RPB is a very sophisticated and experienced CPA firm. If you are growing business and need more than just a bookkeeping firm and need that professional firm who is going to tell you the honest truth and assist you by guiding your business take the right decisions when it comes to accounting, your search should stop. They also have a division that advises on ESOP and Investment banking and 401K management, etc. I switched to them after having a horrible experience with another firm. Don’t judge the book by the cover, visit them and you will know.

I work with two other CPA firms and a personal quick books person. Their company mind set within their office walls are «we require perfect books (or software) to be delivered to our door step» if not, then its $ 130/hr…simple. Usually I get a calls from other CPA’s that ask questions in order to adjust the books with layman type conversations. If you decide to use the company you will need to sign a two page contract before they do anything. A specific case in area is their view on Retained Earning. Other CPA’s and my Quick Books person agree that it is the CPA’s responsibility to to get that right. According to Roorda, Piquet & Besse, Inc. they write, «who ever is responsible for the financial statements and the trial balance needs to reconcile the retain earnings before we proceed». Nice. A CPA should be the connection between the IRS and the rest of us. Instead they act like the IRS.
