wasn’t intended to buy).
Overall, clean store, very large selection of both men and woman clothing and would come back.

Price:
Last I checked this is one of the few places still charging actual thrift store prices. Nothing annoys me more than going into an ugly thrift shop and seeing a used «forever twenty-​one» shirt for more than it would cost to get it new at the actual store. And just because it looks vintage doesn’t mean you can charge vintage prices. Of all of the valley thrift stores this one is the least expensive (for what you can find).
Selection:
Large selection of mostly women clothes and shoes. They also have other items such as purses, men’s, books, etc. Like any thrift store, there are plenty of junk But there are treasures here for very very low prices. I always find one or two items. The best part is that items are almost always in decent (some almost new) condition.
Space:
The store is pretty big. Don’t bother with the upstairs unless you’re actually looking for children’s clothes and very used books. Look through the jeans for some great brands for very low prices. Sometimes you can find a fairly new and good quality pair of shoes for less than $ 10.
Not the most clean or organized of stores but it’s not chaotic or disgusting. In fact they have color coordinated most items and have prices on almost everything so it makes looking around easier.
Misc.:
There are NO fitting rooms so know your size before you come in. They have some mirrors so you can always put the dress/​shirt/​blazer etc over your clothes.
They do not accept returns so be sure before you take it home.
They are closed on Sundays because this is a christian charity. At least you know your money is going to help other people.
On Saturdays the lines can get pretty long so come during the week if you can.
There is free parking in the back. That’s also where they take your donations.

A blouse, banana republic jacket, guess leather jacket, and purse for $ 15 all in near perfect condition! This place is huge and worth checking out.
