Alltemp Heating & Cooling

Our air conditioning went out at 6pm on a Friday night right before a weekend with temptures over 110 degrees. Our home warranty assigned Alltemp to repair our air conditioning. I thought for sure since it was a weekend with scorching heat we definitely would not get an appointment until Monday. I was wrong… I got a call from Mel early Saturday morning and he said he had a full day but would definitely fit us in because of the heat wave coming.
Mel kept his word and showed up. After looking at the furnace he determined the motor and motherboard was done. Completely understandable since our unit is over 20 years old. It was past 9 at night but Mel did not give up. He searched for hours until he found an after hours company to open their shop and get the parts. Mel came back and finished the job and even though he worked on our unit for hours and was exhausted he was very friendly.
I definitely would recommend Alltemp to anyone. I have never seen a contractor care so much about his customer. Mel could have left us boiling in our house until Monday but instead he worked well past midnight to make sure my family and me were in a cool house today.

Ok. This site needs a negative star because 1 star is giving this guy too much credit. He said he went to the wrong place on the 1^st appointment. On the 2^nd appointment, he lies to to you and can’t keep his word on when he says he has you down for an appointment one day. Then he doesn’t show up and when I called, he says he wouldn’t schedule for that day and it wasn’t him who I talked to. And gives me a whole other story. I have his calls recorded and I wish I can put them on this site. He was extremely rude when confronted by my wife and at first he even threatened to cancel our appointment, then finally, his exact words «better yet, I’m gonna cancel your appointment because I don’t want to deal with you kind of people». Mind you, we have little children and a heat wave had come. Really? what kind of people are we? Sounds racist and stereo typical if you ask me. Thank God we found another company. This won’t go unsaid, this matter needs to go to the BBB, I’m sure they would love to hear these recordings. Next stop. Stay away from this company for your family’s sake.

Provided some last minute service for my broken AC. Saved me from an upstairs area that was 86 degrees even with open windows at 10PM. Friendly and informative as well. Thanks much!

Before Valentine’s Day I had very very huge situation my flower shop in the cooler room not cool enough and that temperature not right. I know Mel who own Alltemp Repair, Air Conditioning Repair.
First, when I call him tell him about something wrong about cooler room also he came right a way check it out everything find the clue and finally that problem fix and solve.
Next, another situation my Refrigerator for keep flower too old and temperature not right also made noise too
Mel he came same night for find that problem finally he did even on that day I don ‘t have enough money to paid him both but he very kind and nice he give me invoice but to pay another Month this is not only about business it’s about Royalty

Funny thing is you wouldn’t have TALKED to me, as Mel the owner, but the person that answered the phone, –you know, the person that works for you, they told me the repairman couldn’t come out because of the football game! So, no sale! No showy uppey!
You were/​are the correct business since I used your information in the phone book where I got YOUR NUMBER in the first place!
Now you tell me there is a WRONG Alltemp? I thought I already found it! I know it wasn’t the RIGHT Alltemp! Wait for it, …oh yeah, …There isn’t one!
Needless to say, I haven’t needed that book since, for the HVAC, since a company I called after calling yours came out and fixed it quickly. I would call THEM if I ever needed anyone again, which I haven’t since they did a terrific job! Think it through Mel!
Besides, anyone that says «No way!» on the phone is someone you don’t forget when you are freezing and hoping for someone to help! Must have been some party!

Not going to waste my time writing a lengthy review on this company since I have already wasted enough time on them. Long story short they under priced to get in the door and once there of course a different quote. A little off I understand but 1200 more! Here are the exact words from the owner Mel:

Ive used alltemp htg & cooling not once not twice but about 4 different times and its hard to find someone with such a knowledge like Mel (the tech that came to my house) the dude is cool and very smart
I really dont get the rewiew i read about alltemp that the other clown had left… anyway Alltemp is a great company and their prices are very fair

Alltemp Heating & Cooling is probably the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. This review is an adaptation of a complaint I filed with the company, circa January to February 2008.
All Temp was a company my home warranty Insurance provider contracted. My warranty service had sent in a service request to All Temp regarding problems with my air conditioning, and an All Temp representative was supposed to call me within 2 business days to setup an appointment time. After a week had passed, no one had called. I called the company. They setup an appointment time (but didn’t even offer a simple apology for not contacting me, even though they confirmed that they had received a request from my Warranty service).
On the day of the appointment, they gave me a time frame from 8−10am. I had to miss a day of work, but that was not their fault. However, no one came between 8−10am. By 3pm, still no one had come. This certainly was their fault.
I called the company to ask why no one had shown up. No one was answering their phones. I called back intermittently throughout the course of about an hour and a half. Finally someone answered their phone. The representative told me there was no service request at all recorded in their system. Luckily he was the individual I had previously placed the order with, and he remembered me. He said he’d sort it out and call back «in a few minutes.» After an hour I had not received a call back.
I called them yet again and the representative said what he had already told me — there was no service request on file, even though he remembered placing one with me. He said he could get someone out there in 2 hours at the earliest. This would already be late evening now. I had lost a day of pay just so this company’s incompetence could have me sit around waiting all day (and evening).
When I explained the trouble I had had with them and indicated it would be proper customer service to get someone out here a little sooner than 2 hours, I was told I was being unreasonable. The representative then informed me he was canceling my request all together, and that it should be pursued through my warranty service going further, not through them.
He then hung up on me.
I called back to speak to a manager, and not surprisingly, no one answered. I left a voicemail. Unfortunately I missed the manager’s call back, but he left a message letting me know that «under the circumstances» there was nothing they could do for me… even though the circumstances were such that THEY made a mistake that made me lose an entire day with nothing to show for it.
Eventually, my warranty service was able to get an All Temp representative to my home very late that evening (I was advised against using a different contractor of my warranty service’s since All Temp was «the most reliable»). They determined that I needed new equipment and they had it ordered. They told me they would be back on either the following Monday or Tuesday morning. By Monday afternoon, they had not come (which was okay since we didn’t set in stone whether it would be Monday or Tuesday), and I decided to call them to confirm that they would be coming out on Tuesday. They informed me that they would not be coming out, as the part they ordered had come, but was damaged and had to be reordered. I understood that this was not their fault, but they had absolutely no intention of calling me to tell me this (by their own admission). Frustrated, but trying to be understanding after yet another setback, I scheduled with them to come out on a Friday morning. More work had to be taken off for this day.
I was told they would be there that Friday between 8am-​12pm. Once again, THEY DID NOT SHOW UP! After contacting them once again, they insisted I had never set up another appointment with them, that there was nothing in their system. I was beyond frustrated at this point, since this seems to be their standard response when they make a mistake; blame the customer for their company’s incompetence.
Finally they came out the following Monday (yet another day of work had to be missed) and installed the new equipment. This of course, was after losing pay and time off from my job, countless headaches and frustration, and a damaged business relationship. I can safely say I will never do business with All Temp again.
Clearly this is not an isolated incident, as 3 of the four appointments I had with them were cancelled without me receiving notification from them. Others must certainly have had similar problems.
Avoid this company at all costs, they have no concern for their customers, they’re extremely rude, and absolutely incompetent.
