*Soap Box On* It is not under any circumstances food poisoning if your stomach was hurting before you got in your car… or before you left the parking lot. Do not get on Unilocal and bitch some place made you sick without a 6+ hour time frame, as there is not a food-borne illness that exists with less than a 6 hour incubation period. *Soap Box Off* Apparently this restaurant changed hands sometime around the end of May. My co-worker and I ventured in here for lunch around 11am on Wednesday, June 17th. This timing is critical information. All the patrons sitting around us where praising the new owner and talking about how good the food was. My co-worker whispered to me… «is there something wrong with me? Everyone is saying how good this is and I’m just a little confused.» There was nothing wrong with her. the food was just not all that. I am going to commit my #1 pet-peeve on this website. «This place made me sick.» This is why our 11am lunch time was important information. Now, I am going to explain why I am allowing myself to commit this Unilocal Pet-Peeve. We ate there at 11am… I got sick at 6:30pm. This is a large enough window to be considered Food Poisoning… as verified by my doctor after multiple tests of samples of stuff that flew out of my body in all directions. I was only able to keep down Gatorade after 36 hours. And didn’t eat anything out of the(Bread, Rice, Applesauce, Toast, Ginger Tea) nausea category until SUNDAY. I lost TEN pounds in FOUR days. If you need to drop some weight in a hurry(and don’t mind hugging the toilet and collecting samples for your doctor.)… eat here. If not, go somewhere else.

Located in a strip center with a few other places, like Casa Milagro and Joe’s Pizza, you would almost never notice this place. In fact, until recently, they didn’t even have a sign. Currently, the sign just says«Greek Buffet». Don’t let this turn you off, though — it is good Mediterranean food at cheap prices. This place is close to my office and I go for lunch at least once every couple of months. The quality is consistent and the staff friendly. There is a good assortment of options, including 2 – 3 salads, hummus, several main dishes and sides, pita, and 1 – 2 desserts. For an all-you-can-eat $ 7.95 lunch buffet, I don’t think you can beat it. Even at twice the price, it is a steal.

This Mediterranean restaurant, originally Lebanese, has been repositioned as Greek. Because it’s all pretty much the same, really. The buffet is sensible and tasty. While it’s not the full repertoire of Mediterranean food — that would be impossible — there are some memorable dishes.
