The Distillery is an award winning high energy bar and restaurant that offers fantastic ambiance and service for any drinking and dining occasion whether it’s business, pleasure or a celebration.

We created a restaurant that offers a distinct selection of domestic and craft beers, including unique bottle beer offerings and seasonal rotating taps, a diverse menu of American fare, flat screen TVs showcasing the day’s news and non-​stop sports viewing entertainment and a rich selection of classic rock music on our state-​of-​the-​art audio system to ensure that all the bases are covered. On December 11th, 1980 the original Distillery Restaurant opened on Mt Hope Avenue in Rochester, New York. It quickly became a spot for locals who met over good food and cold beer to discuss the various issues of the day, catch up with friends, make new acquaintances and celebrate life.

Established in 2007.

We continuously strive to create a great ambiance with timeless quality, friendly service and great food. We believe in attention to detail and are constantly re-​investing to ensure our premises are maintained to a high standard.

We are proud of our staff and management teams and know they work very hard to make your visit enjoyable and to create a fun and wholesome atmosphere, one you’ll feel comfortable bringing your family and friends to seven days a week. Don’t get the fajitas … they should rename them fajitas sliders. I have never seen tortillas this small… like 4 inches in diameter. But it made sense since the pan was only about 6 inches in diameter. I am headed for McDonald’s to finish dinner. Regarding service, I have had slower service … at a furneral!!! Very disappointing.

We had a last minute booking for 20 people, and so it was amazing that they could accommodate us. I have to commend them for their service, all the waiters and manager was super helpful, nice, and sure to answer all our questions. I am certain it’s difficult with such a large group but they were all so patient, and willing to help us with our orders and separate checks.
The rating is low because of the quality of the food. My burger was cold when it got to me, and just wasn’t good. Neither was the pitcher of margarita which just tasted like lemon water and added sugar. The portions are also much smaller than expected, and for what you pay for, I don’t think it’s worth it. However, it was packed when we got there, maybe for their draft beers, and TV. Definitely a more social setting.

Conveniently located near where I live. Nice place to grab a quick bite. Sunday — Thursday after 9PM, half priced appetizers. I have to negatives to add. They took the onion soup and the boned in chicken wings out of the half price appetizer options. I am assuming they did that to cut cost, or that they do it from stats that people buy it regardless of the days and times.

Food was extremely subpar and seems to have gone down since my last visit. My boyfriend and I got the pizza and the chili to share. The portions are tiny and way overpriced. For not even two meals and drinks (nonalcoholic) we paid $ 30. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

The food is good quality pub fare, the atmosphere is okay and the service is average. The prices are the big drawback here. They are about 30% higher than I would expect for the quality.
Not a bad choice for a lunch if you don’t mind spending $ 15+ for a burger and iced tea.

While in town, we met some friends here for lunch. It was a nice day (not too hot) so we sat on the patio.
Unlike most of the other reviews, we found the service to be great. Our server was attentive, friendly and quick. She never let our drinks become empty.
Our food was good: I got the buffalo chicken sandwich (and subbed a pretzel roll and fries instead of the regular roll and chips), my husband got the turkey club with fries and other people in our party got pizzas and a Ruben. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Food came out fast, hot and correct.
Gave a 4-​star instead of 5 just because it didn’t blow me away but I still think it is a decent place to stop when you are in the Henrietta area.

Despite complaints about service in other reviews, I’ve been somewhat of a regular at this place over several stints in the past year, and I’ve never had bad treatment. Sometimes they’re slow when they’re super busy, but this is a pretty giant bar and that can happen from time to time. Perhaps I’m more forgiving as someone who has worked in food service. Places this big are going to have the occasional poorly-​trained employee, or backed up kitchen, etc. Get over it, or go to a place that’s not the size of the Taj Mahal.
The food is super typical bar stuff. The burgers are good enough for me to break my diet routine for, but not good enough to write home about… let’s say B+ on the burgers. There’s a bit of a beer selection, but I typically come here to meet up with friends and share pitchers, which is usually the typical big-​brand stuff like Yuengling.
The atmosphere can be pretty nice when the place is a bit dead. I was there last night and people were chilling on the patio with the little gas fireplace lit… it can be a good vibe! Overall it’s a bit on the loud side at time, but that suits my purposes since I’m normally there to have loud, vulgar, and inappropriate conversations. Sports fans will be very satisfied with their TV coverage. I’ve also been in here at earlier hours, and you could certainly do much worse for a happy hour bar.
I’m not in love with the place, but they’ve got it to a point in quality where I’ll always come back because it’s just super convenient for those random «LET’S ALL GO TO THE BAR» moments.

It all starts with the experience. This local establishment offers typical «bar» food. They have wings which is my addiction with flavor options! Those are always fun.
They have truffle fries again one of my faves and of course burgers etc.
The reason for the very low rating was because of the experience we received.
We were greeted promptly at the door by the host. We were asked if we were ok with a high top and we all said yes. We were then seated in a booth. lol I know!
Our server was the worst part of this visit. She was so overwhelmed with her 4 tables that she neglected to give us water, napkins or even check up on us.
We spent a good portion of the visit waiting for her and ensuring she got our orders.
I’m hoping to visit this place again to give them another shot. Maybe it was just a bad server.

The food was decent… what you would expect from a pub. The reason for 2 stars is 2 fold… first, I could not substitute anything. I ordered the wings and ribs… I asked for grilled wings… they can’t do that. I asked for truffle fries… they can’t do that. I felt like every time we asked for something the answer was no.
Second, the service was terrible. We had to ask our waitress multiple times for water. She seemed rushed every time we came over… she barely ever stopped by our tabke… she would slow down when she walked by. When we ordered dessert, she didn’t know if they still carried it and then ran by several minutes later and said yes.
Lastly, if you wanted extra anything, they charged. …extra blue cheese? That’s extra… ice cream with your cookie dessert (which was how it was advertised) that’s extra… seems like they nickel and dimed you for everything.
Food was decent, service was terrible.

Went here on a Wednesday evening with a group for a birthday. Ive enjoyed the distillery in the past but this location does not seem to be on par with the others. The appearance of the restaurant creates a nice atmosphere in the summer. The beer selection is great but the food has been average at this location the couple times I have been there.
The rating is a two instead of higher because the service was extremely slow despite not being that busy. There was 9 of us and no one ordered more than two items. It took almost three hours to get everything. There was a larger party next to us that got there later and left earlier than us. The waitress was nice enough when around but there was a lot of time between visits.
I most likely would not return, there are similar places around the area which are better overall.

I was deeply concerned reading the reviews here. I ate here 5 years ago and the food back then was very good. I’d rate it 9⁄10 with their onion rings 9.5÷10. Did the food quality went down or something?
The onion rings were clearly a home run, I haven’t had any better than. Crispy, crunchy, not too much flour batter, wonderful…
The All Star burger, very delicious. I ordered medium rare, got medium. My wife ordered the hangover burger, also medium rare but it’s almost well done. No pink at all in the patty.
The burgers were very well made. Better than red robin, more flavor and very delicious!
This is the same delicious burgers I remember 5 years ago. Food quality didn’t change at all. Maybe overlooked the meat a little but nothing warrants the drastic poor reviews I’m seeing.
Our server was Greg by the way. He memorized ALL our orders from 5 people with 5 modifications and executed them all without any errors without writing anything down. He even repeated the entire order from memory to confirm what we wanted. That was impressive! He earned his tip very well. Service was out standing as far as I’m concerned.
4.5÷5 is what I would rate this place. The cooks need to keep an eye on how they cook the beef patties.

Horrible customer service, they took our large reservation, we showed up and they said we had to be gone in 60 mins because they server that took our reservation screwed up even though we heard them talking to the hostesses when we were on the phone

We dine at one of the many Distillerys at least two to three times per year. They have decent bar food at a good price. Their fish tacos are very good with a lot of fish in them. The boneless wings are tasty though a bit too few for the price. One downside is that their draft beer menu has been shrinking with not the wide range they used to have. And if you want to watch a sporting event this is the place to go with dozens of TVs.

The Distillery will do in a pinch. This particular location is fairly wide open inside! Plenty of TVs to watch the sports venues and they always have a special on drinks which isn’t a bad thing at all!
As for the food it’s your standard pub fair. However they do have a special ’ s menu and periodically throw some new items on the menu. The pretzel burger I had was ok. I wish I was bigger in fact and had more french fries to go along with it!
I’ll stop back in when I’m in the general area and grab a beer and I’ll try something else!

I have been here a few times but most recently cane with a friend to catch up since it had been a while since we have seen each other.
We went for lunch on a Sunday which was nice because the place was dead. We felt like we could take our time and relax and not worry about the waitress needing the table for the next set of diners and it was quiet.
Our waitress was great. She was attentive to our needs.
The food is always pretty good. I am never unsatisfied leaving there. This time I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. I also like their chips but they could use some seasoning.
This is certainly a great place to come watch a game as there are TV’s everywhere.
Overall, This is a great place to come once in a while especially for games but I don’t crave to ever come here.

Went here with a large group on Saturday night. Had not previously visited this location and quite frankly didn’t realize that the Distillery even had a location on Winton. I’m not a huge fan of the Distillery and never really have been.
However, as a group we came to the consensus that this would be a good option. Some members of our party were disappointed to learn that the Greece location would be a 45 minute wait for seating on a Saturday night so, we were pleased to learn that there was not a wait to be seated at this location.
I am generally bothered by a lack of vegetarian options offered here. Furthermore, I feel like the quality of food could be turned up notch.
One positive is the prices. Everything is cheap. Second positive were decent drinks.
My hubs got a philly and I got cheese quesadillas. Everything was edible, but not something that we would go out of the way for again. Server was very kind and attentive. Overall experience was fine, but I am not in a rush to return.

I was very reluctant to go to the Distillery last night because we had been thoroughly disrespected twice by two hostesses at Mt Hope location ignoring us while we waited over an hour for a table with our black pager clearly visible to them. The second at Winton Rd with a very rude waitress, she practically threw a dish of butter at my husband when he asked for it for the roll that came with his dinner. After these experiences years ago we never returned until last night. We were greeted promptly by a very nice hostess who quickly showed us to a booth. Our server Greg was FLAWLESS. Attentive, funny and genuinely cared about our visit. My chicken sandwich was yummy and my husband said his fish fry was really great. Way to redeem yourself Distillery. Cannot wait to return.
