It was a positive experience in the beginning as the young man that took my order was very energetic and friendly. The problem came when they made me wait 12 minutes for an order of fries and a tiny sandwich. There are older grown men that work at this store who seem to serve no actual service function. I assume these grown men are manager types but I saw no managing, but did see poor service, and mediocre food served. Plus I swear that these grown ass men where hooking up the«regulars» with food before serving the rest of us poor slobs. The store is tiny and nobody wiped any tables during those long 12 minutes. This might be the absolute worst Arby’s in Richmond. Don’t get me wrong, I wont oust a restaurant due to one bad service(unless it was really bad). I’ve been to this Arby’s 4 times in as many years and 3 of those experiences were poor(same complaint).

This Arby’s is around the corner from my office so I tend to pop in once every week or two. A few things to know before you go: 1. It’s tiny, and the bathrooms are outside. 2. There is no drive-thru. 3. Service can be painfully slow at lunchtime. And 4. It’s a «Richmond Arby’s» so you won’t find the normal Arby’s menu here… instead, it’s this weird sort-of-Arby’s, sort-of-not hodgepodge of expensive turkey and steamed broccoli with some way overpriced roast beef sandwiches thrown in because they have to. Service is generally pleasant and the restaurant is consistently clean, but they tend to only have one or two people taking orders during the peak lunch rush. Combined with almost no sense of urgency behind the counter, be prepared to wait. I haven’t been for dinner so I don’t know how well they handle that crowd. The food is always fresh, so that’s a plus, but for the price it needs to be. TIP: If you want real Arby’s Sauce, ask for the packets. The stuff in the bottles, known locally as «Richmond Sauce» is pretty bad.

The manager makes this an amazing location. He greeted me with a smile, examined an Arby’s deluxe to me, offered me options. I even watched him bring drink refills out to some patrons. Wearing a smile the whole time. He enjoys his job, likes he patrons. Great food, to boot.

This Arby’s hovers beteween a 4 and 5, the difference being if I’m still medicated after the dentist. Everything get an extra star after the dentist. The food is always fresh, cooked well, and consistent. The employees seem more genuine than typical fast food restaurants. it’s clean and doesn’t feel artificial. All around, if you need to eat fast food, this is the place to be! Arby’s is almost always awesome, it just gets a little more«awesome-er» as you get farther away from the city.

This Arbys used to be my go-to spot because it’s literally down the road from my house. However, the staff has been the same for years and they have all seemed very rude, disconnected, and frustrated each time I’ve come in lately. I simply asked to upgrade the drink to one of their custard milkshakes and the lady said, «YEAH, but youre gonna have to pay for it.» And I just said«okay thats fine» very confused because I thought it was known that paying for my order was part of the process. Like I said the majority of the staff has remained the same for years and even their best employees seem to be slipping. Food quality is only average.

This arbys is pretty good. Not very busy and the workers always seem very helpful and welcoming. The place was also neat and organized and my food was served quickly. Only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because i really wish this one had a drive through.
