Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery

We had to take our little one here to get him checked out for some dry scalp on his head. My wife had scheduled the appointment a week before. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and gave me bunch of paper to fill out. I am not sure if my wife told if we could fill it out online and bring it in. :D
I would recommend to fill out the paper before you come to your first visit. Takes the pressure and stress off of you if you have little ones with you or busy schedule. We didn’t wait long to get seen by his doctor. Dr. Sandoval was very nice, funny, and caring with our son. Of course my little man was shy.
She asked me questions about the medication he was taking for it and if he experienced any other skins issues. After I told I had forgot to write the medication down before coming to his appointment. She named a few and was right on the naming of each one. I explained to her about the symptoms he was showing. She explained to me the possible issues he maybe having, that a lab test would ultimately clarify what we actually think it is.
She even told me it would take a few weeks to get the results back. But she also explained why in more detail. She was very informational and caring about everything when it came to my son.
Dr. Sandoval in my opinion was very professional, caring, and informative about all the questions I had and even gave me more information about my son’s condition.
The front desk was very welcoming and caring. The processed me soon I arrived with my son and we were seen on time.
The facility as a whole is very nice and spacious. I didn’t get to look around much but it was really nice and clean. Definitely made you feel comfortable to walk in and get seen for whatever your reason is.

I’ve had several visits to this location now, and all have been wonderful. First of all, the facility is gorgeous! You feel like you’re «somebody» even if you’re just there to get a wart removed. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they always offer me a bottle of water. My wait time is never long, which is very much appreciated. I always see Maegen Kennedy and she is AWESOME! She is very friendly, always helpful, and I’ve been very pleased with all of her procedures and recommendations. When anyone asks me where they should go for dermatology, I always recommend Westlake and Maegen!

This is THE MOST wonderful place with a happy, cheerful, professional staff who makes you feel good! In this day and age there are not many friendly people but this place is packed with them! Thank you Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery FRONT DESK CREW! You women are AWESOME!
I want to specifically mention a superstar PA, Meagan Kennedy for her superior cosmetic work and ability to listen and get it right EVERY time! My Botox has never been better and I trust her completely! I come from Houston where the Cosmetic Industry can be ridiculously pretentious and rude. Meagan Kennedy is such a delight and ARTIST with the work she does! Book her NOW!!!

Dr Sandoval and the entire staff was amazing. So kind and attentive. I was seen as a walk in due to a scheduling error. Dr Sandoval saw me with in 5 minutes. Everyone I came in contact with at this establishment was great! Happy happy new client.

All they are worried about is selling you another service. Patient care is not a priority. Would give 0 stars if possible

Do not waste your time with the Ultrashape process. It is a complete waste of time and money. Do not let them upsell you on the Super mode either. All of it is a waste.

I had been through two dermatologists before I met Emily Johnston, a PA at Westlake Dermatology. She is amazing! I struggled with acne and eczema and now both are completely gone. I’m always in and out of the office quickly and she knew exactly what I needed to clear up my skin. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

The office is really, really beautiful. I received the appointment in a timely manner. The staff is professional and courteous. Dr. Fridlington is awesome. My concern was long term cystic acne, Melasma (brown spots due to hormones), plus extremely dry, cracking, itching, red nose and face which at times I would not leave my home because it looked so awful. She diagnosed me (which no one has in the past) and I am currently receiving treatment. She addressed all my concerns and explained the meds she prescribed. She provided free samples and a coupon for me to receive one medication free by the company. In addition, I am getting elective procedures which no insurance will pay. Because I will be paying out-​of-​pocket I asked about the prices and received answers which are also compatible with other Dermatology offices. They also have a patient portal to send them messages, obviously not for emergency issues, and various information.
Now for the low reviews a few people have addressed. Some people have complained the office is too nice and «they are only concerned with getting patients to pay for this new building». Yes, the office is beautiful and clean. I would not visit a dirty, ugly place. There was one patient who complained about the high prices of procedures and medications. First, this a patient who said she had to pay out-​of-​pocket for the visit, etc. because she had «bad insurance». She should trying getting «good insurance» and she won’t have this problem. She should stop blaming the office for her «bad insurance» She also should have told them in the beginning she was paying out of pocket for everything and/​or asked a lot of questions. That’s just common sense. They never tried to get me to buy any products I did not need. I decided on my own to purchase sunblock and moisturizer on my own because over counter products are garbage and do not work for people with more problematic Seborreic dermatitis, cystic acne and Melasma. Their products are comparable to other businesses who sell these products. I needed to schedule my procedure within a specific time frame. There were no appointments available but Dr. Fridlington made time for me anyway. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Julie Fridlington for a few years now and highly recommend her to all of my friends and family. She is very friendly yet professional. She listens to all of my concerns and makes sure that I am well taken care of. The staff and facility are wonderful too. If you are looking for a wonderful Dermotologist please go see Dr. Fridlington. You won’t be disappointed.

I just called to schedule an appointment for a suspicious lesion on my arm and was told the first available appointment would be in 6 weeks!

Wow! Westlake Dermatology was exactly what I was looking for! The staff and PA were so nice and took care of my needs completely. They were not overly pushy at all and told me their recommendations and let me make the decisions on what to do. I highly recommend you give them a try.
The new office is beautiful and they make you feel completely comfortable. Meghan was awesome!

Dr Julie F. is a wonderful doctor. I have been here several times, for skin checks, mole removal, and surgery. When I get here within minutes I am called back. Dr Julie F. arrives in the room moments later and begins to work. I recently had surgery for a skin cancer removal and had minimal scaring. Dr Julie F. and staff are very nice and professional.

The staff and Dr. Fridlington could not have been more professional, kind, and efficient. I visited with my husband as a patient and we were both happy to experience a low wait time in a charming waiting room full of classic books.
Once the doctor saw us, she spent a good amount of time interfacing with us both. The doctor and nurse listened to my husband and took care of his many fears.
If all dermatology offices were this good, nobody would ever be afraid of getting skin checks or solving other health and beauty issues.

Dr Fridlington has always been kind, caring and friendly every time I have been in to see her. She takes great pride in making sure her patient has knowledge of diagnosis answering all questions with graceful tact. I have referred her to my friends, for which they too have been pleased. I must add the front office staff have always been very friendly and attentive too!

Dr Julie F. is such an amazing doctor. I have been here several times, anything from Botox, skin check, mole removal, incision surgery. You get the picture. Let me begin by saying you get here within minutes they call you back, you get into the dreaded gown and I know you usually wait in your underwear for at least 15 – 20 minutes before a Doctor enters. Not here, not Dr Julie F. Within minuets she knocks on the door and begins to work. I love that she is so professional and punctual. I recently had incision for a severe mole removed, I didn’t feel a thing and she was so nice. I can’t even begin to say how awesome this place is. Everyone is so nice and Dr Julie makes it worth it with her expertise. Love her!!!
