Vector 1 Termite & Pest Control Services

I called Vector 1 last year and again this week to take care of some warranty work (rodents in the attic). They were as prompt and happy to serve (to do warranty work) as they did last year when I paid them. They also helped me connect with another contractor to help me with an unrelated matter (water damage). My experience was so good I that we are hiring them as our year-​round pest control company moving forward. I am very picky on who I do business with and being able to deal with and support local small businesses is always better than with mega corporations. I am happy I found Vector 1 last year in Unilocal and can personally recommend them to others.

I lived in Austin Midtown (Anderson/​Burnet area) for a year… mainly because I loved the location. It allowed me the affordability of walking to the Drafthouse, WalMart, Hopdoddy, my church… everywhere!
But…beware of these old apartments. Their remodeling was basically just putting lipstick on and calling them fixed.
We got roaches. Bad. Check out my review on their page detailing what happened with the leasing office etc. Oh, I am not a messy or dirty human being. I put food in tight containers, I don’t leave any food on the counter or stove. I don’t leave dirty dishes in the sink. I’ve NEVER lived with roaches like this. Disgusting. (Which made it even that much more insulting when the leasing office implied that it must be the way in which my roommate and I lived since none of our neighbors had reported a problem.)
Austin Midtown had their pest control company come out multiple times to spray our entire place — and nothing was changing. Despite emptying out all the cabinets, ALL the cabinets, egg sacks were still being found and each morning we would kill more roaches.
I contacted Vector 1 to tell them about what was going on (because the leasing office at Austin Midtown didn’t have the same sense of urgency as I did about wanting this gross-​ness out of my living space). Vector 1 came to my apartment the next day. Stacey was a life saver.
He located a couple holes on the outside of the building where the roaches could be flying in. He also knew exactly what species of roach he was looking at when I showed him a few we had killed. Talk about knowing your work — most exterminators wouldn’t bother to know the difference between the different species. Well, it is important because you treat for different species differently.
Stacey moved the stove away from the wall (which I doubt the previous company had done since doing so revealed a whole new world of gross creepy crawlers), and treated back there. I didn’t know that most exterminators won’t move big appliances like that to treat. Boy was I glad that he did!
He went above and beyond in treating the rest of my apartment, laying out traps and checking EVERY last nook and cranny and finally making it so we had no more issues with those nasty little buggers.

Was able to very quickly schedule an appt with Stacey for a termite inspection. He kept his appt time and texted me 20 mins in advance. He performed a free very thorough inspection and found no problems, but was kind enough to point out some masonry issues on house which he thought may need to be dealt with at some point. His clear knowledge of his field, his honesty, genuineness and friendliness have secured a spot for him for any of my future termite and pest control needs. Thanks, Stacey!

This company is unreliable and I wouldn’t use them. They told me someone would come by at 4:00 p.m. At 4:30 they called and said he was running late. Then they tried to tell me it was raining and they couldn’t treat in the rain. There was no rain at my house, so it was a terrible excuse. If you want a company to show up when they say they will, avoid Vector 1.
I wrote this review and the owner Stacey promptly contacted me and tried to resolve the issue. I had already scheduled another company to come out, but I appreciated his follow-​up and desire to try and resolve the scheduling challenge. I am updating my rating as a result.

Called for a termite inspection. Greg came out and did a great job and very friendly.
I would recommend them for everyone.

Greg from Vector 1 did the initial termite inspection on my new home during the main home inspection. He was very thorough and then he explained what he was looking for, how he identifies trouble spots, areas that need special attention etc. He explained how termites can be treated and different preventative measures. I never felt like I was being pushed into something I didn’t need, rather, I felt more educated.
Once the sale was complete, I asked Vector 1 to come out and do the preventative treatment. Again, he explained what he was going to do, how each element works to prevent termites, and what I should look for. He explained swarming activity and how to distinguish between flying ants and termites. All stuff I never had to deal with before.
He also took care of a fire ant mound and wasp nest while he was there (but I didn’t see it included in the bill– that was really nice of him).
Not only do I feel better armed against termites, I know that if I have a problem, I can be confident Greg and Vector 1 will help me out.

Wow, after all the great reviews I was excited (well, as excited a you can be to use a pest control service– lol) to use Vector 1 to come out and perform pest control services to get rid of sugar ants that had gotten into my kitchen, and do a yard treatment as well for some bees in the backyard at my home in Round Rock. I submitted a request online being very specific about my needs and location on their website which promised a response within 24 hours when submitted on a business day– I submitted the request on a Monday morning over one week ago so given 5 business days and a service request and a phone call, I got nothing back– at all. Very disappointed at lack of customer service! Guess I’m back on the hunt gor a good pest control service in the RR area.

Vector 1 has amazing customer service! I signed up as a member of Unilocal just to rate this company. Not only is their customer service excellent but so is their work. I live on a green belt with tons of spiders, ants, scorpions, etc. and since using them, have not seen one in my house. I use their quarterly service which is very affordable. I can not rave enough about this company. Anthony is the tech they send out for us and he is very professional and nice.

A tenant was hearing scratching in the walls at a rental home so I called Vector 1 to inspect the problem. It was a bad rat infestation. The rats were getting in through the weak seals on the roof vents. Anthony quoted the job for exclusion work to seal all entry points and for trapping and removing all rats. My tenant said he was very courteous and thorough. He also sent me updates via email on how the trappings were going and I am very pleased with their work. I even had him come out to our house for the free inspection. This company is one I will definitely be using and recommending!

Greg came out and did a great job letting me know what the pests were up to. He was very courteous and professional the whole time. I’m confident the little critters are gone and I can rest assured if they come back Vector 1 will come eliminate them again. The war between humans and bugs continues on forever, but I think we won this one. I highly recommend Vector 1, great price compared to the other guys, and they seem to know their stuff!

It is so difficult now days to find a local company that is really interested in providing a professional service at a very reasonable price. Well, look no further. Vector 1 is starting to restore my faith and willingness to invest local. They are professional, and by professional I mean on time, provide solid and real information when asked, and they provide the kind of service other local and big chains do not in terms of pest control and how to treat your home. Do your homework before you buy into the hype that you need monthly service. Only Vector 1, in this area, will tell you the truth and provide the interval of service you really need. Stacey and Anthony were my main contact with the company. Both of them provided excellent and professional service.

I have had a German Roach problem for 1.5 years. I was on a quarterly schedule with a national chain to avail. I saw Vector 1’s reviews on Unilocal and called them in. I do not have any bugs any more. I would reccomend them to anyone who has bugs and wants them gone ASAP! I’m very happy!!!

Just recently bought a house in Austin and had Vector 1 come spray for bugs, great work & great pricing. Then a few months later we counted 16 wasp nests and some were in VERY high & hard to get areas. Warren with Vector 1 came out and took care of all of them. Thx a Ton Vector 1 !!

We just moved to Round Rock from Tulsa. I read the great reviews about Vector 1 and thought we’d give them a try at our new home.
1^st call: They were friendly and scheduled a visit on a Saturday afternoon. We waited around all day and no one ever showed up.
2^nd call: They apologized for not coming out. They lost our address AND our phone number. (not very professional). We thought we’d give them another shot because we understand accidents happen. They were scheduled to come out last Thursday afternoon. They were a no show … again.
There won’t be a 3^rd call. I’m disappointed and amazed by the lack of professionalism. I don’t know how this company stays in business if this is how they treat potential customers.

Greg from Vector 1 just left our home after doing a termite inspection. He was under the house for so long making so much noise that we thought for sure we must be infested, but it turns out he was just being very thorough and was honest enough to tell us he couldn’t find any active termites therefore we didn’t need treatment. He was extraordinarily friendly and gave us some helpful tips about flea control after it came up in conversation.
I would use this company in a heartbeat if I had any sort of pest problem. They are honest, efficient and friendly.

We called Vector 1 after my husband tore down half of our back wall thinking he could get rid of our termite infestation himself. (This whole tearing apart your house bit is not necessary by the way, the termites do enough damage we don’t need to help them out.) When we saw the extent of our infestation we knew we needed help and jumped on Unilocal to see who the best pest control company to help us would be. Vector 1 had the best reviews so we called them. This was the best thing we could have done. Even though this is swarming season and the termites are trying literally eat this town out of house and home, they were so nice and responsive and eager to help us.
Greg came out a couple days later to assess and give us our free estimate. I was so scared about how much this was going to cost us! The price was so incredibly reasonable that I almost cried. Our infestation was not a little one and I was preparing myself for a bill well over $ 1000. It was less than half that.
So, not only did it not break the bank, but they were so nice and normal and put us at ease. I enjoyed every interaction I had with this company and cannot say enough nice things about these guys. They even squeezed us in the next day for the actual treatment. If you need pest control these are your guys.

Warren from Vector 1 just left from my roommate and I’s apartment a little while ago.
It was a great visit. Very quick and straight forward. Warren was incredibly honest with what he would be able to help and also what he couldn’t. I was reassured about the 60-​day guarantee and promised if I had any more problems, another visit would be no charge.
Very happy with the service!

Do NOT use Orkin or any of those other big time pest control companies. Vector 1 has been servicing our home for 3 years and I have absolutely no complaints about Stacy and the work he does. They service once a quarter and don’t lock you into any dumb contract like Orkin does. It’s usually around $ 80 for a standard treatment.
I know my sister has used Stacy a lot for their never-​ending mouse problem in the attic, and he has gone so far above and beyond what we would expect. One thing I’m always impressed with is that if you call him with an issue, he’ll probably come out and treat it for free, since you already paid for his services at the quarterly treatment. He’s a great guy with a great company. I’m happy to support it.

so greg (owner of vector 1) came over because i thought i had termites.
he seems very honest and is very energetic. i say honest because, well i did not have termites, they were ants. he could have easily lied and i would not have know any better.
needless to day i was relieved that they were ants and he did not charge me a thing.
actually, he ended up giving me an access grill for my tub and did a termite inspection of my entire house all for free.

Stacey is a really great guy and as honest as they come. He fixed us up after a rat/​ant/​termite problem. I would absolutely recommend him and his son Anthony if you need pest control.
