Elements Massage

Not long after I posted my review I got a call from the young lady at Elements Massage saying that she was able to fill my spot and I wouldn’t be charged the cancellation fee. Then a bit later I got a call from Debbie in the corporate office apologizing for the mix up and that I never should have been charged. It’s a little confusing, was I not charged because they filled the spot or because I never should have been charged in the first place? I’m giving them 4 stars for the effort (I appreciate it very much, Debbie has been awesome) but not 5 stars because I’m not sure this ever should have happened! Either way I’ll continue to go for my massages at Elements Massage.

I’ve changed my rating from my original review after being contacted by Debbie, the studio manager. She called me the day after I posted this review, and was very nice and helpful about my situation! I hadn’t been told when cancelling my wellness plan that unused sessions could be turned into gift cards (for a small conversion fee) that don’t expire and can be used by me or anyone I want to give them to. Wish I had been told that originally when first cancelling the account! Debbie was pleasant to talk to and very customer-​service oriented. She got me all taken care of and I’m much happier now knowing that those sessions don’t go to waste!

I visited Elements Massage last year when I was experiencing extreme headaches due to neck and back tension. They recommended a therapist that could work on trigger points and do some deep muscle work. Taneisha was amazing and I would recommend her to anyone that needs deep tissue attention. I’d give her 5 stars, absolutely!
The only reason this review is marked as 3 stars is because of how the business is conducted, especially concerning the wellness plan. When I came in for my first massage, I was given information about the wellness plan and told that if I signed up that I could get a monthly massage at a reduced cost. I went ahead and signed up for it because it seemed like a good deal. Several months later, however, I realized I didn’t need/​want a massage every month. In December I asked how many sessions I had left on my account, and there were at least 4. I told them that I just couldn’t use up the sessions as fast as I was accruing them and that I wanted to cancel my account. I was given the option to «suspend» the account for three months, but I opted not to do this because I knew at the end of 3 months I would forget to cancel, and I’d get billed again. I asked if I could still use up all the sessions I paid for. I was informed that I would be charged an additional time (because I hadn’t notified them 30 days before the next payment, which I was aware of because that was told to me in the beginning — but I think 30 days is a bit much!) and was told I had a month to use up the 4 + 1 additional one I’d be charged for. There is absolutely no way I could or would want to use up all those sessions in just one month. I’m disappointed because those 5 sessions were a complete waste of money for me. My advice to anyone looking to do business here — don’t sign up for the wellness plan unless you can actually keep up with the once-​a-​month massage schedule.

I had posted a review yesterday about this establishment. I was frustrated with their scheduling system and their customer service. I want to say the manager reached out to me and resolved my issue in a timely manner. I was very happy with the way she handled my complaint about the establishment. That is how customer service is suppose to be! I would definitely recommend Elements to anybody. I have been seeing Derrick and Mark for awhile! They are great! I have always had a great massage and experience from this location in the past. I will continue to do business with them.

Its not easy getting body work off strangers for a woman. I would appreciate profile pics or even a short video with everyone in it on the website to make a more comfortable choice but I read each therapists bio and chose based on experience. Booking online, on the day was quick and convenient.
Reception is professional. I didn’t have to wait long which was very good as I was anxious because I injured my lower back at the gym the day before.
Andrea was my massage therapist and her personality and massaging technique is great. She has an assured, gentle nature with a firm touch and I felt relaxed with her from the beginning.
The reasons my review is not 5 stars is because this is my first massage in America and I had to ask how things were done here which seemed unusual as it should have been evident from forms filled out that this was my first time at Elements. I also would have liked more attention to my well being knowing I was injured offering tissues or water during the massage to allow my breath to catch up as I felt each muscle get deep treatment. What I would have appreciated the most though was being made aware of how Elements pricing systems worked before my massage not after.
Sales should not be more important than a customers well being. Andrea’s massage was so good it took me a few hours, lots of water as she recommended and a nice dinner before I could really think again lol
Its now the day after and I was able to go to the gym today with some modifications to support my back noticing my whole body is benefiting from my massage with Andrea which I am very thankful for and would be more than willing to have a massage with her again without a doubt though the pricing might hinder this happening. I got a large discount paying $ 49 not $ 89 since it was my first visit.
I am hoping Elements will team up with Orange Theory Fitness where I am 3 – 5 times a week to work out some great deals for those who would like to be frequent, long term customers.

I think massage chains in general are the «fast food» of spa/​massage services. If you’re looking for massage on a regular basis, I recommend finding a chiropractic office or wellness center with massage therapists. These chains do the job if you want something same-​day, quick and easy to schedule.
Taniesha gave a great prenatal massage, but I called and asked about pricing for prenatal massage before I scheduled my appointment and they told me prenatal was the same price as regular massages, that they don’t charge extra like some places do. Well, after my massage I was surprised with an extra charge for my massage being prenatal. When I asked, the front desk said it must have been «a new girl who doesn’t know» and then said I had to pay the extra amount.
I reluctantly paid, but got information to contact a manager because their customer service was horrible. Now that I am in my second trimester and massage is ok, I’m looking to get a massage once a week through my whole pregnancy, and there are too many other places that offer 60 minutes of hands on time at the same or better rate than this place, with much better customer service.

If the review was just for Taneisha, it would be 5 stars. She works absolute magic with her hands. I have no idea how such power and strength comes out of such a small woman. She gave me a deep tissue massage that focused on the upper back, neck, and scalp, with some work on the feet as well. She really worked out all those knots and truly was amazing. She was also very friendly and I liked her as a person as well.
I had a Groupon for a 60 minute massage that I used. I had no problems calling to make an appointment. They had lots of openings and availabilities, which I appreciated.
But the regular price is just too much. The massage I got is normally $ 89, but I paid less than $ 40 with my groupon. I would never pay $ 89 for it, simply because there are more competitive offers out there.

The front staff was very nice and accommodating and asked me what kind of masseuse I wanted. Light, firm, trigger point. .etc. They delivered on the correct pressure.
The only problem I had and why I gave 3 stars is because I felt my massage was rushed. My massage was supposed to be for 55 minutes.
I was not called in until 5:04pm (appointment was at 5pm). It took me 5 minutes to talk about my problem areas on the intake form and to get undressed (now 5:09). I was then promptly ushered out at 5:55pm. Maybe it was because I had a Groupon???
I might give them another try if I were to get some extra time on my next possible visit. The masseuse was good but the visit was not up to par.

After a rough couple of weeks, a friend gifted me a Groupon to Elements Massage to help me feel better. I get migraines so he thought maybe if I relaxed, it might help me in the long run. I called earlier this week and booked my appointment. The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful, asking me where I was having issues (neck/​shoulders) and recommending a therapist for my first visit who would be great for it. They called me the day before to confirm my appointment :)
I ended up having an appointment with Rocky, who does medium to firm pressure. When I arrived, I filled out some paperwork and was promptly in the massage room. Rocky went over what my issues were, what area I wanted to focus on, what his massage plan was, etc. Overall I felt very comfortable with the experience, clarity & great communication. I enjoyed my massage and left feeling relaxed. I got a whole body massage, but Rocky made sure to spend extra time on my trouble areas, which was really great.
I ended up signing up for their membership program. For $ 59 a month, I get a 55 minute massage per month ($ 30 less than their regular fee) and I also received a gift card for an additional 55 minute massage to either gift or use for myself. You can cancel anytime within a 30 day period and, if life happens, put your membership on hold for up to 3 months. The receptionist recommended another therapist for the type of therapy I want next month. After booking next month’s appointment, I received an email confirmation with a .ics attachment which, upon opening it, automatically added the appointment to my calendar. We’ll see how this goes. overall, great first time experience!

This place is awesome!!! Bought a Groupon because I recently started running and my back was not liking it. I stand at work a lot so I was hoping the massage will help that as well. My massage therapist was Carina and she was amazing! She showed me knots in my lower back and upper back and neck that I DIDNT EVEN KNOW EXISTED. I felt so relaxed afterwards it was wonderful. I didn’t think I was going to join their wellness program but after my massage and realizing I had all these muscle knots, I made the decision to join. It’s only month to month so I didn’t feel like it was too much of a commitment at around $ 60/​month and you can cancel anytime. Cheaper than most massage places I’ve looked into. Definitely recommend :))

Completely unhappy with my massage. Didn’t get any muscle relaxation. Feels like these people are amateurs. Told the receptionist when I came out and she offered another introductory rate massage. Heck no ! Not going to pay for another massage here.

NOT a good experience!
I felt the massage therapist wasn’t trained well or was very inexperienced. There was no flow or consistent pressure. I felt like she was just trying to get through the whole thing as quickly as possible and she didn’t address my major problem area until the last 5 min.

I bought a Groupon for a 50-​minute massage. I’ve been having some neck and shoulder pain and wanted to try a deep tissue massage. When I called, the receptionist booked me a massage for a few days later and told me the name of the masseuse. After hanging up, I noticed on the website that this particular masseuse doesn’t do deep tissue. I called back, and the receptionist told me rather snappily that she DOES do deep tissue, contrary to the information on the website. So I rolled with it.
The massage itself was fine and was the full 50 minutes. But it turns out that the masseuse really doesn’t do deep tissue. The front desk receptionist – a different one than I spoke to on the phone – was very apologetic and kind about the whole matter. But my experience with the person on the phone was definitely not professional. So, unfortunately, only three stars. If you book here, make sure you are very, VERY clear on what you want and insist they give you the right person!

Be careful about using the Groupon. After scheduling an appointment, we were cancelled with very short notice (less than 1 hour). The feeling that we got is that we were «bumped» in favor of non-​Groupon clients.
Ironic, isn’t it? If we had cancelled the appointment on such short notice, we would have forfeited the value of the Groupon. Yet, Elements «cancels» our appointment with less than half an hour’s notice, and they offer nothing in way of policy. The employee who called us — Guadalupe — seemed to find our concern to be amusing. Rather than apologize or offer any kind of accommodation for our inconvenience, Guadalupe just suggested that we contact Groupon to request a refund if we weren’t happy. Other people seem to have had better experiences, but this place strikes us as kinda sleazy. If you are considering a Groupon purchase, beware.

The massage itself is great. But the customer service at the front desk is lacking. They gave out incorrect information. The referral signs are misleading, so I asked the front desk for clarification… they clarified and told me that any referral I sent is a free 55 minute massage. So I took a stack of brochures and passed them out at the 500 apartment homes I manage, then I refered someone and they give me a $ 10 credit. Wow, only $ 10 … now they are claiming they never told me that, and won’t do anything for me. If they don’ fix this, I will cancel my membership AND personally send a notice to all 500 residents stating NOT to go to Elements Massage

I had the best experience the moment I walked in by Guadelupe. So professional, kind and friendly. My masseuse Chantelle was on point with the massage and what my needs were. Great place.

My husband and I purchased a pair of Groupons for massages at Elements Massage. From the moment we walked in, everyone was very nice and accommodating. My therapist (Sherri) was excellent and had all of the mechanical skills required of an MT. She paid special attention to the areas I requested, and the massage itself was lovely, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Easily four stars! The only reason I’m withholding the fifth one is because of atmosphere. I’ve gone to other spas where the environment itself really makes for a great experience (lighting, music, ambiance, fragrances, etc.), but this one’s just not in that league. But then again, it’s less expensive than those other places so it’s all about personal preference! All in all, great place, skilled therapists and nice people.

First time here and, it was a great experience. Mark was awesome. I had my first prenatal massageat 36 weeks. Highly recommended! I can’t wait to come back. I even signed up for the monthly program. Groupon price granted!

Because I was in some serious pain, I made a same day appointment here with a massage therapist I knew nothing about. The receptionist asked me a little about my needs and scheduled me with Virginia. I went in with a pain level of 8, and came out a 3 – 4. This girl knows fibromyalgia — she offered the perfect balance of pressure and ease. Before I got there I made up my mind that I was going to take advantage of their $ 49 introductory massage but NOT join the wellness program. But halfway through the massage I completely changed my mind. The difference in how I feel is totally worth $ 49 a month. And it’s close to my house. I am so happy I took the chance!

My husband bought us Groupons to try out Elements Massage — I can’t tell you how thankful I am. I had the very best massage of my entire life here. All I can say is: Kasey is amazing. I can’t wait to go back.
Oh right, I will be coming back every month! They talked us into getting their monthly membership, which allows you (and one other person) to get a massage once a month. It’s like getting a discounted massage each time you visit. And if you want to get extra in a month, you can just pay a discounted price for them.
Totally worth it, considering I had the BEST massage ever here. I arrived tense, and left feeling completely and 100% relaxed. Thank you for working your magic Kasey!
The receptionist (manager?) was super nice too; she made us feel welcome and explained the entire process of both the membership and our massages that day.
Best Groupon ever spent.

I found my massage to be better than average. My massage therapist was attentive to all the adjustments I needed to the massage and worked well around my injuries. I enjoyed it very much, but it wasn’t the melt in your sheets massage that I could have gotten from my friend who practices sports medicine and has a great grasp on anatomy.
Very expensive in my opinion, but perhaps its just the principal of it. I always think massages are overpriced. It was pretty good to alleviate my pain for a few hours.
