I go here a lot for good quality food and coffee. Atmosphere is ok except the tables around me hadn’t been bussed and there was hardly anyone here. They got my order wrong but was able to correct her in time. Went to grab coffee and both containers were completely empty. Eventually they were refilled. Food remained under the heat lamp with no one even glancing at it for a good 5 – 10 minutes. Got told to wait a second when I asked for my sandwich. What can I say? Crap customer service this time. Food’s decent.

Nothing too special about this place but the atmosphere is pretty comfortable. A nice area to study for awhile with enough available outlets. Their wifi goes out sometimes. They have a wide selection of desserts to choose from and I like their coconut cake slice. They always have complementary jam and bread pieces. Also, a very nice hot cup of chai for winter days.

This is probably the grossest location I’ve been too. I went to grab lunch and every table was dirty and some lady who worked here was just walking around like she had nothing to do. I asked 2 people to help me clean my table and had to end up cleaning it myself before they started to clean it. Worst experience for a la Madeline… so disappointed. Last time I come here!

I have only been to La Madeline once but I had a friend that wanted to come here for their chicken pesto, so I opted in. The service was quick and they are friendly. The food was pretty fresh and quite delicious! They also offer free bread and butter! Which I love! 4 stars due to pricing. Our meal came out to about $ 35.00.

Having never been to a LaMadeleine, I was excited to experience this with my daughter. Upon entry, it is confusing. Do you order your pastries, or salad, oh what there is a menu? Lona, the manager helped ua through the process. She rocks!

Food is great but the to-go line is ridicules. I could have eaten in for the time it took to get my to-go order!

Fire one of the cashiers him and the salad girl are always talking and not paying attention to customers. I always have to wait or ask one of the other employees to check me out. Do la Madeline a favor kid and quit!

Nice patio outside, and plenty of tables inside. Honestly, I’m not even sure why I bothered reviewing La Madeleine. It’s a Dallas chain — and they do prepare the food well. I had the chicken friand with mushroom sauce with a cappuccino and it was exactly what I needed. And this is why I do like La Madeleine. There’s a dearth of cafes that have a wide selection of savory bites and a coffee menu, with free wi-fi, good-looking desserts(fruit tarts, mousse) to choose from, and a cozy atmosphere. And then you have the smattering of French goodies like crepes, quiches, etc. How do you think La Madeleine became a chain in the first place? And everything is pretty affordable too! Maybe this place doesn’t get much love, but the love it gets is well deserved. Thank you La Madeleine.

Pretty good stuff. First impression was that the place was a little cramped and confusing. I had never been to a La Madeline before and I was a bit confused if I was supposed to sit down and order or walk up and order… turns out I was supposed to read the menu in the small little entry area and then order from the girl standing there, go through the line if you got a soup or salad, get drinks, silverware, napkins, etc… and then sit down with your number to wait for your food. I got a side salad with my entrée and didn’t realize I was supposed to get it first. The waiter got it for me when I asked and told me I was supposed to get it first. Just not a great ordering experience. Other than that, food is great, I forget the name of it, but I got the plate that has the chicken, shrimp, rice & veggies, with a Caesar salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Cozy kind of atmosphere. I would return, just ready for the strange ordering experience…

I love this place and decided it was weird that my husband has never been so I took him for dinner. The food was delicious. I had a half sandwich and half pasta. It was quite tasty. My husband had a chicken dish with rice and veggies and he was impressed. I like that you get free bread and jam, it was a nice treat while waiting for dinner. We also got a lemon pie to go and it tasted pretty great. It was a little pricey so definitely can’t eat here too often but you are paying for the quality so no complaints from me. I can’t wait to eat here again.

I usually come here for the pastries and not so much of the food. They have a variety of pastries and my all time favorite is the fruit tart. The service here is fair, there’s not a lot of greeting, not a lot of help, etc. When it comes to their food, they have good pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches. So, in other words, come here for lunch… Not for dinner. Everything else I’ve tried I have not been a big fan of. Tip: Do not order water from the fountain, buy water bottles if you want water. Why? I have no idea but an employee told me that. If an employee told me that… Hell, I’ll stay away from their fountain water.

La Madeleine is my favorite place to eat at when I want something nicer than fast food but also want the convenience of fast food. I love the croissant sandwiches and the pastas, and whenever I come here I always have to buy a pack of 6 mini dessert tarts for $ 10. Something that a lot of people don’t know is that they have a UTD student discount, so take advantage of that!

I love la madeline! I get the same thing almost every time. Chicken Caesar salad with pecans and extra croutons with a cup of potato soup, my usual. The atmosphere is nice like any other la madeline. The service isn’t as friendly as the one I use to go to often in Arlington. I like this location because it’s close to UTD. It’s convenient for me. Of course, free wifi. I come to this location frequently now.

I’ve been going to this location for years! Can’t believe I am know Unilocaling about it. Anyways I had the tomato basil soup and bread. The soup was good and wasn’t as salty as it is sometimes. I love dipping the bread into the soup and buttered bread is better. Since many have had their soup I won’t Unilocal too much about it. I am a fan of La Madeline on some occasions. Especially on a rainy day when you want to soup. Try having a cup of soup and some bread. I said some because I know how tempting it is to have more. Bön Appetit!

I did not have a pleasant experience here. The food was only slightly warmer than room temperature, the sausage tasted like it had been rolled in an ashtray, and the potato galette had clearly sat a while. I will be unlikely to go again.

Fun place to be but not good for big groups since the do not like for you to move the tables unlike other locations so I took one star off for that because if you have a group of 8 or more then you have to sit at different tables a little hard to communicate(and other locations this was never an issue . To check our took a while of me standing there just to get my tea but staff is friendly and there are a lot of them but not everyone can be a cashier.

I’ve been going to this La Madeleine for years and years. Always had a good experience here, even if sometimes the to go service is painfully slow. As with all of the other La Madeleine’s, the food is tasty. Petite Caesar salad and a cup of tomato basil soup? Yes please! Plus, the tasty, tasty bread and jam. Mmm. This is back to being the closest La Madeleine to me, so I know I’ll be back frequently, especially when the weather cools down. Get a spot next to the fireplace, bring a book, and eat some tasty soup.

This is actually covering two visits to this location. The first one we went tot he bakery and ask for soem fruit tarts. Was told to come back around 11AM and there would be some. Showed up at the appointed time and NOTARTS. Talked with the clerk who denied stating the tarts would be there at 11AM. Talked with the manager who made a substitution and apologized. We were not charged for the tarts. Went back this morning for breakfast. Four of us. The restaurant was almost empty. Ordered the American Breakfast, two scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato and baguette. delivered to the table as per my order. My spouse and two other ordered the oatmeal. Was told there was none ready and it would take some time. Now this is 8:30AM for a restaurant that opened at 6:30AM, two hours ago. They substituted their choices. Ordered coffee and they serve coffee in one of those thermos pots. Got one cup before it went empty. Advised the clerk who advised they would have to make some and it would be a few minutes. Now I would like to ask — does this seem like a well run operation???

The desserts look FANTASTIC. The fruit tart is delicious. –Tomato Bisque: A little too sour for my taste. –French Onion: Not bad, not the best. –Chicken Provence: Subtract the chicken and replace with tomato, mushrooms, & spinach(they were out of the veggie sandwich) and it tastes great(half-size is too small as it can be eaten in 3 bites) –Balsamic Chicken & Pesto — Great presentation –Caesar Salad: Pretty middle of the road –Chocolate Croissant: A little dry, needs more chocolate. A nice little place to get a fresh meal but more expensive than expected for a fast casual.
