Update: They have changed their hours and added to the menu, serving bbq most of the week instead of just the weekends. Still excellent.

So I wish I was giving a good review, because this place is right down the street from my house. So im not sure if it was that I went in later in the night close to closing, or maybe the cook had fight with his girlfriend, or the quality of product. But my $ 30 dollar meal for one was uneatible. I got the baby back ribs, which the owner suggested, I also got chicken wings, fries, potato salad, and hushpuppies, the only thing I ate was the fries and the hush puppies. The ribs HADNOMEATITSLIKE I BITEINTOTHEBONE. The little meat that was on there was tough, the fried chicken was underseasoned, and the potato salad tasted like mayonaise. The hush puppies were good, with a little hint of spice. I will not return unfortunatley because I love supporting black owned bussiness, but you gotta do yo stuff right. I would rather drive to 23rd to JJ’s. This review really does break my heart, but they gotta step it up.

Went in and got my smog done nextdoor. Couldnt avoid the L&D BBQ. Looks inviting, sometimes you go to these hole-in-the-wall BBQ shacks and they may be good, but look so seedy. Its a nice atmosphere, where I would bring family, friends, my child(if I had one), or whoever.(They have a nice flat screens I watched the game on while I was waiting btw). The service was great, on that«southern hospitality» vibe. When I got my food I told the man at the counter If it was good I’d be back. He said«Well you might aswell take a seat and just stay then. I had the catfish plate, which was very fresh. Anytime you gettin exceptionally fresh tastin fried fish, thats a place that you know cares about the quality of what they serving. The sides were good and it was reasonably priced. –Brought a piece of catfish for my mom and she took her boyfriend the next week. Just sayin SIDENOTE: The building sneeks up you, so keep your eyes open going down San Pablo Ave.
