I think Popeyes lost their focus just like most fast food places. I haven’t been to a Popeyes in years and this was not a great experience. The chicken tasted similar to that stuff you get in freezers or at a supermarket. They had lots of chicken precooked so that probably explained why the skin just slops off the chicken. I am sure they have a great following so please continue to go. I didn’t hate the food; we just felt like having fried chicken and I spotted Popeyes from Reston Blvd. and was unimpressed. If anyone can recommend a good, old fashioned fried chicken place near Reston/Fairfax that would be great.

Literally nothing we ordered was correct thanks for the little ass wings too. So disappointed. Ordered spicy wings and didn’t even get those they are he mild ones, and I got all little wings. Thanks a lot! Our sides were wrong as well ordered rice and mash potatoes got French fries. Worst experience ever and I will never recommend this location!

You cannot beat the chicken sandwich — it’s pretty much the only thing I get. It’s a good sandwich at a reasonable price. But 1 question: why do they have garbage containers facing the wrong way? lol

My step daughter and I came here an hour before close on Monday. The food was great and so was the service. The reason they get one star is because, while cleaning the employees used very inappropriate language. They spoke in Spanish, and as all young kids, my daughter knew exactly what they were saying. I spoke to the cashier about it and told him to please have the staff watch their language, but nothing changed. They continued. Will not be coming back here, since it’s an inappropriate place to bring children.

Popeyes is still open despite the mess of construction happening around it! It’s tucked away from the road and therefore difficult to see if you don’t know it’s still open. I’ve come here for lunch a handful of times because it’s close to my work. Service is fast, food is as expected.

The guy who said is a manager Alfredo. Needs to be fired. He had a complete attitude with me and my cousin. And also got his order wrong and also got an attitude when he obviously asked for mashed potatoes and tried to use the receipt as proof. He needs to be fired. SERIOUSLY and I’m calling corporate also.

Did you know that the apple empenada’s here at Popeyes are basically the same thing as the old school McDonalds apple pies? The ones that were deep fried and were totally completely awesome? The ones you can’t get anymore at McDonalds? The only difference is the put some sugar and cinnamon on the empanadas which only makes it BETTER, You need to get your ass down here and get some of those apple pies right now!

Been to several Popeyes and am so glad that this one is in my area. Service is always good and chicken is tasty. Seems they actually care about the job they do. Keep it up.

I have eaten at many Popeyes locations in many areas, but this location remains one of my favorites. I am always greeted and my food is always made quickly, but fresh ! My one disappointment is there is not a drive-thru.It is pretty packed during weekdays lunch time, so be prepared to stand in line for a few minutes. I consider it worth the wait.

The place is very clean. I am super impressed with that. The guy at the counter is super courteous. I recommended coming here and I’ll be back next time I’m around this way wanting some awesome chicken. I love their spicy everything. I wish they sold chicken livers tho :-(

I really appreciate the friendly staff who have been here for several years. My usual is the shrimp with their Cajun rice side. Most folks are here for the chicken and I always see regulars who must eat here weekly or even more often. The shrimp is almost always fresh cooked and tasty good, never overly greasy. The biscuit is also fresh. The cajun«dirty» rice is as good as ever. There is adjacent parking but no drive thru. If you are not a local, there is a SevenEleven(7-Eleven) convenience store just across the parking lot. Friendly service, outstanding cleanliness, and the best food that a fast food place can serve. … Fast food just doesn’t get any better, imo.

I walked here from my hotel and had the most amazing spicy chicken meal ever! It was soooo delicious. I don’t even care for fried chicken that much and I ate it all. This place isn’t sketchy at all. It’s in the back of the sheraton and the westin and a business building… popeye’s are known to be in sketchy neighborhoods. It has that«regular people» feel which I appreciate being a Baltimore girl which is why some ppl probably thought it was sketchy. I came here around lunch time and it was primarily blue collar patrons probably because there are not really any affordable options in reston. Service was lovely. A 3 piece with 2 sides and a biscuit with a coke cost me about $ 8.50 and my stomach was quite appreciative.

I ate here on a Sunday due to a bad shrimp dinner craving I’d been having. Shrimp dinners are usually on the pricier side and hard to find without going to a classy joint, and I just wanted a cheap, yummy fast shrimp dinner. Popeyes delievered on that front! It was good and hot and stayed hot a long time. They had strawberry soda, yummy! Biscuit was better than KFC. Cole slaw had relish in it I think, or some foreign thing I don’t care for in slaw. the place was very clean, probably one of the cleaner restaurants I’ve visited in Reston. Just because someone said this area is sketchy at night, I am totally going there one night just to see what happens. This is not a very sketchy neighborhood.

Chicken was cold. Same problem with the store on Centerville Rd. I went to both places back to back in search of acceptable chicken and didnt find it at either place. When I asked how long the chicken had been out, they said 15 minutes. There’s no way that the center got as cold as it did in 15 minutes. The outside was acceptable and the center was room temperature. Disgusting. In contrast, we also ordered chicken nuggets which they had us wait 4 minutes for — they made them fresh so I know for a fact that my senses arent off. It seems to be their standard procedure to refry their regular chicken and let it sit under the heat lamp and serve it cold in the middle and hot on the outside.

Over price shot one star out of the frame. for 2 person a few dollar less than $ 20, that pull you out, and go to Chilli near by. The best thing for this hole in the wall is super clean, even in the kitchen, you don’t see white spot of flour on the work station, soda station no sticky syrup, love this. One more thing, Spicy chicken is the best in this area, more spice and juicy.

I called and asked if they were closed. The lady just said«Ten». I then asked what their hours were on the weekend. She responded with a dial tone. Best. Customer Service experience. Ever. Alas, it’s friggin Popeyes. They have only have our low expectations to fulfill. As for the location. It’s secluded, not«sketchy». This is Reston not Compton. All the malls are secluded because they were designed that way – so as not to be intrusive eye sores. Don’t get cocky Popeyes. When I get a cravin’ I know KFC has more seasonings and a spices.

Haha, I can’t believe someone said this area was sketchy. It’s not. There’s a golf course across the street, dude. In fact, this Popeyes is better than average. Generally, in a Popeyes, you sit around and watch while 4 or 5 employees stand in the back and do nothing while you wait ten minutes for your chicken. At this Popeyes, you sit around and watch 2 or 3 employees stand in the back and do nothing, and you only have to wait five minutes for your chicken. I’d call that progress, ladies and gentlemen. I can’t give any Popeyes more than 3 stars because it is so goddamn expensive. If you can’t track down a decent coupon, this place breaks the bank for fast food. The red beans and rice are to die for, but for 3.99? No thanks.

When I was your age, Buy 11 Pieces Get 11 Pieces Free used to be 11.99… That’s how long I’ve been loving Popeyes. That said, all Popeyes should get at least a 3 Star rating from me, but this place is sketch. The inside is big and clean, but the outside is the scary part. At night, this place is a prime spot for getting mugged. I’m pretty sure a robbery happened here within the past two months. The nearest lighting source is way too far away from the parking spots, and the brightest light source is the 7-Eleven across from it. But I still go here anyway because I love my ONIONRINGS(tip: always ask them to fry them longer than usual) and my CAJUNTURKEY! But if I were you, I wouldn’t come here at night alone… without a taser gun… and balls of steel.

I love fried chicken. I love it so much I can eat it almost every day. I’ve eaten at this Popeye’s so many times because it’s close to the office and so delicious. Walking in the front door isn’t too pleasant because the dumpster and the oil/grease container is right there leaving a rank stench before you chow down but whatever, I’m a trooper. If I wanted to smell flowers, I’d go to the damn garden. I came to get my fried chicken on! The spicy chicken is where it’s at. I’m usually lucky to get it fresh because it’s usually so packed during lunch. Cajun rice is pretty $$$ too! Don’t forget to ask for hot sauce :)
