Tony’s Auto Repair and Mechanic Service

Came here to get my A/​C recharged and oil change. Both were done in less than 15 minutes. He also tightened a valve where my coolant was leaking and replaced a blown relay with no extra charge. I would highly recommend.

I love coming here. I recently started coming here for my tune ups since my mechanic was always busy. My first experience here was great. I pulled up, drop my car off, said I need a oil change, walked across the street for a breakfast burrito and my car was done before the burrito! (Wtf!). Since then I have been coming here with my GF, friends and family. Pricing is fair/​great and since I have a Honda Accord they always use original parts from the dealer. If you live in the area I would highly recommend coming here. I have only been here for minor work but have been very satisfied.

Awesome, fair, and fast. One of my headlamps went out, and I needed it fixed that day. I showed up at around 1130am, and they did it on the spot. No waiting. They really listened to my concern and made what I needed happen.

Tony always pulls through for me everytime I need a quick oil change. I am very busy so finding and scheduling time for car maintanence is challenging. It’s nice to call last minute and have them tell you to come right in! I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes here.

Everytime I come here to get a quote on some mechanic work to be done on my car, I always get this pretentious attitude from Tony’s son — who seems to be running the body shop. He acts like you need his business and not the other way around.
I eventually got my brakes done here. It was alright, the dealership would’ve charged twice as much. However, my most recent visit, I asked how much it would cost to get a part replaced on my car. I pull up, these mechanics look at me but noone really comes up to me and ask what I need. I come up to Tony’s son and he’s like What do you want. I tell him what I need to have done, he calls for the parts price and ask for a deposit for the parts if he were to order them.
I ask for the cost of the labor and he says $ 60. Something in me tells me to check other places before I settle on his service. Although $ 60 is still cheaper than the dealership, I declined his offer.
i went to another body shop in Rosemead to get a second opinion. Guess what? The 2^nd body shop owner said I didn’t need the part replaced. Just for giggles, I asked how much would it cost for labor if I had the parts replaced. He said $ 20!
FYI tony, I checked the retail price for the part and it’s only $ 78 a pop. You would’ve charged me $ 87 a piece. Nice comission you would’ve made.

A small little auto body shop in a slightly sketchy place but they definitely did not disappoint. I had to get my car towed here to get my starter replaced and they were super nice and answered all of my questions. I did not feel as if I was being taken advantage of much like how some mechanics try to get money out of female patrons. I didn’t make an appt and only had to wait for about an hour or so to get everything fixed and read to go. I asked for my oil to be checked and he checked everything with no hesitation! Super friendly service and very quick, I’m really satisfied with this shop!

I came here for a simple oil change and they not only did that but pumped my wheels for free!
Man was friendly and informative and answered all the questions I had about my car. Worked fast and efficiently and took great care in what he did.

Exceptional. Just exceptional.
I took my car to a shop and they told me I needed to replace my rotors, brake pads, and possibly something on the inside. I’m not a car person, but good thing I was with my friend who told me to check out this other place instead. So naturally, I left and went to Rosemead auto repair instead. I am very pleased with this decision.
Over here, a very friendly man named Mr. Truong helped me (What a coincidence ~ maybe truongs just get along with each other ^_​^). One of the best mechanics I’ve met. He literally went through my car repairs in 20 minutes, and on top of that I was pestering him with my questions the whole time. In 20 minutes he fixed the problem an exchanged my brake pads, and it turned out everything else was fine! Phew! He saved me extra repairs and costs, and he was extremely knowledgable. For fixing my brake pads in 5 minutes, I was able to walk away with extra time on my clock and money in my pockets. Mr. Truong and this shop are honest people who WON’T try to charge you for other things to make a profit off our lack of knowledge. I will definitely be back, because why go to a shop where they dick around and overcharge for labor and parts when you could get things done fast and efficiently and cheaply.

I found this shop indirectly by one of Tony’s customers whom is currently selling their vehicle on Craigslist 4 days ago. Because of my habit of always looking at used vehicles on craigslist… I found this shop indirectly.

I’m thinking, Tony takes care of his customers… So I figured what the heck.
Unilocaled the reviews of Tony’s Auto Repair and read numerous reviews before calling Tony on Wednesday for a quote on the repair service needed. He didn’t beat around the bush and gave me a number to work with. Lower than what I was quoted over at Auto Pros in Montclair. I asked if that price included recharging the AC system… he said yes.
A day later, I stopped by here today. Still unsure if they were the real deal.
Got my AC repairs done and it was more than fair priced for the work done on it.
Got the Denso parts I requested for the replacement parts. Not sure if the Condensor was a Denso part as it was found to be leaking as it was removed, but it was replaced with a new one on a timely matter and did not cost me an arm and leg. I thought to myself… the «Condensor»…I knew how much it would cost for a new one at the Toyota Dealer online and at the local Toyota Dealership Parts Store… So I was thinking…“not good”.
But Tony told me how much more it would cost to replaced it without any additional labor costs.
Parts being replaced: AC Compressor, Compressor Clutch, and Condensor. I requested Denso parts because that’s what OEM parts inside the vehicle are from. Initially, I was going to have the Receiver/​Dryer replaced, but the Condensor was leaking so it cost me a little more than originally thought. The Receiver/​Dryer is inside the Condensor.
Tony said to bring it back if I run into issues where the AC doesn’t work right or is not cooling.
$ 10 oil changes if you bring your own oil and filter. Otherwise it’s around $ 18 for a regular conventional oil change for most vehicles. If you want synthetic, it cost you more. Call Tony for a quote.
He also recommended that the engine mount that was nearby my engine in plain view be replaced with an OEM one when I decide to do it. I knew it was cracked already and hadn’t gotten around to getting it replaced. Will probably get this done by this shop when I get the chance.
CASH is best here, but if you need it put on plastic: they take Visa & Mastercard here. No Discover or AMEX.
I’ve put my trust into this shop today since I’ve been a very loyal customer to Jim over @ Auto Pros in Montclair for 16 years. Jim lost my trust over there. It was not easy going to another shop after being loyal to a shop for that long length of time. Not easy.
Now I’m hoping Tony over here at this shop is my go to shop for the next 16 years or so if I stay in Southern California.

I’ve been through many mechanics with many vehicles… And now that I own a Cooper S… I baby this car! Going to the dealers is way to expensive! So I asked my brother… And he recommended Tony’s place.
I’ve been here a few times now… And he is one honest and hard working man! He would not cheat you and lie to get more money. He is what I call a genuine business man… Which is RARE!
this place might not look hella fancy like some places… But they will not jip you or take advantage of you…

Called Tony’s to get a quote on how much an oil change would be for my Lexus ES 350, he said it was going to be around $ 60. I asked him if he was busy right now and if I could come over. He said yes come right now.
I went there, dropped off my car, walked over to the bank to get some cash that was only about 1 mile away (took me like 20 mins to walk there and back), and BAM my car was surprisingly already done when I came back. I was really impressed! I have never had an oil change been done that fast before.
This is definitely a great place to come if youre in a rush and you want the best quality service. They even left those paper feet things on the bottom of my driver seat. Thank god that they did because I saw how dirty it was! eww! I just noticed that the previous places that Ive gone to for an oil change dont do that.

Great synthetic oil change service!!! Linh did so good I have to come back! $ 65 for oil change synthetic + filter + tire rotation! I’m a happy camper!

Tony’s Auto will definitely be my go-​to auto shop for fixes and repairs from here on out. I came in today (Friday) around 9:30AM for one of their quick and inexpensive oil changes. After speaking to Tony about my car, I decided to also change my transmission fluid, and fix my air conditioner. For 2 years, I have been driving without AC due to a missing condenser. Tony assured me that he would be able to get the part and install it as well as finish up my oil and fluid changes by noon. After quoting me a reasonable price, I went ahead and said yes. At around 11:30AM, he was already done with my car!
Needless to say, Tony and his crew are quick, reasonable, and honest working individuals. Of all the times I came in, I have never felt overcharged or haggled into doing unnecessary services. Now that I’ve got AC, I can finally enjoy driving in the spring and summer heat!

Johnny did a great job fixing the awful dent in my Mazda 3’s bumper. Some other body shop gave me a quote of over $ 1000 and Johnny made it look like new for much less. I will for sure be returning to this genuinely nice guy.
The speed was also unbelievable, Johnny obviously knows what he is doing and takes care of your car better than most other places would. Could not recommend this guy more. Thanks!

This will definitely be my new spot for any car repairs that I need. They were ridiculously fast, and it honestly surprised me when they called to tell me it was ready for pickup. Tony answered all of my questions and explained what needed to be done. My car is running very well again!
Tony is also very honest and nice. I really felt like I could trust him to not overcharge me and to do the job well. His pricing is very reasonable, and he charged me the exact price he gave me as a quote. He also let me borrow one of his cars for free while my car was getting serviced! But if the cars are out, there is also a couch in the waiting room. Tony and his shop are awesome!

I not fan of the big auto repair franchise like Firestone or Jiffy Lube. They tend to overcharge for simple oil change service and often there is a line. I think there has need to be more love for smaller local own auto shop like this one and others. They are provided same and usually more service and cheaper than many more well-​known establishment, best of all usually no line in the weekday.
My friend’s car is badly needed to change engine oil, this one was closest to her place. The price of oil change was only $ 18 total, that’s included adjust the tire pressure and added windshield and other fluid. It took less than 20 minutes and was fast and smooth. I would recommend here for car service.

Tony’s is my go to shop for any work that I cant perform myself. I have had them do a bunch of different work on my SUV and they always do a great job. They are quick efficient and are willing to discuss whatever is wrong with your car to properly diagnose it.
I have had a number of different things done here. It seems that the pricing for msot of the work comes in under the initial estimate as they are estimating the time involved and if they are able to do the work more quickly, well you can get a cheaper rate. They dont just stick to the quote. This saved me an hour’s labor on the last job that I had done.
I think that they do a great job all the way around your vehicle. Consequently it makes things very easy to have someone nearby you can trust to do the work right and do it right the first time. If something seems amiss after they complete their work, they will investigate it further.
If additional work is warranted, they will let you know what that is. As well as an estimated cost. So if you need some work done on your ride and need a shop to head to, I suggest these guys. Check them out if you have the need for some work done on your ride…

I went to the Honda dealer. Dealer quoted me $$$$$ prices to fix, and said I had a bad battery. I got an second opinion, at North Hollywood VIP car service, got quoted $$$$ and said I had a bad battery.
I came to Tony, Tony said my battery was fine, and Alternator was the true problem (causing the idling, and shut off while driving). Long story short, dropped the car off at 9AM, picked it up at 12PM. Fixed the Alternator, 2 rear shocks, gasket valve cover, and air filter for $$$. It wasn’t cheap, but it’s truly a good price for the parts and labor.
Come here if you like saving money for quality work.
