Gold City Jewelers

We had some gold jewelry we needed to sell. We of course read all the reviews on Unilocal looking for the best outlet we could find. And for some reason, even though they only had a few reviews, decided to give Gold City Jewelers a chance. Glad we did.
Adam and Brittany are not only super nice, but smart and know what they are doing. Adam explained what they would need to do to determine a fair price for our gold. First: our gold pieces needed to be tested for quality. While being tested, none of our jewelry was taken out of our sight. Brittany tested everything right in front of us. Afterwards, Adam explained what the current value of the gold we had was. We even had a few high quality pieces. We even got much more than we imagined we would! We’re very happy and based on our personal experience, highly recommend this company.

My daughter’s vintage diamond wedding ring had loose prongs needing to be fixed so I came in to have them repair it. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and it was ready to be picked up on Thursday.
Their service was great and the ring looks brand new.

My fiancé and I came here to look for an engagement ring. It’s not the most noticeable-​looking place, but he had accidentally come across it while he was looking for my ring on his own and, though he didn’t find anything that time, he liked the customer service when he checked it out, so we went back. When we came in together, the owner recognized him and welcomed us. I looked through some of the catalogs to see if I liked anything, but I didn’t really see anything and showed the owner and the other guy working there, (who was also really nice), a photo of a ring I had found online that I really liked. He happened to have the catalog that carried the exact ring and gave us a price for it. The setting itself was a little above our budget, so we would only have been able to afford a very small diamond in the center, (plus we wanted to put rubies in it too). The owner gave us an incredibly good deal on a diamond so that we could put it all together. He also sold us the items at cost, (I saw the prices in the catalogs so I know!) Basically, he singlehandedly helped create the perfect engagement ring and fit it into our budget. It was even ready a day early, (he knew how excited we were so he made sure!) We will definitely go back to this place for the wedding rings! I wish I could remember who I think is the owner’s name, but he was super nice, helpful, flexible, and made this such an easy, exciting experience for us. He was there when we went in to try on the setting and pick up the finished ring as well so I would bet he’s usually there. Seriously… it’s a gorgeous ring! Great experience!

Went in a couple weeks ago to get my watch sized. The guy behind the counter (wished I would’ve gotten his name) came back with my watch in less than 5mins but it was still too loose so he put in another link. After he was finished I asked how much and he said, «nothing». It made my day. My boyfriend is a regular in getting his watches repaired and batteries replaced. They are honest, down to earth people.

Anyway, lately they have had sign wavers outside, waving signs that say «We buy gold». I have had a hideous gold necklace in my jewelry box for years, one of those flat, shiny ones (apparently the style is called herringbone). While the ex had good intentions, I have never seen anyone wear a necklace like this, except for 80’s rappers and Joey Buttafucco. So anyway, long story short, I walked in and showed my necklace to the guy, he looked at it, weighed it, and 5 minutes later I walked out minus one hideous necklace and carrying 86 dollars in cold, hard cash. Gold City Jewelers is closed on Mondays, and open from 10 – 6 during the week, and 10 – 5 on weekends.
