History

Established in 1987.

By the time I quit working for other people and started my own company I was a single dad raising two children on my own in 1987, in 1998 I met the most wonderful woman in the world who had 3 boys and we became partners in everything we did. Now we have 4 boys and 1 girl and as the kids started becoming of age I started training them in the floor business and putting them to work, and to this day almost 20 years later they are all still in the business.

Our quality of work has improved every year since I started my own business, I was always the kind of guy who wanted to do better. Although I’m no longer physically able to do the work myself, that’s ok because my boys are much better than I ever was. They all have the same drive that I always had, and strive to do better and better work. Right now I would put any of my boys work up against the best in the business.

I’m Al Havner, I’m the kind of guy who never chose to do a good job, I always strive to do the best job and be better at it than all the rest. I’m about at the end of my career, the olé body has had all it can take. I don’t do any of the installing or refinishing any more but I spent to last 20 years making my son Justin a top floor guy in the business. Justin was a major reason for us Winning the 2 national hardwood floor assoc. floor of the year contest. He is a true professional and I would put his work up against anyone in the country, it’s hard to say it, but he’s a better floor finisher than I am. Your in very good hands with Justin and His crew. Justins younger brother Doug runs Justins other crew and He’s every bit as good as anyone in this business. Between these 2 guys alone they have about 38 years experience. We also have a few other workers we got from other companies and have been with us several years.
