Sorry for the belated review! This was a stellar Elite Event, with lots of food and some stellar cookie-decorating to boot. People definitely made the most of the Halloween costume theme and I had a fun time seeing the creativity of fellow Unilocalers. While Halloween may have come and gone, I certainly won’t soon forget this awesome event. A big thanks to Lauri and to Lalo’s Cocina for the great event!

This was my first Elite event and I thought it was a blast. The craft was a blast and it was great meeting Lauri finally. The food was great!

Its was my first Unilocal elite event so I didn’t really know what to expect. I’ve been to lalos a couple of times but it was nice to try something different from my usual. It was cool that they let you bring a plus one just cause its easier to break the ice and what not. When you check in on the app you get an awasome door prize and they had a fun craft/game. Cant wait for the next one!!!

We have a problem, every event becomes my favorite event. The Day of the Dead Spooktacular at Lalo’s Cocina was perfect and did not disappoint in any way whatsoever. The steak burritos and chicken quesadillas from Lalo’s Cocina were amazing. I also really enjoyed the drinks and the salsa. The drinks were reasonably priced too, definitely felt like we got our money’s worth. The service was friendly and the restaurant itself was spotless. Lauri’s décor was cute. I’m not sure if this has been done in the past or not but Lauri has started having crafts at the Elite events, and I think it is brilliant. This month’s event was a cookie decorating contest using Red Eye cookies. The craft idea is a good thing because it keeps people entertained and gives you another opportunity to sit down with other Unilocalers and bond. Plus, the red eye cookies were on point. I may or may not have ate one while decorating a cookie. As always, can’t wait to see what Lauri comes up with for next month.

Loved this event! The food was fantastic and the red eye cookie decorating contest was a very creative idea. The prize was perfect too. Thanks for putting it all together!

I enjoyed myself! The Day of the Dead Spooktacular @ Lalo’s Cocina was excellent. My better half and I showed up in full costume. Shame there wasn’t a costume contest; I feel I would have made a strong showing. Lalo’s Cocina put on a lovely spread. We had two types of their enchiladas, chicken quesadilla, wings, taquitos, and a red wet burrito. It was all very familiar to me since I’m a regular at one of their sister restaurants: The Patron. It’s always nice to chat with fellow Unilocal regulars Katie and Leah. Lauri, as always, is a wonderful host. What else can I say? Pacifico was on draft and the Margaritas were on point! The wait staff are total angels. — Unilocal Elite 2015 —
