Excellent breakfast and lunch spot. Atmosphere is friendly. Beef vegetable soup is always a great choice. Have tried different breakfast and lunch items, none disappoint. Place is small and can get packed

I went with my family on a Sunday morning. Our waitress was kind, prompt and provided just overall great service. The food was just ok though. My husband ordered a eggs Benedict plate and the gravy just wasn’t that good.(it was covered with gravy not hollandaise) I had eggs toast and a ham steak with hashbrowns. The ham steak was thick and good but the hashbrowns were unseasoned, undercooked and just left a lot to be desired.
Its just ok which is a shame since it could be a old gem with some simple changes with the food.

It was a cold day, soup and sandwiches sounded delicious My mom had recommended this place we always see it so we thought we would give it a try. Me and my sister walked in nobody acknowledged the fact that we stood thereat the doorway. there was nobody asking if we want to put a name in like a normal restaurant or to tell us to have a seat when there is one open. People walked right in and sat down, so we seen someone leaving a table and just sat down after they left (figured that was the thing to do). Well it took some time for an employee to notice we were sitting and the table needed to be cleaned. So there went another 15 minutes. It was a horrible waiting experience. The food was really good. Would I go there again… ummm probably not. It was almost like pulling teeth for service. 3 stars for service/​friendliness.

This was my 4^th time visiting. Havnt been disappointed so far. Brought my sister and she enjoyed her breakfast as i did. Family Friendly environment and got seated pretty quickly despite the long line when we arrived. Old country feel inside a home.

If I could give more stars I would. GREAT food!!! Gonna be my lunch go to from here on!!!

Great little place!
It’s a mom-​and-​pop restaurant simple but refreshing food great vegetable beef broth soup, delicious sourdough turkey sandwich!

Yum, nothing like good soup.
Came here with a friend and we order a few things on the menu.
The food is simply good. This is a home cooked meal made with a lot of love.
I had the breakfast crêpe and they were good it sounded better on the menu…
Should have ordered something more traditional.
Also had some soup and they really hit the spot. Good soup always hits the spot.
I wish I lived closer, I’ve come here whenever the weather gets a little cold.
And if there’s room, try the dessert.

Parents went there for breakfast and the service was horrible. Just because it’s the holidays doesn’t mean one should be rude. They made one meal wrong and was unhappy when that was pointed out. Then poured coffee on my mothers food while pouring coffee in my dads cup. Never apologized. They need to work on customer service ASAP!

Super cute shop. It is small but comforting. The staff is polite. They would not give us the table we wanted but other than that cute place. I’d go again.

I love this place my husband and I have found our new go to place for lunch they offer amazing food and Anna and Kathy are great!!! I definitely recommend coming here for lunch great prices too!

One of those restaurants that have been there for a while and just tried. The thanksgiving thursday open face turkey meal was delicious. Turkey was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were incredible. It gets crowded but worth the wait.
Breakfast was a pretty good idea also. The omlettes are great and the muffins are worth a try

Had this restaurant bookmarked for a long time, having read that they serve real turkey lunches on Thursdays. Lunches, since the Soupe Shoppe closes at 3:00 pm.
Had other dealings in Riverside on Thursday, so it was time to check this place out!
Don’t do what I did — despite having mapquest directions — circle the area, repeatedly for me, looking for a 2-​story house.
The Soup Shoppe is in the «Brockton Arcades», cute small shopping center and the 2^nd story mentioned in some reviews is in what would have been the attic.
The restaurant (3 — 4 stars):
Old fashioned, cute, seat yourself anywhere/​feel right at home kind of place. Clean. A lot of the customers seem to be regulars, know each other and the waitresses. Very welcoming.
The food (5 stars):
My soup was potato soup (3 stars).
Main entrée (5 stars and would give higher): Turkey (real turkey) — a generous pile of turkey on a slice of bread, mashed potatoes (homemade), plenty of homemade gravy and a side dish of cranberry sauce.
The service (3 stars):
Was okay, could have been better.
Price:
$ 8.90 something, including tax. Can’t beat that. And i could not finish all. Had a to-​go-​box.
Will I go back — yes, next Thursday!

Great hole in the wall spot! I had the ultimate omelette and it was delicious! The veggies are really fresh, food came out pretty fast! It’s definitely a local spot, it’s nice to see how ppl come together and look out for each other… there were a a few ppl that paid for each other… were not friends or family just acquaintances… pretty cool. The family that owns this place is really nice, I’ll come back to check out their lunch menu!

Kathy is always the best. She serves us weekly and takes care of us like we are family.

This place has great food and very generous portions. It is very small and gets busy on weekends so be patient. They have great soups and their country gravy is some of the best I have had.

I ordered the veggie beef soup and egg salad sandwich. They were very quick in preparing the food and it was all very yummy. The place itself is small and cute

I really like this place. The staff is really friendly and its a really cozy restaurant. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The service has been pretty decent for me… I can’t complain.
The pancakes are humongous and will leave you full for at least 6 hours. I, personally, can’t even think about eating a meal until 6:00 after I eat breakfast here. And it’s a great deal! My dad and I always come out of here with a check less than $ 25.
Lunch is great here too. I love their egg salad sandwich, soups, and tuna sandwich. Give them a try and enlighten your taste buds to COMFORT food.
