The Tech Center

To night I went to the Tech Center at the Galleria At Tyler to have my iPhone broken screen replaced. As I walked in I saw a sign that said «iPhone & Samsung/​Android REPAIR SPECIAL Screens, Batteries & More”(see below) the Tech told me the total cost for my screen replacement would be $ 140.39, when I asked the Tech if that was the special price? he said there is no special! I directed his attention to the sign on my left and he just smiled. Now the Tech, Steven was very nice and I’m sure he’s not responsible for the sign in front of this store, but this is flat out FALSE ADVERTISING and this company should be ashamed of themselves. Do to the dishonest business practices of this business I would not recommend this business for your repair needs.

STOP!!! As with many posts I wish I would have read Unilocal reviews before I went to tech center. My son dropped my IPAD AIR and cracked my screen so instead of paying the $ 200 to have apple fix it I decided to try tech center at TYLER mall as their website seems overall professional and they quoted me $ 125 and within 13days for a turn around time, 7 – 10 for parts and within 3 for assembly and return. Well their 13days took 5weeks!!! Every time I called (2−3xs a week) parts are in and it’s half way done, oh yours is next, were real busy there’s 2 in front of you… they never once called me. Finally on the last day when I remembered I even owned a tablet still I called and told them either have it ready today or take your parts off and return my IPad… it was done 2hours later. Upon pickup the employee gave me a sob story on how he put everybody else’s on hold and finished mine just for me… right. Then the edge had lifter because he said the adhesive hadn’t set yet so put a book on it when I get home… When asked if I could talk to a manager or get a discount since they took a ridiculous amount of time he told me there’s no managers available he can only email them and wait. This is a very unprofessional company don’t cheap put like I did, go to a retail and get it done right and in a timely manner.

Completely disapointed!!! Took in Imac when display quit. You could still here it running and my I touch was able to still sync up. The diagnosis was to be done in 2 days. It took 5. They said it was the display and will be ready in 7 to 10 days. No word for 15 days. Then they said it was the power invertor and 10 more days until ready. No returned calls or returned emails. After going down there 55 days later they said they just received the display and it will be fixed by the next day, because thay had other jobs to finish ang get out. They called later that night to say that now the motherboard is dead and is not repairable. I said so basically you have no idea and have jerked me off for 55 days, and they said «basically yes». W.T.F. right. Turns out they are out of Dana Point Ca. The phone number to corporate is 949−481−2744 and is out of order… go figure. Try this number 703−276−0100 some at the Better Business Burea will answer. This is a scam operation ran by Dana Gavin Jordan @ 24 681 La Plaza, Dana Point, Ca. 92 629. RUN FAST AND FAR AWAY… THEY WILL PRACTICE ON YOUR ELECTRONICS AND TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY WHEN THEY BREAK IT…

No stars! Horrible service! I went to drop off my laptop like almost 2 months ago. To change my charger portal said it will be done in a month. Every time I called after a month was «it’s still unassembled» finally after like almost 2 months I get a call saying that it’s ready. BS. I go get my laptop and I turn it on and my computer says «no battery» it doesn’t detect the battery so it can’t be charged since there is «no battery»! But the charger portal works because it can only stay on if the charger is in. If I disconnect the charger it turns off. It’s ridiculous. The guy told me it’s okay we’ll fix it, should be done by tmrw morning. I call the next morning «sorry not done» I call the next day. «Sorry should be done tomrw» I call that stupid tomrw. «We are not ganna fix it because it wasn’t our fault» are you fucking kidding me? I did not turn in my laptop like that! Now I have to buy a new battery cost of $ 100 and he says «you signed a policy saying if there’s any damage while we’re fixing it, it is not covered» wtf? Ridiculous. I’m sure they took my battery and replaced it with a bad one so they can sell mine. Horrible service I’m going to look further into this. On top of that I get the «it’s still unassembled, should be ready by tomorrow» horrible horrible horrible. Don’t come here. Save yourself money and time.

STAY AWAY! This place is a joke full of false dates of when ur item will be ready! Horrible customer service!!! We took our phone there to get repaired & when we asked how long would it take the guy said «by Thursday!» So that was a sat. So when thursday rolled around we called because we had not heard from them and the guy on the phone said“we did not get the parts in” so then I asked «ok so when will they be in?» He said we expect soon so it should be ready wed” so then wed. Rolled around and again they told us the same story. By this time I got upset and told them this was bad customer service the guy on the phone told me that what he could do for me was to give me the phone back and that I could go pick it up! So get this straight by this time they now have had the phone for 3 weeks! And still no repair! So I went to the tyler mall to pick up the phone only to have the idiot tell me that” I can’t give u the phone back because the part was ordered” I told him that they run a B. S ! Business and tell there customer false promises just to keep there items and make them pay for it back! I told him to give me the phone back as I was promise by someone on the phone!” He acted like he had no clue what I was talking about and then when I asked to speak to a manager he said we have no manager on site ! So when I asked for the owners # he gave me a email I was like wtf! Am I going to do with a email I need to get my phone back so I can have it fixed… I have now Filed a civil complaint with in the mall u can do this by asking any security guard I have also called the (Better Business Burel) … Please help report these pep they need to be taken out of buisness and out of the mall!!! Taking advantage of hard working honest people… DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! If there was a negative star rating option that’s what I would of chooses but they make u choose at least one star

They were friendly, efficient and very kind and honest assessing a DOA Kindle Fire. Nerds with hearts and patience ! Great local resource !

Ugh stay far away. really only understand basic tech use 90’s instant messaging service for contacting corporate, shipping horribly slow and parts WAY too expensive. the people who rated it high stars are friends of one of the workers

This place is horrible do not go to them! They asked for deposit and the technician was never in after 2 months I asked for a refund and I am still waiting. Do not go to them.

I dropped off a tablet at the Taylor Mall store on 9÷5÷2014 for a screen replacement. I was told that it would be done the next day. At this point, my wife or I have returned to pick up the unit on 5 occasions. Each time, the unit has been in the same state of disrepair. The tech had disassembled and partially re-​assembled. We are repeatedly told that the tech just didn’t get to it and the unit is too complex for anyone buy Ezekiel to repair. However, Ezekiel is always elsewhere.
I even tried calling to the store to see if it was ready. However, I left a voice mail with no response.
I have never experienced this poor of a level of customer service in my life. This company is the one that repeatedly promised delivery of the repaired product on specific days. They repeatedly failed to meet the delivery date. They never contacted me to let me know there was a delay and reset expectations. In the meantime, we have wasted 2 ½ hours of our time driving back and forth to the mall in order to pick up our tablet because of the expectations the Tech Center.
My wife just contacted me from the mall a few minutes ago. The tech said he would try to reassemble the unit. But, I don’t have any confidence in his competence to do so otherwise it would have been done previously.
I am not sure how they remain in business.

They get the job done but customer service is pretty weak. I don’t remember his name but he talked very low and wasn’t very friendly and he didn’t give me the correct change back and I knew I should have checked before I left but I was in a rush to leave because it took 1 ½ to get my phone back.

Terrible customer service. A phone number they don’t answer, an answering machine they don’t check, and a location with a 10 – 15 minute wait. I’ve had to go back numerous times for a PS3 that still isn’t working properly. Go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble.

Worst place EVER!!! After attempt 3 of returning for a screen for my phone (that was never ordered from corporate) we took my phone somewhere else. I do not have their screen on my phone and they refuse to refund our money. BAAAAAAAAD business! There isn’t a customer service number to call or address to write. The email address had no response. Avoid this place like the plague.

This company is a fraud. We took our phone in for repair two months ago. After three separate attempts to fix our screen they were unsuccessful. They kept giving us a knock off screen were we couldn’t see our images. Was told that it’s the «new and improved true black apple screen». Had then re-​install our broken screen and went to icrack with success. I have called at least a dozen times trying to get a refund. Keep getting the spill that corporate needs to approve it. There is no corporate. Just a customer service email that is invalid. Called again today to find our that the gentlemen originally helping me is no longer employed and that they need to resubmit the request for corporate. I asked for a physical address and contact to file a small claims against corporate and was informed that there is no physical address. Don’t waist your time and money at a shady establishment.

First off let me say I have never written a review before. With that being said the service was so bad I. Had no choice but to leave a review. For starters they don’t answer a phone there the message on there phone even states that they don’t check their messages so don’t leave one. You have to email them to check on your device. Hmmm not a good practice. So I took my pad in with broken glass. I gladly paid 129.60 to get it replaced. Within 3 days the glass raised I took it back, Shane (the regional manager) stated that it would be a $ 50 charge. I was appalled the warranty says I have 90 days and it had only been 3. Hmmm bad warranty policy. The best advice I can give you is DO NOT take your devices to this place. The craftmanship is bad, the warranty is bad, and the customer service is bad. They will steal your money. Check around and find a reputable company.

I took my sons xbox in for repair. Here is the timeline…
Xbox
Dropped off 2 – 13, told it would be 5 – 7 days
Called 2 – 21 told haven’t looked at it yet
Called 3 – 13 told waiting for parts
Called 3 – 21 told it is waiting for tech to look at it
3 – 21 Sent email to customer service, no response
3 – 22 Left message at Montclair location since that is the domain name contact, no response
Called 3 – 28 told the tech should start working on it today and he would call me back. No response.
Called 3 – 29 told drive realignment done but it didn’t work and would try again.
4 – 1 called me and said nothing worked
4 – 2 picked up the xbox and found out the seal on the back was intact and they had not even opened it.
Horrible customer service. No response for anyone at this company. Don’t use these jokers!

Danny at the Tech Center is very knowledgable and did a great job repairing my iPhone5 top button. (Lock/​Power button). Thanks for the great service! I would definitely recommend them to my friends!

I call and ask if they can replace my screen on a Samsung Note 2. They ask if it’s just the screen and what’s the color. I have a black phone and yes its just the screen. A guy says yes we have one screen in stock and the price is $ 140 come in and lets see what we can do for you.
I come in 1 hour later and the guy tells me there’s only one person who works here who can replace the screen and he’s only here on Wednesdays and because he’s so filled with work we would have to call you back so as to let you know if we can fit you in. He says we have a screen in stock but I don’t know if it’s reserved for anyone else. I’m told if I pay half the cost it will reserve me the screen BUT they can’t guarantee it will be replaced this week or the next. He says this process takes 4 hours would you like to leave me your phone… No I’m not going to pay a deposit for that screen that’s probably reserved for someone else.
So I drove from Green River road to the Tyler mall so they can waste my gas and time. If you know you can’t do the job over the phone just say so. Very unprofessional and disorganized. I found another place called PRO wireless that will do it for $ 100 within an hour.
Good luck staying in business guys you’re going to need it.

Went there once and had my iphone fixed for 80 $ and they told me that my camera stopped working but they would gladly fix it for an additional $ 50. I said no and took it to a buddy of mine who said they just didn’t plug my camera back in.
2 Months later my screen stoped working and I went back there because of their 3 month guarantee and they said that I had water damage. I don’t remember dropping it in water or geting it close to any kind of moisture. They said they scrub off the residue for $ 60 and replace my screen for another $ 80 and that the 3 month guarantee would not cover any of it.
I refused to get it fixed for $ 140 and got it fixed at a different shop in MoVal for $ 65.

If you can pick a different place to get your devices fixed. Do it.
I went in to get a home button on an iPhone 4 replaced and cleaned for $ 85. Upon pickup the phone was still dirty inside and outside. I gave $ 100 of petty company cash to pay for the services (or lack thereof) and they didn’t have $ 15 change to give me. The response was «There’s nothing I can do, I can’t leave the store to get change.» (what kind of response is that for good customer service?) If this place isn’t ready to do business, they shouldn’t even be open.
If I could give a negative star I would.
