We have been going to this pediatric dental practice for five years. My boys really enjoy going, friendly office staff, play area with video games, lots of toys, truly a great atmosphere. They even have TVs placed on the ceiling right above the patient chair… great distraction for a nervous child. Dr. Kalantar is very gentle, attentive and understanding of my boys comfort. She has always given us the best advise and useful take aways of how to keep my little guys on the no cavity list. After every visit the doctor rewards each brave patient with a gold token for a special vending toy as we leave. Awesome from beginning to end.

I took my son here last week. He is almost three years old and it was his first dental visit. I was worried that he might be freaked out or have a melt-down out of fear. The whole process went so smooth and so fast, I was impressed! When we arrived(5 min late), they didn’t seem to mind and gave Mason a sticker just for showing up. After that they quickly escorted us to his room and they took an awesome picture of him for his first dental visit. After that the technician came in and talked to my son and he was very responsive. He sat in the«big boy chair» and let her brush his teeth. He didn’t cry or whine or scream at all. Then she gave him a balloon and the dentist came in. The dentist looked at his teeth for about 1 minute and the whole thing was done! The play room is super awesome too. Highly recommend!

Dr Kalantar and all of the staff here are AMAZING! My 2yo fell and injured 6 teeth. As a result, we’ve had many visits to the dentist in the past few months. Even though she ended up having to pull 2 of the teeth last week, my daughter still loves going to the dentist and actually looks forward to it! The office has a great feel — it is fun and welcoming. They have toys and games in the waiting room plus every seat has cartoon movies playing overhead as a distraction. Everyone is incredibly nice — and clearly know how to keep a kid calm. My daughter loves to brush the teeth of the stuffed animals they have in some rooms. Plus… As soon as we see the building, she yells«balloons!!!» as she knows she can get a fun animal print balloon at the end. I wish there were dentist offices around like this when I was a kid.

The BEST Pediatric Dentistry in Northern VA. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my child. Beautiful facility that caters to kids of all ages. Game room while you wait… watch movies during cleaning and X-rays, then walk away with a goodie bag and a gift of your choice. The dental assistants are gentle and thorough. The Physician is patient and informative. Overall I’m happy we found this place.

My four-year-old daughter has now been to Dr. Neda four times, three times for regular teeth cleanings and then today to get fillings for the two cavities that they discovered at the last check-up. Dr. Neda and her staff are phenomenal! Everyone is very kind and gentle, and they explain exactly what they’re doing in a way that kids can understand. All kids are rewarded with a small prize like a tattoo right after the cleaning, and then Dr. Neda gives them a token when they leave to be redeemed in the prize machines in the waiting area(the waiting area itself is a bright and fun place to play). At today’s appointment, Dr. Neda set my daughter at ease immediately, and once she was set up with headphones so that she could watch«Tangled» on a TV on the ceiling, the doctor and her assistant immediately got to work. They gave her a little bit of laughing gas through a bubblegum scented and brightly colored nose piece, and were then able to quickly and painlessly give her a local anesthetic. The whole filling experience went so smoothly and lasted only about a half hour, and my daughter never even shed a tear. Afterwards, Dr. Neda brought her a sugar-free popsicle to help with the numbing feeling, as well as a balloon and two tokens instead of the usual one for the prize machines because she was a such a brave girl. No wonder my kid likes going to the dentist! I’m happy she’s happy, and I also love that Dr. Neda has done so much volunteer work with Operation Smile, performing hundreds of child dental surgeries overseas. If you have kids and live in the Reston area, definitely give this practice your business!

I have been taking my three kids ages 9,8, and 5 to Dr. Neda since she opened her office 8 yrs ago. Every six months on the dot we drive from Potomac to Reston to see Dr. Neda and her wonderful staff. She is professional and friendly. Takes her time to go over every question and my kids love her. My daughter actually asks to go to the safari office, get token for a prize and have her nails done! This is an office that raises the bar for all pediatric medical services. Looking forward to visiting you guys in 5 months and thank you for the wonderful service you provide!

I really like this dentist and her office staff. They are friendly, though of course in a rush like all places. However, you rarely wait to be seen which is nice with impatient kids. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because they do not clean your teeth with the more modern and high pressure water cleaning system. they use the old scratch and suction. I understand on the younger ones, but not the teens who need it. Especially when they have all adult teeth and post braces. The ortho in the office did not seem as knowledgeable as I have came across. Hence, we did not use him for braces.

I found this practice online after searching for a pediatric dentist for my 2 year old. I HATE the dentist with a passion and wanted him to have a better experience than I did. There were a lot of great reviews online, so I went for it. I had my husband take my son so he wouldn’t feel my tension, and he did great. According to my husband, he loved the safari themed waiting room, and the dentist and hygentist were awesome. He can be very stubborn but had no problems letting them examine his teeth, and even received his first flouride treatment without a peep. He woke up the next morning asking to go back, LOL. Awesome!
