I met Sherrien when I was a groom’s men for my cousin’s wedding a few years back and decided to go with her for my own wedding for this past weekend since she is fluent in both Chinese and English. Definitely the best decision.
My wife and I procrastinated a lot and Sherrien was always there to remind us of the things that needed to be done and kept us organized. Since I work really late, I sometimes didn’t get around to working on the wedding until really late at night and was very surprised that she was there for us answering our questions in a very timely fashion. Also since my wife is Korean and I am Chinese, our wedding was packed with cultural components which all went really well and the whole day and night went by without any hiccups. We have received so many compliments from our family and attendees and many were regarding Sherrien’s professionalism.
The highlights of working with Sherrien:
1) She officiated the ceremony in both Chinese and English
2) She handled distracting jokes from groomsmen by being able to throw jokes back
3) She got ours back and stood up for us when vendors didn’t perform
4) She pick vendors that were not only good, but also matched with our personality and wedding style
5) She did such a good job now my wife wants to go work for her
All in all, if you are going to get married, call Sherrien.

Honest Review. Sherrien is absolute nightmare to work with to a point where we FIRED Sherrien as our wedding planner. My wife and I had to fire Sherrien 2 months before our wedding in 2014 and it was a long battle. Here is why. My wife and I booked the most expensive $ 6000 tip-​to-​toe package which the price is $ 6000 up to 15% of the total wedding cost because we just move to California and didn’t know any vendors. At first it seems like a good idea because we had 6 months to plan an entire wedding. Sherrien is absolutely a good sales person with excellent verbal BSing skills. (more proof later on). She made it sound she was so busy and our wedding day just happen to have another couple before our meeting wanting to book the same day. I highly doubt it, but moving on. We asked for some suggestions on various vendors /​location etc, and she provided a list of preferred vendors. We sat on this list for 2 months and went ahead and booked our venue and I know which photographer /​videographer and mentioned it at our first meeting to book since this vendor shot my cousins wedding. So my wife and I booked these 3 vendors. After back and forth email, and calling various vendors like invitation cards some had move or gone out of business she was suppose to help us design and get us quotes instead Sherrien emailed me 2 company and no one contacted us because they went out of business. Raising the first red flag this list has not been recently updated. As we ask for advice on things Sherrien wasn’t caring or attending many of the meetings as contracted. One day we did our walk thru at reception site. We learned the 15% has to be charged to our Venue space /​photographer which neither she helped us find nor negotiate with. Just these alone was close to $ 68,000×15% — $ 10,200 And yet SHES DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO HELP US On Venue selection and photographer /​videographer, except kept pushing us to send over the contract so she can charge her 15%. A lot of good vendors are all booked up, most vendors office discounts on the spot if we sign up right away so we made the decision to book instead of waiting 2 months to get Sherrien’s attention. 3 months went by after signing the contract and 3 months till our wedding, and the only booked vendors were the one we booked ahead. Sherrien keep saying to use her vendors and relax as we have a lot of time. We were extremely confused about her responsiblity and for the sake of time, we started doing everything ourselves design, calling around and got cheaper prices and better vendors to do our invitation. DJ Vendor: Sherrien said she is going on a cruise to Alaska with her mother but if you look back on her twitter /​blog she said planning a wedding on a cruise is hard work (BULL SH*T) anyways she came back and threw the ball to us saying if we contacted the DJ company? Okay again thinking Sherrien would help get us a quote and design everything she failed to do that. WHATEVER. I went ahead and told the DJ /​Lighting company what we wanted how many lights etc. This stuff was suppose to be sent by Sherrien so all we need to do is sign the contract & pay. There is just too many to list, and 2 months before our wedding. We haven’t booked anything else Except Venue /​Photo/​Video. We both are now extremely worried, everyone is rushing us Sherrien isn’t following up with us, and keep throwing the ball back to us to do thing and insisting on charging 15% on EVERYTHING? My wife and I couldnt sleep for 3 days and had to write down everything that went wrong in order to call Sherrien and complain about her lack of service, failed to follow through on her contract, and difficult to work with. The call finally was made after a long discussion she continues to defend herself with Lies after Lies, and even blaming on my wife for not doing anything. SHe didn’t know my wife was next to me on speaker and was furious about her lies. Long story short, Sherrien the industry no longer does 15% of the entire wedding cost. Because if my uncle shot my wedding photo you get $ 0. Sherrien said then we charge an Industry Standard, which is BS because there is no price on art. If I hired an hollywood photographer you get paid a lot but family shoot my wedding you get paid $ 0. everything should be a flat fee. We said we wanted more gatsby theme wedding and she didn’t like gold and glitzy design. After a long argument we said we want to cancel our contract. She said fine and insisted to keep our $ 1500 Deposit even though she didn’t do what her contract states. But we need to move on. Next day she sends us an email saying she has an emergency medical condition and was going to ask us to cancel the contract anyways. BS again. She did writes an immature post on facebook bad mouthing a client of hers which I know it was me. Luckly I did a screen print & will post later. This is very immature /​unprofessional/​deceiving business. Im guessing a lot of reviews are Fake and she writes it herself !

Sherrien Shui is extremely experienced on all types of wedding planning. My wife and I were apart in different states (CA and NJ) and both of us were working so it was nearly impossible to prepare our wedding without Sherrien’s help. It was very easy to work with Sherrien because she was very responsible and could pick up our thought very quickly. She is so experienced so she knew exactly what we wanted and provided so many ideas that we had never thought of. She always considered the best interest of her client by explaining the pros and cons for each idea during the course of planning so we felt very secure.
Our wedding was incredibly gorgeous and full of touching moments. We received tremendous amount of compliments from our guests. Sherrien also did an amazing job being our reception emcee. Khanh and Polly were so helpful taking care of a lot of coordination works and being our wedding day coordinators. Overall we had a very pleasant experience working with Twogether Events. We will definitely recommend Twogether Events to other people!

Sherrien planned a perfect wedding for us. From the start to the end, she was professional and patient. She gave us many options to choose from and helped us negotiating with the vendors. On the day, she made the wedding smooth and the guests were entertained throughout the evening. She made our big moment memorable and stress-​free.

I am so glad found Sherrien as my wedding planner, she is very professional and good experience. We were contract with another company CrossLove before, soooo disappoint with her service and zero experience. We had to terminated contract with her one month before our wedding, in a month Sherrien pulled everything together and the wedding is extremely successful. All our friends and family told us they ever attend such a fun delicate wedding, we are very happy and appreciated Sherrien and grace’s work!

Because our son and daughter-​in-​law live in China, we hired Sherrien to plan every detail of our son’s wedding. Sherrien was very accommodating with our requests, helping us finding all the vendors and services, and coordinating all activities. After she learned about their love story, she designed a very unique «golf themed wedding» for them. Every décor was related to golf which gave our wedding guests a remarkable experience. We highly recommend Sherrien to our friends who have children that are planning their weddings.

Twogether Events and Sherrien is simply the best! Without her and her team, I can’t possibly had a dream fairytale wedding at Disneyland hotel with only less then two months preparation time. I had the whole package including from the initial design to the big day coordination. As we all know preparing a wedding can be very stressful and dramatic. But with their help, I feel everything goes so smooth and easy that we could just enjoy the happiness of getting married and starting the new life. Sherrien treated me not just as a client, but as a friend and even a family member. When she knew my mother couldn’t be with me until several days before the wedding, she even went together with me to select my wedding dress. On the big day, the whole team did a fantastic work, organized everything so well, and I felt we were princess and prince for that day, pure happiness and excitement. Thank Sherrien and her team gave me an unforgettable perfect wedding. Now my hubby’s cousin (also one of our wedding party members) is planning his wedding, and he goes directly to Sherrien for help without thinking. Because we already knew who is the best in this field!

My husband done and performed all sorts of research before we finally decided to hire Ms. Sherrien as our wedding coordinator, and the end result was truly worth the life time, loaded with every bit of details we will never forget. We were really happy, we had took the time and done our homework, it proved it was very much necessary, since this is a once A life time event we’re talking about here, obviously find someone fully reliable and trust worth is the key, Ms. Sherrien made sure our experience starting from the preparation stage all the way until the end of it was all wonderfully set up and enjoyable, pressure free, so we can focus on ourselves and be relax. Price wise, it worth every penny we put in, knowingly Ms. Sherrien is an professional whom is in this line of business because true passion, unlike some others, you can tell they are in it for profit. In our case, at the end, we actually done much more and still saved some solid dollars, which eventually went to our vacation budget =P. We thank her for everything, and certainly would recommend her to everyone of you whom wish your most important day of life is under solid care.

I choose Sherrien’s wedding service back to Sept 2005. After 10 yrs, I still remembered all the details that she help us for my wedding day. From flower selection, party favor, ceremony and the vendors coordination, we don’t need to worry about ANYTHING. The wedding was so smooth. Not only she is a great wedding planner; also she is a amazing MC. I have recommend serval of my friends for her services already and will recommend everyone if you need Professional Wedding Planner, she will be the one you looking for.

My wife and I would like to thank Sherrien to be our wedding’s officiant and MC. She is very detail oeriented and experienced, and everyone in the wedding had a great time! We feel much comfortable to have Sherrien to be our side.

We hired Twogether Events for our recent 7÷7÷13 wedding. We booked Sherrien as our officiant and MC, and she assigned Jessica Su as our «week» of coordinator. They coordinated and handle the entire day from morning tea ceremony, to the Westin, to the wedding ceremony, and the reception/​banquet. We had a few hiccups along the way (i.e. a bee/​wasp attack, delayed kitchen, etc.), but Twogether Events handled each situation professionally and smoothly. We could not have been any happier.
Sherrien’s experience showed during the ceremony when she had to remain calm to keep both my wife and I calm during a «little bee incident.» Also I would not have ever guessed that Sherrien lost her script (due to excessive heat in her iPad) during the ceremony, because she played it off so well and finish officiating the ceremony perfectly and smoothly.
Sherrien made the reception fun and lively. We have been receiving non-​stop compliments from our guests about Sherrien’s «MC» skills. Even with a delayed kitchen, she kept the guests engaged and entertained that no one noticed the food was delayed. Sherrien really knows how to engage a crowd and keep the party going!
Jessica was great as a coordinator. She didn’t get involved with our wedding plans/​timeline until the week of the wedding. As soon as she got involved she took care of all the vendors and the setup instructions. The day of the wedding Jessica kept us on schedule and took care of all the logistical aspects behind the scene. We would not have been able to make our wedding day as smooth as it was, moving to 4 different locations, if it was not for Jessica’s help.
Overall the wedding was a success, and everyone had a great time! We are still receiving non-​stop compliments about our wedding. Everyone’s raving about Sherrien and her team. They are experienced, professional, and exceptional! They also have a very reliable network of vendors if needed. My wife and I are so grateful to meet Sherrien and her team, because now we know who to go to for social events. Twogether Events is definitely the «buzz» around town!

I am so happy to have Twogether Events doing my wedding planning and MC. Sherrien concerned every detail, and try to make everything perfect, and I am so glad to have her to be my MC also. I heard a lot of compliments about her from my guests. Also, Michelle, Candice and David were helping me with everything to make sure the wedding was going smooth. All I gotta say is Twogether Events is THE BEST!!! They made my wedding this past Sunday on 7÷22÷2012 as good as I had dreamed about. I’m an extremely picky person and I did some major research online before I decided upon Twogether Events (their competitors were no match at all…)
Well I called up Sherrien and we arranged to meet at a small café. From there, I chose their week of wedding coordinating since we were two months away from from our wedding and I pretty much had an idea of what I wanted. Sherrien set me up with Alisha Hung who is this company’s gem. We sent emails back and forth and she gave me some ideas, but it wasn’t until the last week and half that she really stepped in and got everything moving along. She met with me 3 times total. The first time to go over my wedding timeline, second time for our rehearsals, and the third was when I dropped off my favors and everything else for the wedding. She was EXTREMELY organized and made sure all the vendors were on the same page.
So then, wedding day comes and it was perfect!!! Words cannot express how thankful I am to Sherrien our bilingual MC who brought some excitement during the reception and pretty Alisha who worked her magic and set up everything as I would have done so myself. During all the hustle and bustle of the ceremony, picture taking, and dress changing, Alisha was there to make sure everything went according to our timeline and that all my concerns were addressed. She is really beyond professional!!! ;)
Needless to say I am a very happy bride!

We hired Sherrien for our MC and officiant and Alisha for our month of wedding coordinator. I LOVED THEM!!! They are very organized and on top of it! They noticed things that i may need to correct that i did not notice. My wedding day was STRESS FREE because of them!!! I did not worry about anything and everything happened according to the timeline (before the wedding, Alisha will make the wedding timeline for you according to what you want to do during your wedding). The morning of the wedding, I handed Alisha all the wedding favors, guest book and etc. and she took over everything from there, made sure all the vendor arrived and set up on time, she wrapped up everything after the wedding as well. She made sure we ran according to timeline.
Sherrien is a very lively person, she brings your spirits up. She is very experienced and she is bilingual. I couldn’t be happier.
They have different packages depending on how much help you would like. the package we booked is the month of coordination, we booked all the vendors ourselves. A few month before the wedding, Alisha made sure I booked all the vendors I needed. She asked for the contact info, she even asked for the contact info of my bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, ushers, guest book attendants. Before the wedding, she will email everyone and remind them of their duties and final reminders.
All the girls that day were super helpful, and very pleasant to work with. Anything you need, they will be there ! they are just great! awesome ! the best! =)

Having Sherrien as my wedding MC and her wedding planning team as the coordinators, this is the best decision I’ve ever made in one of the most important things in my life so far!
Me and my wife May could not ever think about who can do the job right on the biggest day with reasonable price, qualify of the work, professionalism, many and many!
Sherrien and the wedding planning team had total control of my wedding date, all my guests are impressed with great memories, and this is exactly what we are looking for on such an event.

Sherrien saved our wedding. The MC we hired was a complete flop. Luckily she was able to bring excitement to the wedding banquet with her charisma, bubbly personality and professional manner and most importantly her organizational skills.
I especially liked that song she played when the groom walked out to the center stage «who let the dogs out …»
