Rent-A-Tool

Nice family run business, excellent selection of tools and courteous staff!
They’ve been in business since the 50s and really know their stuff. They aren’t trying to woo you with fancy gimmecks and decorations. Just getting the stuff you need for you job with a knowledge staff!

I don’t have much experience with power tools and these people didn’t make it easy at all to get what I wanted.
All I got was smug remarks, and rude and uncourteous treatment. They made fun of my lack of knowledge without actually knowing what was going on.
I walked out without renting anything.
I will never return to this place and I don’t recommend that anyone goes there either.

OK so i called 2 days in advance to make a reservation, on the day i set up to pick up the guy at the counter looker at me and said i thought you were coming sooner. Also i asked to have a diamond blade with the cut all saw for the work being done. instead they sold me cheap blades that wear down really fast… couldn’t finish the work and had to return the tool.
I have used grand rental in the past they are much more organized and they DID NOT make me read a manual for a tool i know how to use. Normally to pick up a rental tool it takes about 15 mins this took about 50 mins, Then the pull cord to start the gas saw would not return. Another hour wasted for them to fix it. Not to mention 3 trips there. DONT GO HERE ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

I really wanted to give them a good review, but I just can’t. Seriously, its a tool we are renting, and it took longer to pick it up than it does to buy a house.
They were really friendly and they had the tools we needed which is awesome, I will give it that but everything else was lacking. It was like walking into 1970, but with computers from the 80s. The whole process was just painfully slow. It took about 35 minutes to pick up a reserved tool, and apparently everything is done manually, as we used to do in the 80s before computers. Except with the printer that has those holes on the edges… see I don’t even know what thats called anymore!
Anyways. We had reserved a tool. Arrived at the time we said we would and it just took forever. We told them that one of us needs to be in Boston so please lets hurry it up. So much paper pushing, literally, paper, so many file cabinets filled with stuff that they had to keep going back and forth to, fold this paper and that one, then print, but try to clear the jam because the holes weren’t lined up. I
Please organize yourselves better, upgrade to at least the mid 1990s and I would love to come back, but til then… Methinks not.
