Ross was such a pleasure to work with from start to end! We hired him for our wedding last March and was blown away with his production and organizational skills. My dad had a DJ business for 30 years so I was definitely picky on choosing the perfect DJ. Dj Local Boy knows how to put on a show and we all loved him! He is a perfect DJ for any special occasion and keeps the party flowing and music going from genre to genre. He even brought out confetti poppers when the party started to get going on the dance floor! He kept the flow of our wedding smooth and helped us move from event to event (cake cutting, first dance, garter toss, etc.). We even hired him for an extra hour because he kept our party going and wanting more music and fun.
He made sure to stay in contact with us months before our big day and was always available for a chat or meeting when we had any questions or concerns. The other services he offers are fantastic as well (Photo Booth, uplighting, video services). He was even able to match our wedding color to his uplighting equipment after I sent him a color sample.
Ross knows how to go above and beyond and we are thinking of our next big party just so we can hire him again!

Ross was the DJ for our November 14^th wedding and he was amazing! So professional he went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. Ross was such a great help from the get go. He really went the extra mile on every step of our preparation to help me and my wife have the best wedding reception we’ve ever experienced personally.
He offered complete freedom in our choice of music, which was awesome because we were choosing music till the last minute and he was able to cater to all our requests.
But what stood out the most out of all his excellent services was that he did all he can to take that stress of worrying about one extra thing during the wedding day. He took care of all the equipment set-​up, communicating with the hotel, maintaining communication throughout the night, and making sure that there was absolutely no problem from the hotel that would have me worried.
If I were to hold another celebration that needed a DJ, I would most definitely look forward to working with Ross again! Anyone in need of a DJ, this is the man who you’ve been looking for your whole life.

Local Boy DJ was just heaven to work with. From the beginning, our DJ/​MC Jon was more than willing to work with our needs and unique personalities while balancing contradicting family tastes. VERY difficult to find in a DJ! Especially when my husband and I love indie bands while our families like meringue. The transitions were so smooth. The equipment was VERY nice and up to date.
Not only this, but it rained. It rained ALL day on our outside wedding and this is when Jon just went above and beyond his role as a DJ/​MC. Merely saying that he is professional and flexible is not enough. He was out there trying to help figure out what to do, moving seats and tables, drying the seats off for the guests to put under the porch with my panicking in-​laws and so on even BEFORE guests and the wedding party arrived. Jon is beyond his work. He is a caring, compassionate and resourceful human being. In sum, what he did for us on our wedding was priceless. I highly recommend Local Boy DJ. Ask for Jon.

Much more than just a DJ!
Local Boy DJ was professional, 100% customizable, timely, intuitive as to how to keep your party rolling, and to keep people on the dance floor.
Our wedding was on June 20^th 2015. We were able to choose all of our own music and he filled in the gaps to keep the good times happening. Not only a DJ, but also a great master of ceremonies. The timeline of the wedding was kept, and there was people dancing the entire night.
After the wedding we got numerous compliments fro our guests about how great the DJ was. We even gave his info out to a couple of guests who will be planning a wedding in the next couple years. He was friendly, professional, and intuitive to maintaining the flow of the reception. We would recommend him with flying colors to anyone who asks.

I cannot say enough great things about Ross! Prior to the wedding, he responded quickly to our initial contact, gave us a tour of the equipment, and was very organized with the process. He offers photo booths, videographers/​photographer interns, and backlights. On the day of the wedding, we had a major issue with our food truck running two hours late, and he worked with my aunt to rearrange the timeline to keep our guests from getting bored and moved the party along. Although I was stressed, he kept a calm demeanor and knew exactly what to say to try to make the situation better. He had our light sticks unpackaged and ready to go AND blew up our beach balls! We had the time of our lives and danced all night long. He was even available to stay longer if we wanted him (and of course we did!). Thank you Ross for everything!

Local Boy DJ worked an event on July 25 for us, we could not have been more pleased. Morgan was our DJ, she was a pleasure to work with. Definitely will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a DJ.

We first met Ross about 6 – 7 months before our wedding date. He hosted us at his office right there in Riverside and was flexible enough to meet with us on a Sunday!!! He showed us his equipment and all the different things they offer along with his work space and everything looked extremely professional, and to our delight, he was a blast to be around as well. He really helped us understand the in’s and out’s of a typical wedding day since we were doing everything on our own and didn’t have a coordinator to set everything up for us. With telling him briefly our taste in music and what we were trying to accomplish, he was able to put together a bunch of suggestions of music and even a rough timeline of events, all within the hour meeting we had! Throughout the following months until the wedding date, he kept checking in making sure we were doing alright and was always offering to help us with anything. He would reply to calls/​emails promptly and we were never left hanging. We were lucky enough to have Ross be our DJ for our big day and he did not disappoint. He arrived early to set up and make sure we had everything ready to go, and he even stayed after to help clean up (again since we didn’t have a coordinator, we were on the hook for everything). All in all, he was a great addition to our big day, the music was great, and we also opted to add the photo booth which turned out to be a huge hit as well. If you are considering going with Local Boy for your next event, stop looking at meet with Ross ASAP… He will definitely take care you and will always go the extra mile! It was a pleasure Ross! Local Boy DJ is the best DJ EVER! As an Activities Director (ASB) @ Vista Verde Middle School, I know how important it is to have a high quality DJ who can entertain middle school students! I first heard about him through my husband, the Activities Director @ Citrus Hill High School. He’s been the DJ for our dances at the middle school & high school dances for the past 3 years & we will continue to use him for so many more dances & school events! Ross is so interactive with the students & takes all their song requests prior to the dance & on the spot at the dance! He knows how to get all the kids moving out on the dance floor (even the wallflowers). He brings the highest quality equipment & he’s always bringing new innovative ideas to the show. He’s sensitive to appropriate music & clean lyrics for the kiddos. He makes professional videos for our school so which helps promote future events! He knows how to get our dances turnt up to the max! We love his energy & highly recommend him for your events! He is the only DJ we use!

Let me just start out by saying tht Ross is the best DJ out there! He is amazing!!!
From the very beginning Ross was great, he was always very responsive with any emails or questions we had. He is extremely knowledgable when it comes to weddings! He helped us plan out our ceremony and reception! He was so helpful and very organized and flexible. He provided great input with our song selections and helped us pick out the great moments for our wedding!
We also added the videographer for our wedding which is extremely worth it! Our video turned out amazing and is a great tool to show people how special our day was! Favian was our videographer and he did an awesome job, he was there for every moment. We were very pleased with this service!
During our wedding the sound was perfect, the music was amazing! Ross checked on us throughout the evening to make sure we were doing ok. He also helped us stay on schedule for the evening and made sure everything moved smoothly! My husband and I would highly recommended Local Boy DJ! We can’t wait to throw another event so we can use him again! I can’t say enough about how great he is!

It’s taken me a while to write this review and it’s so long overdue. Booking Ross for my daughter’s wedding this past January, was the best thing I ever did. I had been in contact with three other DJ’s prior to meeting Ross and the moment we met, I knew without one doubt, he would be the DJ for her wedding. He was amazing, thorough, helpful, and always kept in contact with me. He was so helpful and accommodating with our music choices and really took the time to help us choose the perfect song for my daughters non traditional walk down the aisle. It’s a day I will NEVER forget and most of that is thanks to Ross and Local Boy DJ. If I could give 10 Stars, I would!

Local Boy DJ was by far our favorite vendor! Ross found us through thumbtack. I had requested to find a DJ who was specifically into EDM music, and he immediately messaged me. Throughout our process of wedding planning he was always in contact with us, and very accommodating to all our needs and wants.
The day of our wedding couldn’t have gone more smoothly. He provided the minister, pianist, and cello player mics as well. No sound issues whatsoever during the ceremony. His setup/​equipment is truly the best! His setup includes a variety of high quality lights all across his truss, top of the line speakers, and a ton of special effects equipment like fog, foam, bubbles, and confetti guns. At the reception he got everyone off their chairs and the whole crowd banging on plates with excitement with his very energetic Mc’ing. The dance floor was immediately filled, as if we were at a top notch club, once he started playing his set. He read the crowd like a psychic and had us all jumping and dancing throughout the whole night!
My husband and I highly recommend Local Boy DJ Ross and his entire team of professionals for anyone’s wedding, party, or event!

Ross is the best DJ I could ever ask for! He made my wedding a night to remember! It went off with a bang literally! He was so tentative with details and he got everything spot on!!! My wife and I had Ross from local boy as our DJ at our wedding in Menifee CA at The Orchard (through Wedgewood), but I have total confidence that he and his crew could handle any event. We had a wedding package that was all inclusive, which saved us a lot of headaches, and to our great pleasure included Ross as our DJ. We met with him a few times in Riverside before the wedding and knew instantly that we were in good hands. He uses top of the line equipment and is really REALLY good at what he does. I know nothing about DJ-​ing but man, we felt so happy being in the presence of someone who is so obviously competent, focused, professional, and best of all, genuinely enthusiastic. When we were happy he was happy.
For our wedding we made a list of songs for the seating, entrances, sitting, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception. Ross allows you to be as involved as you want, we gave him a lot of options for songs and genres, but now that I know him, I realize I could have just said «Ross, make our wedding beautiful and amazing» and he would definitely deliver. He even found some great Iranian tracks that my wife was looking for. He can do anything.
Day of the wedding, Ross shines. Not only does he seamlessly move the music along to match the day, but he also MC’s! I had no idea how important this was until I was running around, talking to a bunch of people, just trying to get married. Ross was on the mic, being an excellent voice to usher our guests between events, and to subtlety direct us as to what we were supposed to be doing, which was honestly a lifesaver.
Planning a wedding is nothing like experiencing it, there are stresses and distractions everywhere, but the whole thing went so smoothly and wonderfully and it’s largely because of how intelligently and enthusiastically Ross works. If you think you can save money by using your iPod for a wedding, you’re making a huge mistake and missing a great opportunity to make the day so much more wonderful. Ross, if you’re reading this, thank you so much for everything.

We used Local Boy DJ for our wedding through Wedgewood at the Orchard, an all inclusive venue.
Before the wedding I filled out an extensive worksheet with the songs and song types I wanted for every detail of the wedding. I was a little worried about not meeting him face to face or speaking with him before the wedding, we played a bit of phone tag.
The day of the wedding he came up and introduced himself to us and he looked so young! All my fears went away when he played everything I wanted, exactly as I wanted and stayed so perfectly in line with the song types I wanted. Many people came up to me to say how great the DJ was! He also was an exceptional emcee, I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Kept stuff on schedule but not in a nagging way. He was fun and energetic. I am thrilled with the job he did and recommend him HIGHLY.

Just had our wedding this past Friday and Ross definitely took it to the next level. Everyone has been telling us he made the night! There’s no song he couldn’t make happen, and trust me there were some random requests. He was excited the whole time and kept the dance floor jumping. When we were waiting for the grand entrance, Ross told us how the night was gonna roll and asked if we needed ANYTHING. He showed up with a videographer, snow machine, fog machine, confetti blasters AND a GO-​PRO to wear on my chest for the night. He definitely knows his stuff and I would DEFINITELY recommend him for ANY event.
