Bob’s Cycle Center

Went to four bike shops today but found what we needed at Bobs Cyclery. Travis was very helpful in finding just what we needed. No pressure buy. Found the right bike at a good price. Would definitely shop here again.

My bike tire had just popped so I was calling around various bike shops to check prices. Not only did these guys have the best prices, they are really nice. Overall great service with a wide variety of bikes and accessories. I will be back here to purchase my next bike!

I’ve been to Bob’s Cycle Center a few times and the staff has always been very helpful. I have a tandem tricycle and when I was fixing it up I had a lot of questions. Bob’s was one of the places I went to for some answers. I never bought anything (it’s an old trike) but the staff was still very helpful and always took the time to answer my questions. When I’m in the market for a new bike I will definitely return to Bob’s.

Went here to buy my son a bike after researching a few local shops. SO glad we chose Bob’s!
We were helped shortly after we walked in and Travis took the time to answer all of our questions. We looked at a few bikes and he was really patient with my son. The mechanic added a kickstand and tuned up the bike while we paid and we were ready to go.
Excellent customer service! We will be back for sure!

I was lucky enough to win a bike generously donated by bobs cycle center at a rivercats game! Eric the GM was super nice after I won and Nick and Clint at the Roseville store were beyond nice and helpful. They helped me get my bike set up just right and didn’t try to oversell me on anything. They were über helpful and knowledgeable to help me on my way! I am so thankful for their generosity and how helpful and courteous the staff at the store was! I look forward to frequenting the store and recommending to all my friends!

I am new to Rocklin and I wanted to buy my nephews (9 and 15) bikes to go biking with me. I looked on Unilocal and after 2 unsuccessful visits we ended up at Bob’s. Wow. Good sales, big inventory, friendly guys. The guys who work there outfitted the boys, gave us personal attention, and even loaded the bikes in the car. Fast repair also. One yr warranty with tune ups. Awesome place

The staff here is amazing with a ton of knowledge. I am on OG bmxer so i’m a little let down by the BMX selection. But the MTB/​Road Bike folks are the ones that spend money so I understand.

Bought a $ 1500 bike from Bob’s in Fair Oaks. One week later we had to bring it back (took it to the Roseville location)… the spokes weren’t tightened properly, the crank was loose, the shocks didn’t have hardly any air in them, the dérailleur was bent. Then to top it all off — I had to wait 3 days to get my brand new bike back and it wasn’t even ready when they promised it. Can you say ‘pre-​sale inspection’?

Although I am not sure, I have a feeling I was helped by the owner. If not he sure came across like an owner. He was friendly and very helpful. I told him I was not in the market for a bike at the moment, but was just getting an idea of what was out there and what the price range was for a new cruiser for my daughter. He answered all my questions, provided relevant input and showed me several very nice bikes.
The topper for me was when I was getting ready to leave I asked if there was a skateboard shop in the area. He said there used to be but they moved or went out of business. He then asked if I had a minute so he could try to find one locally. He got on his computer and looked up a half dozen skateboard shops from Roseville to Sacramento. Way over the top customer service.
Although I wasn’t really looking to buy today. I have found where I will be buying my daughter’s bike and probably many more.
The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that being a small shop, his inventory is somewhat limited.

I happened to be at the Automall on Monday, and incidentally, in need of road tires and tubes. Bob’s Cycle Center was RIGHT THERE, so I said «What the heck?» and popped in.
This shop is small, as is the selection of bikes & gear, but the staff is awesome. One of their sales associates, Justin, was on the phone and one of two employees manning the register, and he STILL made time to greet me, direct me to the tire selection, grab me tubes and a mini-​pump from the back, and check out. A+++ customer service.

I’ll start by saying that I really have no «real» need for bicycle shops. I avoid them at all costs because of their over the top pricing and MSRP mentality for any item they sell. I do all of my own work and I have found it more cost effective to purchase the tool for the job than pay an hour of labor with rivals that of a car dealership. I really dislike attitude, laziness, and poor customer service, and hence my dislike for bike shops.
I do however go to them when I need a part, piece, or a staple such as a pump, tube, or tire in an emergency (either real or imagined) and at a time when I cannot wait for UPS to deliver to my doorstep.
When i go into a bike shop, I am already resolved to the fact that I will be paying a ridiculous high price for whatever I am looking for, if they have it in stock. What I demand is customer service and, and by great, I mead GREAT customer service.
Today, I went in looking for a staple and was met with attitude and laziness. Rather than assisting me in locating an out of stock item, the kid behind the counter just spewed attitude and was in a hurry to get back on his phone to continue his messaging session. Not good at all. I will try this place again if need be, but I will not recommend it to anyone.

This cycle shop is very handy. They carry a good assortment of adult and kids bikes and accessories. Good quick service too. Very reasonable prices. I have gone in many times for help with flat tires or needing air. They did a great job of bringing a bike i have that is almost 25 years old back to life. It is very rideable and has sentimental value to it, it is the bike i used to ride on in triathlons. I will never disgard it or Dis this bike. As I write this i can glance up on my wall and see a picture of me crossing the finish line wearing an orginal jogbra and one of those yellow helmets we all used to wear.. Remember those. My race number reads 151. Anyways, Bob’s is great.

I bought my bike at another bike store and couldn’t shake the noisy/​problematic drivetrain even after a second visit to their mechanic.
I dropped by Bob’s and Josh put my bike right up on the repair stand. He explained some of the moving parts to me, and got the bike right in tune. My new bike finally rides like a brand new bike — and not like a Walmart special towing a box of Legos.

Dropped my bike off on July 26^th to have some work done on it. After the shop mech had to «check with the other shop» several times he told me they had to order parts so it would be ready by the 4^th of August.
I called them on the 9^th as I hadn’t heard from them hoping my bike was done and they just forgot to call me. No such luck! Sounded like they hadn’t even started to work on it. It took him several minutes just to find my bike. The guy said he would make it a priority and it should be done by Friday the 12^th. Just another deadline they made and didn’t keep, as I got a call on Friday saying they didn’t get to it and if the shop mech couldn’t do it Saturday it «would be the priority on Monday». At least they called that time to let me know they wouldn’t be meeting that deadline but set another one that I doubt they will meet.
Who knows when I’ll get my bike back. I’m thinking of just picking it up and taking it somewhere else. I’ll never do business with them again!!!

Bob’s was great when I bought my Trek 7300 in 2003. They explained all of the features that I wasn’t familiar with well, and also warned me about the bite of the brakes since I was used to shoddy ‘department store’ bikes. (They weren’t kidding!)
Since then I’ve been back a few times and can usually find what I’m looking for. They have a good variety of each item (Most recently, I found them to be the only place that had grip-​shift grips. My wrists thank them every time I ride my bike now.)

I’ve been wanting to get into road biking for the past few months so I’ve been looking online, craigslist and in some stores. I finally ventured in to Bob’s Cycle Center. After two minutes of looking around Brian approached me to se and answered all my questions and gave me some really insightful advice. The whole time I never felt pressured and I asked some pretty rookie questions since I’m a newbie to bicycles. He took the time to answer everything.
There was a Felt AR5 road bike, originally $ 2700, and on sale for $ 1850. Being frugal and one for bargains I was already half ready to purchase this bike. After a few times of trying the bike and adjusting the seat and measuring my correct pedal length Brian told me the bike was just a little too big for me and it wouldn’t have been a good fit.
I thought that was awesome how truthful he was. I don’t know if they’re on commission or not, but he could have easily have sold me the bike and I would have never known better. I really wish they would have had that bike in my correct size but I’m more happy about the customer service.
So if you’re new like me and just need an honest opinion about bikes I’d highly recommend you check out Bob’s Cycle Center in Roseville.

We went to every bike store in the Roseville Rocklin area before buying at Bob’s. They had the best customer service and knowledge of what would be right for us. They had the best deals too. We went to the Hub, and they ignored us for about 10 minutes before asking if we needed help. They quoted higher prices and then offered to price match Bob’s. REI tried to sell us into a bike way beyond what we needed at this stage.
We took our money back to Bob’s, and bought our kids some sweet rides!
