Average tasting BBQ not close to what others describe… service was horrible was told to come in to pick up large order at 11:30 didn’t get food until 12:15 was told no one knew why it took so long… manager said he would find out and never came back to say why… the worst part is the order was taken the day before and the restaurant advice me to pick up at the 11:30 time

The best BBQ restaurant in the area! Great food, service, and drinks. Not to mention the happy hour is pretty good. Definitely one of my favorite places for BBQ.

Where to begin. This place is the bomb! Period! I have been here about 5 times over the past couple of years. Every visit has been amazing! My first visit was with a group of friends who recommended it to me. I will say that my first visit, I got the brisket and it was extremely dry but everything else was fantastic(future visits, the brisket has been really, really good)! The biscuits are amazing, the soda is always mixed to perfection and anything I have ever ordered there minus the brisket my first visit is always awesome! The servers have always had great personalities, and been very attentive to our needs. I am a huge atmosphere guy and this place is fantastic. It has a southern home motif. You can smell meat being smoked! I am telling you… everybody needs to try this place! Do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Long due review for Lucille’s. We’ve been coming here for a good 5 – 6 years now and we love it. Great, broad selection of food for rather decent pricing. The service is great and the wait times are decent for the amount of customers they serve. We even hosted our company dinner here. Keep kicking butt Lucille’s! Love you guys!

We dined in on Sunday evening we called in our reservation dinner for 3 by time we arrived there was no wait we were seated upon arrival everything went smoothly. Our server Michael was a sweetheart! We had muddy waters, sweet peach tea to drink, a tri-tip entrée dish, St. Louis full rack of ribs dish, and a fried chicken breast sandwich with sweet potato fries. The biscuits with the Apple cinnamon compound butter is delicious. The potato salad and yellow corn on the cob were our favorite sides. We had peach cobbler and banana pudding for dessert. Great place, we will continue to make the commute for good southern comfort food.

Good BBQ Friendly staff Great atmosphere. Drinking out of quart jars was an interesting touch. A bit pricey. Just over $ 100 for 5 of us to do lunch. We were visiting family in the area, so it is unlikely we will ever go back, but if I am in the area again, I would certainly consider it.

We spotted this place in the same parking lot as R.C. Willey’s. The sign made me think this chain was some how related to the late blues guitarist-singer B.B. King. That piqued my interest. However, there is no connection, other than an unendorsed reference to his famous guitar in their name. The décor attempts to duplicate a run-down«down-home» restaurant, with various vintage product signs decorating the walls. I’m a Californian, so I can’t say I am that familiar with Southern cuisine. I tried the Southern Fried Chicken. The chicken was moist, but with a surprisingly spicy kick, which I wasn’t sure that I liked. The breaded coating had oil that oozed onto the plate when I cut into the chicken. It came with mashed potatoes and fried vegetables, which were also spicy. I asked for the white gravy on the side, which was pleasantly chunky and softened the kick of the spices. The meal came with biscuits, which were tasty, and I also ordered, for a dollar more, a corn bread, which I heartily recommend. The side salad(extra) was nothing special. This was not a low calorie meal. How high? I don’t know. The restaurant’s menu did not specify specify the number of calories. It is apparently exempt from the law requiring this disclosure because this chain has less than 20 outlets. My wife ordered the tri-tip BBQ sandwich. This was a disappointment. The bread was not particularly good, and the meat seemed dry. She did like the chips, which the waiter recommended over the fries. The wait staff were adequately attentive. Overall, I am not sure I would come back.

First off, the service was excellent. Our waitress Brooke was attentive, even though we were there on a busy Saturday night. We had reservations and we’re seated right on time. I HIGHLY recommend getting reservations so you won’t end up waiting an hour for a table. We were seated at a booth that was nearly parallel to the hostess station which was a downfall. Excuse me people waiting for a table but, no I don’t want your butt in my face while I’m trying to enjoy my meal. I guess I must have said it too loud because they moved. First off were the fried okra. I’d say they were just ok, not seasoned particularly well, though they do give you two dipping sauces. I prefer mine without sauce. The Caesar salad was actually pretty good, not overly lemony nor too soggy or dry. I liked the shredded parmesan on top. I order the Classic Caddy Margarita. Well I ordered two. That should speak for itself. The hubs had the Sweet Georgia Peach which he liked and the Peach Moon which he loveeed(blue moon, peach schnapps, oj), gonna have to try that at home. We both ended up ordering the Two Meat Combo. I got the St. Louis Ribs and the Brisket Burnt Ends with baked potato and corn on the cob. Hubs got the Baby Back Ribs and the Pulled Pork with creamy grits and the mac n cheese. Seems redundant to order ribs on both, but I don’t share my ribs, I’m just greedy that way. I really loved the Burnt Ends and the ribs were fall off the bone tender. The one disappointment were the sauces. I ended up blending the original and the Memphis sauce which came out alright. I like my sauce slightly sweet with a hint of spice, next time I will add a few drops of their spicy sauce. Prices are quite high, we paid what we would normally pay for 4 people at Red Lobster. But after craving ribs in the middle of Winter and a rainy season I won’t complain too much.

Party of thirty! Yup! Besides other customers complaining about our large group, the staff seemed fairly accommodating. We waited about forty-five minutes then got seated in a back room and split into three tables of ten(it wasn’t preferred, but we weren’t really given an option to sit all together either). We ordered two of the Lucille’s Super Feast, which is good for 10+ each, and to make sure we had enough food for everybody, we also ordered the Backyard Family Feast, which is good for another 4+ people. Those meals allowed us to try pretty much everything on the menu and, in hindsight, we probably would have been okay without adding on the Backyard Family Feast. The brisket burnt ends and bbq chicken were my favorites. The strawberry lemonade was pretty good, but would probably be too sweet if that was all I drank. The ribs were okay, but not that meaty or juicy, or tender. There were probably about ten other things I got to try, but none of them really stand out enough to remember. It’s a decent place to get some barbecue, but more importantly, for us, it’s a great place to bring a large group and feed everybody without too much hassle. We had a large group and called in ahead of time. We got seated pretty late, but I guess that’s to be expected. The place emptied out around 9pm, which is when we got seated. We probably could’ve just come at that time instead and not had to wait around. They were nice enough to provide three servers(one for each table) to make sure that we were taken care of. The final bill didn’t automatically add gratuity because of the large party, which I thought was kind of nice. All-in-all, I think we spent $ 700 with tax and tip included(and a drink for every person in the party). I give this place 3.5 stars for the food and 4 stars for the service. I give it three stars because of my first couple of visits. I’ll up my review to 4 stars overall if my next time if next time is as good as this was. Tip: you get an entire bottle of barbecue sauce with some of the meals and platters, so don’t forget to check with your server if your meal qualifies.

Everything I’ve ever had here has been amazing. Try the mardi gras chicken. And the corn bread, the baked beans, the fried green tomatoes, even the coleslaw is super tasty. Just wear your eatin’ pants.

My family and I decided to come to Lucille’s after shopping at the nearby mall. My sister and her husband have been to this restaurant before and raved about their bar-b-que. This is a large restaurant with plenty of seating, however is very busy place! Seats are taken quickly(Note: there is bar seating). For our party of four we were told that it would be a 20 minute wait, but we were quickly seated after about 10 minutes. This is a very cozy spot, the décor make you feel like you are having dinner at someone’s house. All of the staff was very nice and service was quick. We ordered: BBQ Beef Ribs, Baby Back Ribs, Lucille’s Smokehouse Wings. Our sides included: mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, corn bread, and potato salad. I also ordered the turkey sandwich entrée. I was quite impressed with everything that we ordered. The BBQ Beef Ribs were by far the star of the show, the meat easily fell off of the bone. Sweet potato fries were seasoned well and were nice and crunchy(Note: They also have really good Arnold Palmer). Everything was super delicious, my family and I left very satisfied. Overall, a great place to get your bar-b-que fix!

I took my family(party of 11) there last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Reservation was for 6 pm, table was not ready when we arrived, a 7 minute wait, not too bad. After we sat down, service was beyond slow and subpar throughout the entire meal. Drinks came out, but after 35 minutes. At this point after we waited for an HOUR(it is now 7pm) to be told they were OUT of biscuits by our waitress. She said they were out because of all the take-out orders?! Mind you, we had a 93 year old woman, a toddler and two small children at our table. When we asked if they could maybe bring out something else like bread or cornbread for the table, we were told«I’ll have to charge you extra for that!» Really? At this point, I tracked down a restaurant manager(female) and ‘voila’…we had 2 baskets of biscuits! She was very nice and was a saving grace because at this point people were so hungry they were going to start eating their napkins! I noticed other tables’ food came out before ours. They sat down after us. Ours came out sporadically, my youngest son’s meal was forgotten. My chicken looked like it was run over… flat as a pancake, not the usual southern fried chicken that is presented. Side dishes were skimpy. Drink refills not offered. No acknowledgement of my husband’s birthday(even though they were told ahead of time and I had balloons at the table) We did see that another able did get a song and piece of cake for a birthday. We were already presented with the check. When asked if we were going to receive a birthday greeting for my husband, I got a «oh, did you want that!?» At this point it was too late and too cheesy… so I had them box up the cake to go. A male manager finally arrived at our table. My Mother-in-law gave him the run down of our dining experience and he looked like he could care less about anything. He did give us the cake«on the house» though. Food is good here… service last night was not. This restaurant was so in over their heads, it was apparent. I think they were quite surprised too! With it being a holiday week, along with large tables, they should have been better prepared. In closing, our waitress mentioned that out of the 3 years that she had been working there, this was the worst night by far. She tried her best I guess. Something was really off last night.

YUMYUMYUMYUMYUM! You can’t really ever go wrong when your at Lucille’s! The food is great, the staff is friendly & portions are HUGE! If your one for appetizers I suggest the fried green tomatoes(amazing), fried pickle spears(they’re addicting) & the rib tips(soooo tender & juicy). They’re salads are great, I love their smoked salmon, the macaroni & cheese is creamy yumminess & they’re baby back ribs are lip smacking good!!! They have a full bar & lots of different beers to choose from or sweet tea & other nonalcoholic beverages. There really is only one thing that can get annoying & that is that it’s soooo yummy that everybody & their mom eats there, so sometimes for dinner there can be a quite a wait! They do have a pick up counter right in the front in case you don’t want to dine in!

First time customer tonight and I would definitely return. I had the catfish and shrimp which was delicious. The biscuits are really good also. I wasn’t a huge fan of the apple butter, but it wasn’t bad. I love the huge glasses of soda and the soda mixture is on point(If you’re a soda snob you’ll know what I’m talking about). Our server was prompt and friendly. Our drinks were always full and our server made sure we were taken care of the entire time. It was quite busy so our wait was fairly long, but that is to be expected and we didn’t make reservations. Portion sizes are nice and big if that is important to you and there is a wide variety of food so you should be able to find something on the menu that works for you. A little pricy, so be prepared to spend a little more than your typical place. I would have to say it is worth it, but because of the price it might be one of those special occasion kinds of restaurants. Overall very satisfied. Glad our friends brought us here to try it out.

Went to Lucille’s tonight for the first time in two years because of previously bad experiences. Greeted and seated by a very pleasant kid that reminded us of Justin Bieber. A very pleasant server promptly arrived at our table a took our drink orders. We then placed our orders for our meals. We were then informed that we were getting a new server because she had to go on break. After about 15 minutes we had to ask someone an employee who was passing by if a server was going to come to our table. After a couple of minutes a very friendly gentleman brought out our orders. He never came back and asked if our food was okay however. Took us a while to get our bill too. Now the food. My baby back ribs were very good. Fries were overcooked and not good. Mac and cheese was dry as a bone. How on earth do you screw up mac and cheese? Three stars today. Maybe we’ll give them another shot in two more years.

We decided to eat here for my husbands birthday dinner. We absolutely love the food, service, and atmosphere. When we arrived and checked in with the hostess, I realized that I made a reservation for 5 rather than 6! Face palm. The hostess was completely accommodating and told me that it was not a problem at all. I was so grateful, especially considering it was 7pm on a Saturday night and packed. This is what we ordered: 3Tri tip dinners, fried chicken dinner, bbq pulled pork sandwich, 3 meat combo dinner with tri tip, pulled pork, & ribs. Our sides included mashed potatoes, collard greens, corn on the cob, & Mac & cheese. Our server, Jon, was awesome! He was so friendly and attentive. He stayed on top of refilling drinks and keeping the delicious biscuits and apple butter coming! Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We were able to enjoy our time talking before dinner came and we were not rushed at all. When the food arrived it was all perfect! Jon even made sure to bring over an extra plate for discarding the ribs and he also brought some hot towels for my hubby’s fingers! The food was delicious. Our friend who had never been here was impressed and really enjoyed the food. Jon brought hot towels for the rest of us as soon as we were almost done with our food. Jon and some other servers came over and brought my husband a piece of chocolate cake with ice cream and hot fudge. It was heavenly! My husband doesn’t usually like chocolate cake but he loved it! It reminded me of the hot fudge cake that Bob’s Big Boy used to serve. In addition to the cake, Jon also gave my husband a birthday card! It was such a nice touch. I highly recommend Lucille’s. The wait can be a bit long, but it’s worth it. They do also take reservations over the phone & online.
