Your wedding IS your ceremony. Think about that for a minute. All of this work and time and money you are spending is to celebrate what you two do during the ceremony — exchanging vows to officially declare your marriage. So then shouldn’t your wedding reflect who you are?

Let’s Get Married SoCal is my labor of love. I love people and I love big moments in people’s lives. It is the best feeling in the world to get to the heart of an experience and help you live it in a way that feels completely authentic. If you’re not having fun or finding meaning in your experience, what’s the point?!

As an ordained nondenominational minister, I’m not beholden to a specific set of religious rites. Instead, I’m proud to serve couples of all walks of life and am a proud LGBTQ advocate. My job is to make sure you have everything you need physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally to do what you are putting so much time, energy, and money into planning: marrying the love of your life!

History

Established in 2011.

Minister Marie created Let’s Get Married SoCal to meet the needs of couples getting married to make their wedding ceremony about them instead of the officiant. From the beginning, our mantra has been «Your ceremony IS your wedding, so let’s make it about you!» We are happy to approach each couple with joy and enthusiasm, leaving judgment, stuffiness, and prerequisites at the door. We’re proud to say that each ceremony we craft reflects the beliefs, styles, and personalities of the couple so it’s always a unique and personal experience.

Hi, I’m Minister Marie. I’ve been married for 11 years to the love of my life, with whom I have a rambunctious 7-​year-​old daughter. I was ordained back in 2006 and first started by officiating a friend’s wedding when I caught the officiating bug. It’s a joy and privilege to breath life into your wedding ceremony, making it a reflection of your love, personalities, beliefs, and life together.

I can’t even begin to tell you how GREAT Minister Marie is! She really took the time to get to know my new husband and myself and incorporate all of our little quirks into our ceremony. She made everything feel so special. I honestly could not envision our ceremony going any better than it did or having any other minister perform it! Every guest commented how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how personal and intimate Marie made it. I could not recommend Minister Marie enough! For anyone looking for a minister please do yourself a favor and book Minister Marie. I guarantee you will not regret it. Thank you Marie for making our day so very special!

I don’t know where to start. Minister Marie is Awesome. She worked with me for almost a year trying to get married. You see we had special circumstances my husband is in prison. She did everything needed to make sure my day went and plan, and even when things didn’t go as planned she went above and beyond to make it special. Minister Marie is truly one of a kind! We initially wanted a family member to officiant our wedding, but we didn’t want to put the pressure on them so we turned to Unilocal!We met with Minister Marie at Starbucks and immediately I knew she would be perfect for our ceremony. She has a great attitude, very friendly, well spoken and has great energy. As soon as we got home, I quickly booked her for our wedding. A month prior to our wedding, she contacted us individually and had us fill in questionnaires so she can get a sense of who we are, both individually and as a couple. We met with her again to go over our vision for the wedding as well as details on what we wanted to include. She customized our ceremony script and allowed us to make changes as needed. I think we went through 3 drafts before we got it down perfectly. She was very patient and helpful through all the changes and my random questions. The day of the wedding, she arrived early, checked on us and most importantly, delivered a wonderful ceremony. Our friends and family loved her as well!!!
She also has a great booking system. Everything is done online and email notifications and reminders are sent immediately. It seriously made the whole process easier.
Look no further and book Minister Marie for your wedding! You won’t regret it!!! We can’t THANK YOU enough!!!

Minister Marie is AWESOME! My husband and I were very fortunate to have found her, she is very professional, kind and has an awesome personality. She took the time to get to know us and listened to our vision of the ceremony. She is a wonderful writer and our ceremony was perfect and better than what I had imagined. Our guests were so impressed with her and some even asked how long we had known her for because she knew our Love Story and made it unique and personable which i have never really seen in other weddings i have attended. She arrived 30 minutes early to make sure everything was ready and some of our guests got stuck in horrible traffic so she let us start 20 minutes late to give them a chance to arrive. She even checked on me a couple of times before the ceremony to make sure I was doing ok. She is very passionate about what she does, If you are looking for someone to marry you… look no further Minister Marie is AMAZING… I highly recommend her!!!

From the moment we had our initial Skype consultation we knew we wanted Minister Marie to be our officiant for our destination wedding. We felt immediately at ease with her and and she appreciated and listened to what we requested for our ceremony. As a bride from Australia, I felt confident that although I was only arriving in Newport Beach two days before the wedding, Minister Marie knew exactly what we wanted from our wedding ceremony. Our wedding was fantastic! My sister found our minister on the computer. Marie got to know us on the phone. Marie also had us write separately how we met and our feelings for each other. This was a very small wedding only 6 of us but it was so meaningful. I want to thank Marie for the great job. I would recommend her for any wedding large or small.

My husband and I were so impressed and thrilled with Minister Marie! She was so easy to work with and really listened to our ceremony vision. We wanted our ceremony on the shorter side, under 15 minutes and she had no problem tailoring it to meet our needs. She got to know our individual personalities which helped make our ceremony unique and intimate. We have received so many compliments on how lovely and heartfelt it was. What can I say about Minister Marie? She awesome, fantastic, outstanding… all of the above. We originally were going to find a friend or family member to get ordained and perform our ceremony, but from the second I met Marie at a Bridal show at our venue I knew she was it.
She takes the time to get to know you and truly make your ceremony about you. So many people came up to my husband, my parents, and me after our wedding to let us know how great she was and how special she made the ceremony. She took some of my favorite quotes and worked them into the ceremony perfectly and she spoke as if she had known us for years. I highly recommend her!

Minister Marie is AMAZING!
My Husband and I were married at 19, and had to put off our ceremony for 2 years. Marie understood every bit and worked with us on Skype while we were out-​of-​state. She’s so friendly and Creative! She managed to work in my Padawan Braid into our Ceremony beautifully. She’s such a good writer and I loved her!

I had originally signed up for the Tristan and Isolde package at their riverside office but had some complications and had to change it. Minister Marie returned my call right away and was more than happy to help me. We were able to change my package over the phone and take care of payment right away.
She and her notary were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to while we did our paperwork. She made us feel at ease during the whole process.
I highly recommend this place

Long overdue review.
Marie officiated my wedding. I ran 15 minutes late. She told my husband while waiting for me to come out of green room the fee for me being late and if I didn’t hurry up she would leave because she had other appointments.
I was FIFTEEN minutes late.
I was not pleased with how she was quick to rush us to sign the marriage license so she could go.
I will not be recommending her.

This is long overdue, but still necessary! Minister Marie officiated my wedding back in August 2013. She was nothing short of great. My husband is not a particularly religious person despite coming from a somewhat religious background, and Minister Marie respected that, fitting our personalities into the ceremony.
Not only that, but she KNOWS HER STUFF. She’s plans ahead and is a trouble-​shooter. She had never been to our venue before the rehearsal, and she knew right away how things should go. Our wedding was very DIY, and we took a risk not getting a wedding coordinator (our venue didn’t come with one), and we really didn’t need to because she took absolute control of our party (without being bossy! Plus!) and how the ceremony would run.
Not only is she extremely nice and personable, but she knows her stuff. Great officiant!

We had the pleasure of working with Justin for our wedding in July. I have only positive words to say about him. When we first met Justin we instantly felt a connection. He made us feel so comfortable and listened to everything we said but made it even better. He is very creative and great with his words. During the ceremony he definitely brought his «A» game. He was genuine, warm, lighthearted and hilarious, which was exactly what we wanted! We have heard so many compliments about how awesome and funny he was! We are so happy we were able to share such a special moment in our lives with someone so awesome. I highly recommend using Justin for your wedding and believe he will best accommodate your wedding needs!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! First of all, working with Let’ get Married was so easy and fast. Second of all they listen to exactly what you want for your ceremony, not just making you pick for four different ceremonies. Also their prices are great.
For our minister, we had Michael who was simply amazing. I had 5 people come up to me after the wedding asking for his name and number because he was the best officiant they have ever heard. He was fun, well spoken, engaging, and made our ceremony unique to us. I would HIGHLY recommend lets get married, as well as Michael as your officiant. We couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony. I had such a hard time trying to find an officiant for my non-​denomination wedding ceremony. I really wanted someone who would make our ceremony fun and unique. As soon as I read that Minister Marie was a bit on the Geeky side like us I knew she would be perfect, and she was! We had a Star Wars theme and as soon as I told her, she was all for it! She gave us some great suggestions and advice and she was so easy and pleasant to work with. She surprised us with a completely personalized introduction about how my husband and I met and it was beautiful and amazing! All my guests told me how amazing the ceremony was and how great our minister was and I couldn’t agree with them more! If you want a personal, fun and unique wedding, Minister Marie is the officiant you want!
