Elliot Tire — I have too many good things to say! I’ll keep it to the point: excellent, friendly service at good prices. It’s everything I was looking for in a repair shop; after dealing with the same person for 30 years in New York, I was worried that finding someone I could trust would be difficult. No more worries. If I’m still driving in 30 years, I’ll still be a loyal, satisfied customer.

I got a quote for my auto work from several different locations and this place was about 25% cheaper than all other options. I decided to drive out of my way to this location and it was well worth it. The owner Jay was very friendly and honest with his pricing. He even noted that my battery was leaking and I should still be under warranty from the original place I purchased it from.

I’m a DIY kind of guy for most things. When you meet someone you trust enough to pay to work on your car, when you generally DIY, that’s special.
This place is legit, best shop-​side manor ever.

Elliot Tire is hands down the best auto experience I’ve ever had. The staff is incredibly knowledgable, honest, and all around enjoyable to be around. The owner, Jay, is clearly passionate about what he does and works hard to create relationships with his customer. Most importantly they work to educate the consumer; a true sign of a good business. They are fairly priced and upfront about costs.
Plus they have games available well you wait! And loaner cars if I’m not mistaken.
Go here you won’t regret it.

Great shop. Jay (owner) is extremely passionate about vehicles and about his shop. He’s engaged in everything and actually does everything to make sure the job is 100% right at fair pricing. Not pushy but thorough in their work. Also honest which is huge in this field. And I’ve never come across a small independent repair shop that (if you schedule ahead of time) has loaners available that include a lineup of high performance vehicles that include /​/​M BMW’s and S-​type Audis.

So i used to go to another place closer to my house for convenience. When i got an outrageous estimate for rear brakes i decided to call aroud. Thanks to Unilocal and the great reviews, i found this place. Not only were they cheaper for the brakes but they offered me a cold beer while i waited. I think you will be happy with the work and the customer service is awesome. I will be taking my cars here from now on. Ps they have a new gaming system with all the old school arcade games to play while you wait. It wasn’t working as of 9÷4÷15 but i was told it will be running soon.

This is one of the few auto shops I have ever been to where I felt like the staff genuinely cared about helping me and my car. Every time I have been there, they remember who I am and are right on top of any issue my car may be having. They have even gone so far as to provide me with a loaner car to drive while mine was in the shop and given me rides to work!

Elliott Tire is amazing! I was given amazing service by Kitt when seeking information on a bad wheel bearing. Kitt and the team at Elliott explained the entire process and were very fairly priced. I was more than satisfied with the work done to my car and the service. The team even surprised me by detailing my car. By far the best service i have ever received. It is clear that the team at Elliott truly cares about its customers. Thanks guys you’re amazing

Rockstar mechanic shop. After sixteen years in Richmond I have finally found a good mechanic! (And shop– that’s just as important). After I hit a pothole the size of a small swimming pool I damaged my rim and bubbled the tire– it looked really bad. I called the shop and Kit was really helpful with advice. They are close to where I work so I went on down to have them look at it.
I have specialty tires so I was totally floored when Kit called a couple hours later saying he had tracked one down for me– I honestly did not expect the car to be back up for a couple days. They also found and fixed a nail in my rear tire!
Long story short– I went in without an appointment when they were very busy and needing a special tire and they had me out same day. And the price was very fair. I know exactly what those tires cost and I feel like I got a great deal.
Especially after the last experience I had with a different garage, I will say these folks know how to treat their customers. They even gave me a ride back down the street to work. I’ll be going there for everything from now on.

I was in town to buy a Subaru Forester from a local car lot. Jay was recommended by an Independent dealer from Charlottesville for a pre purchase exam. I spoke to him on the phone and he was extremely knowledgeable about the ‘subaru head gasket’ problem. He got the car in fast and was very thorough with his exam, he didn’t try to ‘oversell’ me anything. Both the men I dealt with in the front were caring and courteous, I wish they were closer to where I live, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They deserve all the business they can handle. Jay might give the entire business a better reputation!

So friendly, professional, and fairly priced. Love going to these guys. Everyone goes above and beyond with customer service. I’ve been going here since 2010 and will be sad when I leave Richmond. This place is one of a kind!

If you are looking for an auto mechanic that is 100% honest, look no further! Jay and Sid have been working on my car (s) now for 2 years, and I have yet to find any auto mechanic that knows their stuff better than these guys! They know your name by looking at you and are very professional. I moved here 2 years ago from Northern Virginia, and thought I had a good mechanic there, but as it turned out, they were only nice to my face, while ripping me off while my car was in the garage. These guys aren’t like that at all; they will make proactive recommendations, but also give you timelines and will be flexible with you, as many of us know, life happens, and not everyone plans for car repairs.

I do not know much about cars, but I know a hell of a lot about customer service and these guys crush all the competition in the Richmond area. I live in East Richmond, and it is well worth the trip out to Glen Allen to have my car serviced with these guys.
1) The guys working the front desk are not only professional, but extremely friendly and actually genuinely care about your value as a customer and a person. They remember everyone’s name by heart, and they remember details about your life. I have felt like a friend from the first moment I walked in… in fact, my friends aren’t even this friendly with me.
2) Jay walked me through exactly what was wrong with my car and explained why it was a problem and needed to be fixed. He explained my options, the pros and cons, and told me exactly what needed to be done now and what could wait. This is essential to planning your life and invaluable to making a decision.
3) I was given WAY more information by these guys than any other mechanic that I have EVER been to. Honestly, none of what he told me was to his advantage, and in fact he discouraged me from getting some of the optional work done until further down the (figurative) road.
I hope that I never have to move so that I can have these guys near me forever. It’s awesome to finally have a mechanic that I can trust!!!

I had a great experience at Elliott Tire. I am very careful with who I let handle my Mercedes CLS 500 and after I my the help and the work they did at Elliott Tire I am happy to say they can handle it. I got brakes, batteries, and tires as well as oil change from there. Best in Richimond thats for sure.
