Eye Bright Window Cleaning

An Update — I finally got them to come out. They came out in a BMW — not a truck and proceeded to clean only some of my windows — not all. They also upsold me on the screens, which were decently clean, but what is the point of only cleaning a handful of windows? I have a one story house — they are all accessible.
This was just money down the drain.

I purchased a living social coupon in October. They have cancelled 4 (FOUR) times and rescheduling each time is a night mare since they do NOT return calls for forever. This is the last straw. I can see clearly now, even though my windows are dirty, that these people do NOT mean business. I do not want their business and will be calling to get a refund. This time they stated that their truck «broke down». Really? Like when your guy was «sick» a few weeks ago, or «It might rain» a few months ago. Move on along and find someone who wants your business!

We purchased a coupon for our 2 story house (3000SF) for $ 140. Two men showed up, poorly outfitted, no uniform, vehicle with markings etc. They told my wife that they needed an extra $ 170 in order to clean the screens (up-​sell). Since she elected not to pay this, they refused to clean the windows. Needless to say, this is a dis-​reputable business in our view after this experience. We will get our money back through Living Social.

I purchased a Groupon for window cleaning several weeks ago. They were scheduled to come out today, but arrived about 2 hours late.
They then tried to up-​sell me. When I declined, they claimed that they had to leave to do another job. I called their office and left several messages, but to no avail.
Not sure what kind of scam these guys are running, but needless to say I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Do NOT buy their LIVING SOCIAL deal, this place is a COMPLETE SCAM, they do a bait and switch. I purchased a living social deal for interior and exterior window cleaning. First of all, it took me two weeks to make my first appointment, no one answers the phones and half the time the voicemail box is full. When someone finally called me back, they scheduled me a few weeks out and then completely flaked on the appointment, no call/​no show. I had taken off work and waited around for them, could not get a hold of anyone to see what was going on, a complete waste of my time. The manager left me a message apologizing for missing the appointment and after another week of trying to get a hold of them, I was able to reschedule. When the two guys came out to my house they said that the deal did NOT include the screens and tracts, but they would contact their manager to see what kind of «discount» he could give me since they had flaked on my previous appointment. The managers «discount» was to charge me an additional $ 180 for the screens and tracts (keep in mind the voucher itself was $ 139 for the windows). I told them that I wanted to pass on the screens and tracts, and would just do the windows as per the voucher. They told their manager and said if we did not purchase the screens and tracts then they could not clean the windows because it would not be worth it for them. We told them that was BS and to just leave then. They advised me to contact living social to get my money back and that’s exactly what I did. I hope Living Social does not let this company do any more promotions because they do not honor them and they try to force you to purchase additional services. Completely unprofessional, so disgusted. Don’t waste your time or money.

This company had an ad on groupon for window cleaning which I purchased. It took me weeks to get through to someone because I always got their voicemail and the box was full and would not accept messages. I finally get someone and they had no appointment available until after my voucher expired! They tell me no problem they will still accept it. They schedule me 4 months out and take my voucher number which now shows as redeemed on groupon!!! My appointment date comes and goes without a word from the company! No call, no email, NOTHING! Now I am back to trying to call the company and have the same problem. No one answers, ever, and the mailbox is full! They don’t show an email and if you try to go on their website it comes up with an error message! Crooks or what? They are still to this day running ads on groupon/​living social. Whatever you do– DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! You will regret it like I have.

In general, they did a good job on the windows but they completely missed two windows and a few screens and they charged us more than the inital quote for the screens. I do not recommend this business. I should gave checked Unilocal before buying the groupon.

I purchased on groupon, failed to show or call on scheduled day. I tried to reach them but their mailbox full. I was promised a refund through groupon. They told me they have had an issue with them not communicating with them. The Eye Bright redeemed my coupon so they already rec’d money. I wasted a day waiting for them. They need to improve business skills but too late for my business. BEWARE OF THIS GROUPON.

I bought a groupon and called for an appointment October 2013. The earliest I was told was January 2014. I was really shocked but took it. The day of the appointment came and 15 minutes before the scheduled time I got a call cancelling and said they would call me to reschedule. I called them and said «I hope I don’t go to the bottom of the list and have to wait 3 months again.» He assured me that wouldn’t be the case. Another 3 weeks went by without a rescheduling phone call and I gave up. They can’t be relied upon to keep their appointments or maybe groupons.

What a joke! Bought a groupon they advertised. Made an appointment. Waited 6 weeks, took a day off work and nobody showed up, or even called. I even called the day before, & the day of the appointment and got no call back. Don’t use this company.

Bought the Groupon in June, called numerous times to a full voicemail box and finally got through only to find out the soonest we could get an appointment was the end of October. Appointment date came and went with a no show by the company. Will be following up with Groupon. Like others said, if you can’t handle the business you receive from Groupon, stop offering Groupons or other deals and catch up on your appointments or better yet, close shop!

I was looking forward to trying this company vis a Groupon coupon. Knowing that clean windows make me very cheerful, I was even looking forward to the nice Unilocal review I would write… but like other Unilocalers, I never got the chance. Emailed via their website twice to make an appointment and left a phone message once. No reply to any of these. I finally had to call Groupon and ask for a refund, which they did immediately.
Previous experience has taught me that businesses sometimes get overextended on Groupons and just can’t follow through. When that’s the case, I think it would be a better policy for the company not to just hide out until we back off of the deal, but to make contact, apologize profusely, and offer to handle the refund if that’s possible. That might not be satisfying for every customer but I would take it in a much better spirit than I take my having to make multiple good-​faith efforts that go nowhere.

This is an update on Groupon’s involvement in my problem. I contacted Groupon who also tried to contact the company. Apparently they did reach someone and I was told the company would contact me within three business days. They didn’t and Groupon issued a credit.

AWFUL! The LivingSocial voucher was for inside/​outside window cleaning and they totally ruined one of our screens and damaged two others. What a rip off… AND the voicemail is conveniently always ‘full’ when we call… and on the one time I was able to leave a message, I have received no call back. Steer clear.

Made a appt. two months away (first available), then was a no show, then voicemail was full. No return phone call. Unacceptable business practice.

Rescheduled 3 times for a mobile car detailing. When they finally showed up, they did not do a good job. The windows and mirrors have water spots. They did not clean the bugs off the front of the car or off the side rearview mirrors. Roof of SUV filthy. Barely cleaned interior of vehicle.
I called the company and spoke to a person (Bruce, I think). Told him of the problem and he said he would give a discount of the same price (Groupon) to come back out and do it again. My response was why would I pay again to have it cleaned, when you did not do it the first time! He then said «have a nice day,» and hung up on me.
I would have given lower than a one star if possible.

Groupon warning … I bought a Groupon in early June for window cleaning at this business and called and was told it would be September before they can come. If you are willing to wait four months, go ahead and buy the Groupon. I purchased it knowing I wanted the windows clean for an upcoming event and now am stuck because I already paid for it.

This is the first time I had my windows cleaned and never realized how dirty they were. It feels like I have new windows, these guys did a great job!
