I give it 3 almost as a sympathy vote because I’d really like something great to go in in that spot. The food was so-so. Mediocre at best maybe 3 star worthy but no more. The problem is that the place just isn’t a kitchen and health standards seem to be a low priority. I’m not going to list them all off but several times I saw the cook with bare hands go from handling raw meat to making a burrito to handling cash. Ahh… yuck.

YUMMY! Best burrito ever, with fried chicken. Omg so good. The woman makes the food in front of you and really takes her time. She is super friendly :) and open early! Totally awesome place. I want to go back for breakfast!

I really thought Oralia’s was gone forever. It was awful. I wasn’t sure what I’d do anymore with the amazing California burritos paired with a cold refreshing glass of Horchata. I tried to think of alternatives to the burrito and pupusa perfection that Oralia’s offers and came up short. Sure, I could go to San Francisco and try some super hyped burrito but it would never come close to the joy and perfection Oralia’s offers. Fortunately, Oralia’s is back in Richmond whipping up the best food around. Be sure to stop by asap before everyone else finds out!!!

We’re so happy Oralia’s relocated. It’s owner, Oralia, is gracious, skilled and generous. She’d never made a Cuban sandwich, but was familiar with the style. Using a special Nicaraguan panini bread, stuffed our Cubans with the right combo of cheese, ham, turkey, pickles and mustard, pressed them hot on a proper press and they sent flashbacks to calle ocho in Miami to me from some 30 plus years ago. My daughter and I devoured the sandwiches along with one of her fresh juices made daily. We’re looking forward to returning for another Cubano sandwich ASAP.

Oh, Oralia’s, we thought you were gone forever! Thankfully, this FANTASTIC Mexican and Salvadorian eatery has relocated about a mile north into Richmond and has _not_gone out of business. Their old landlord wouldn’t allow them to put a «WEHAVEMOVED» sign in the window, I am told, so it looks like they simply disappeared. Thankfully, they didn’t, and will soon be serving their full menu of Salvadorian and Mexican entrees, including to-die-for enchiladas, and some of the best pupusas I’ve had in this area of the East Bay. As of this writing(July 3), they don’t have their full kitchen permits, and don’t expect to be cooking full-service again for a month or so. In the meantime, they’re serving simple paninis, cuban sandwiches, tortas, etc; smoothies, agua frescas, bagels and other café fare as well. And they open at 6:00AM! Let’s hope the permits go smoothly and they start cranking out their super-fresh, home-made goodies soon. In the meantime, the bakery they share the rear kitchen with has a full compliment of sweets, too.
