Hair It IS… by Darla is River Forest’s Family Beauty Center and Day Spay! Our relaxed, shabby chic décor provides the perfect environment for our clients to enjoy a great hair and spa experience.

We specialize in cut, color and styling. Our master cut and color stylists deliver the style our clients want – whether trendy or traditional. We offer outgrowth, full color, full or partial highlights, dimensional color, block and panel. Because we focus on the family, we have services available for women, men, teens and children.

Our spa services include facials that smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while rejuvenating, revitalizing and renovating complexions with patented Ageloc Galvanic spa products.

Hair It IS… by Darla also specializes in brow, lip and cheek/​chin waxing and manicures and pedicures., including paraffin dips and eyelash extensions.

We love bridal and special occasions parties. We provide hair, styling, make up and nail services.

Established in 1982.

Hair It IS… by Darla has been a pillar of the River Forest, Oak Park, Elmwood Park, River Grove, Elmwood Park, and Forest Park communities for over three decades. We are a family-​run and oriented business focused on delivering a fantastic beauty experience to our clients. Our customers love our shabby chic décor, our complimentary glass of wine, and the results. Our staff is comprised of master stylists and colorists who aim to please our clients.

Darla has been the proprietor of Hair It IS… by Darla for over 20 years.

Darla is a licensed educator in cosmetology who feels privileged to bring her professional experience into the salon and the clientele, but also thankful for the support and following from the community throughout the years. Time, however, did not stop at Hair It IS… by Darla. Darla and her staff understand that hair and beauty is an ever-​evolving industry and pride themselves in continued education to provide the best and newest of styles!
